I know how to make KFC'S gravy!! It might even taste a little better too lol. Ingredients: 1 tbsp chicken bouillon powder,1 tbsp beef bouillon powder,2 tbsp butter,2 tbsp flour,2 to 3 cups water. The trick is to make the roux (flour & butter) really tan before adding the other ingredients. You're welcome! ❤💃

You blend the spices into 2 cups of flour. And for the liquid bath It's 1 cup of buttermilk and 1 egg. I've done it and it is spot on. My family was convinced is was KFC.
Hey, quick question; did you let the chicken rest first in the liquid bath or did you do it the same way as in the video?

That is my next try, this one was a quick fry in peanut oil on my woodstove over high heat and it was close enough for me, fantastic, especially at 6am in the middle of winter

I wish this was exactly how we made them in store, but we don’t even eggwash the chicken we just put it in a grated metal basket and dunk it in water for the “wash” and also MatPat found out the true original recipe was only discovered to be salt pepper and flour.
After $40 in ingredients I think I’ll just hit the local KFC drive through! 😝
dude, you can get the spices for legit 1$ each at walmart. buying ALL ingredients would prob not cost more than 20 including milk, eggs, flour. And you can make more than one batch. Spend on though. :)

This is the BEST fried chicken recipe I have ever tried at home. I have KFC in my town, 15 minutes drive from my house. Usually, the KFC chicken loses its crispiness in the box when I return from the store to home. But from now on, I can eat like just made KFC crispy chicken whenever I want to eat it at home.
