very unusual and extremely useful to see a top level player's commentary on this level of play. Many thanks to Justin and Dr Elena and may we have more please?
A lot of pressure on DrElena knowing she's being watch and commented on, but its very watchable as you get to see the mistakes a lot of us make and the explanation as to why they are mistakes,
great stuff Justin. Great to see Dr.Elena again. CONGRATS YOU TWO. All the best. Justn getting married measn LESS backgammon and more Elena time....less expendable $ to go playing tourneys :) hahaha @ 50:14 I think the reason to make the 4 point is not only to make your board stronger in case of a hit later but it also duplicates your opps 1's to make them decide which 1 to hit with . Keep them coming. We love to learn from beginner/intermediate player mistales as we are closer to her level than yours for sure!!! take care salsaguy
Hi Justin, would like to pat you on the back, and I will anyway because you videos are so entertaining, but your analysis at 52:50 is the wrong way around. For the 22, Blue played 6/off 2/off, whereas XG recommended 6/4(4). You thought that Blue played 6/4(4). So I guess in this case, just making sure you win the game is more important than playing agressively for the gammon. Understandable that you could get the two mixed up, as you had a lot of analysis to do. Elena's a good sport to let her blunders be seen to the world, but that's how you learn, right.
congrats on the engagement!!!!
