While Jurassic Park featured seven dinosaur species, The Lost World boasted thirteen. Of those, seven were entirely new species designed by Stan Winston Studio; six of those new designs were fully functional animatronic creations: the chicken-sized Compsognathus, an adult and baby Stegosaurus, a Pteranodon, a baby T-rex, and a Pachycephalosaurus a.k.a the "Pachy" that would bring a punch of visceral reality to the thrilling dinosaur round-up in The Lost World: #JurassicPark.

The Lost World animatronics are probably the best animatronics the franchise had. You did an impecable job!
The Pachy has become one of my favorite dinosaurs and I love how you guys managed to bring it to life in The Lost World! The coloration is something that I really love as well. Often overlooked but the colors of the dinosaurs like the Pachy, or the "tiger-pattern" Velociraptor really made the dinosaurs unique in this movie!
One of my favorite dinosaurs from the movie, it’s just a shame it wasn’t used more.
Stan Winston was a genius of both design and special effects! RIP Stan Winston.

This is awesome! Very beautifully done.
But it made me laugh out loud because one of the first things I thought about are Dr. Burke and his friend sprinting away from the Pachy after it slammed a Hunter through the car door 😂😂

These videos of the making-of jurassic park franchise are one of the most interesting parts of this channel, The next one could be the t rex family? That would be awesome to see
Definitely one of my favorite dinosaurs! Since this film came out when I was a kid and was one of the first PG-13 movies I saw, it might have actually been this iteration that got me interested in dinosaurs. (At least it was one of the things). Just looking at it and thinking "wow, that's what an animal can look like?"
Even the maquette is datailed to the beak :), JurassicCollectables has copies of some of TLW original maquettes and those are works of masters.

Awesome, I can't wait to see this one, it was always interesting to watch videos about behind the scenes of Jurassic Park movies, and I can see all the hard work you're putting in making these videos, and the work you put in the jp franchise!

Could you do a video or feature video on the differences between liquid latex , foam latex and the silicone rubbers tin/platinum, each’s strengths, weakness, benefit of one over the others ect. 🙂
