Amelia was my favoutire character on Private Practice (by miles) and is my favourite character on Grey's
If you haven't watched Private Practice, I really don't think that you have the right to hate or judge her. You need to know her back-story; you need to see her struggles and losses; you need to see why she is the way she is and the person she's become.
She's such a strong woman that can pull herself up time and again when going through shit. She's tripped over so many molehills, but has climbed and conquered any mountain she's faced. She doesn't always need people to pull her through her life and the traumas she goes through, and that is truly amazing

They started to dabble in it a bit after Derek died, but not too much. I do hope that they dive deeper into her character and her struggles with addiction, as you do too. She's such a deep character with so many levels to her and I don't think that people who haven't seen her can understand that.
I know for an absolute fact that she'll end up having a baby with Owen, she just needs more time and to talk it over with him more.
I'm just curious how do you know for a fact she will have a baby with owen?

I haven`t watched private practice yet, but she is my favorite character of Grey`s Anatomy since she arrived in season 10
I watch this a lot , and it helps me stay sober . Nothing is better than being healthy , nothing in this world is worth risking your life .
I been through that with alcohol it's so hard especially the guilt of losing those who loved you cause of nasty stuff said and wasnt cause fees of wanting to get better that self medicating we thought worked...Ihave been 4 months clean from alcohol..
It's so damb hard to get to that point!!

Caterina has always, will always, and continues to act circles around everybody in both shows. Best character and actress in either series!
I love Amelia she was one of the most relatable and most realistic characters the songs is perfect for her and watching his video shows just how far she's come
Also to add something April from Grey's anatomy struggle seems similar to Amelia's struggle except for the drug addiction they both lost their babies in a horrible way both used drinking as a way to deal with their pain both had problems with the men they dated for example Owen( Amelia) Jackson Matthew(April) they both lost their faith in God they both hit rock bottom and they both came back from it there's two women are similar and different at the same time their struggles were different but they were both hard they are strong as well

Amelia is my favorite character in greys anatomy and in private practice because she is just so strong and proves that what you do in the past does not define you

Alex Roldan addie was a good sister but I think merideth has proven to be the best sister even if her blood sisters but then none of the knew she had a giant tumor on the brain that skewed her thought process , now she is doing so much better in her thoughts and reasoning skills

this was amazing. i myself am battling with addiction so i understand amelia's character pretty well. not only understand it, but feel her pain. this video expressed all of that and the guilt and self-hatred, confusion and agony, loss of faith and trauma, (self)-distructive tendencies and loss in general pretty well. it described addiction, the long road to recovery, the damaging relapses, the doubt, the misery and altered mind, lack of understanding from others, everything. it also described the beauty of sobriety which is so important. this video was nice. well done dude

I have MDD GAD and PTSD and recover is really fricken hard I have drawn from Amelia's strength. Thought of her bravery when I was in a treatment center. If she can do it I can do it. I struggled with self harm for seven years of my life. It's been hard but I've been clean for about a month. I listened to this song a lot ( over and over) to remind myself I'm a badass for not engaging in behaviors.
Amelia was always a really strong character, caterina is so talented her acting is scarily good😂

I wasn't intersted much in Amelia until the episode she operated Nicole Herman's brain tumor. The strength she showed there really made me love her. So if I understood right (i only watch grey's anatomy) Private Practice shows her life before she went to Grey-Sloan?
Yep, that's absolutely right! I would highly recommend watching her Private Practice storyline - it is incredibly moving and it explains so much of what is happening now in season 13. Her first episode is Season 3 Episode 19 I believe ;)

For those of you brave enough, Private Practice is a visual embodiment of chicken soup for the soul: a bunch of tears followed immediately by soothing them. So essentially, real life.

Her character I have been through mine was alcohol but ya horrible especially the guilt so hard makes you wanna sponge back just to self medicate 💔😔

I was in a 4 year relationship with a guy and he left no attempt of getting professional help just left from my drinking..Took a good friend away to and it's been so hard but ya the guilt is the hardest...💔💔💔💔😔

I have watched both Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice and Amelia is one of my favorite caraters. But the more I'm watching this video the more I'm feeling that putting Amelia in Grey's is quite a lost for Caterina. Her storyline is getting annoying in Grey's beside PP. The drugs and Unicorn Baby were so much more powerfull than the love/sister stories she has now. We could also see the amazing acting skills of Caterina in PP. I'm not saying that she is not a great actress anymore but that Grey's don't really let Caterina shows her acting skills the way she did.
I liked her story with drug addict girl Betty in Grey's.
But over all agree. Owen is boring character. Then comes link and it's getting more interesting. But in Grey's Amelia was always a scapegoat for weird behaviour (later to be explained by tumour or pregnancy) and shaming (especially from Meridith). No one understands her.
Also the character has already been through so much, so I don't really want for her emotional drama scenes. I saw some people wants her to use drugs again but I really don't. We had a drama with her wanting to do so, to going to the meetings online, link not understanding it and else. Yeah it felt kinda dry but it was there.
I notes that amelia never has bloopers on blooper vidieos. Its prof she is an amazing actor
