1. Phone free mornings (begin your day in silence, meditate) 2. Drink more water (at least 8 glasses a day) 3. Move more (5 minutes every hour) 4. Tech-free meal time (mindful eating) 5. Daily decluttering (spend 10 minutes daily decluttering your area) 6. Gratitude journaling (before bedtime, 3 things you’re grateful for) 7. Set a sleep schedule (aim to go to bed and wake up at the same everyday, even on weekends) 8. Cut back on sugar (starts with small swap, water instead of sugary drinks) 9. A digital detox for an hour (before bedtime) 10. Connect relationally (at least one genuine conversation daily)
Joshua, Great video. I've been praying daily for the Lord to help me be more friendly to others & to lead people in my way to talk about the Lord. Today, at the doctors office I was chatting with a lady & I was able to give her a tract. I pray she reads it. Thank you for all the tips. 😊
How just purposing to “do the dishes” (often and consistently) changed my whole relationship with my entire home and greatly improved my mental health. Lol. As they say tho. One thing leads to another…which can be a bad thing or a good thing. But it also is true that decluttering played a huge role in that also. But that too wasn’t what most folks would call a “big” thing. Well you know tho. Thank you Dana K White. Lol. Another one for me was simply consider myself and my own needs for a change and say NO more often.
This was just what I needed today, as I am embarking on a renewed effort to de-clutter and improve my mental health in preparation for a new chapter in my life.
Love this. I definitely need to make decluttering a regular part of my life. I try to add a new daily habit to my life every 6 months or so until it just becomes part of my daily routine. I commit to doing those things daily. I don’t set a time limit on them, so some days I might only read one page in a book and that’s ok. Some things I do every day now consistently are - guided meditation when I first wake up ( even if it’s only a 3 minute one some days), read a book, learn a language on Duolingo, write in my gratitude journal, walk the dog ( only excuse is if I’m sick). At the moment I’m adding daily drawing or painting but struggling a bit with consistency with this one so far 😄
This is a very practical video - all doable and important. My biggest Problem is a regular Sleep schedule. As long as I can remember, I've got sleepy in evening - sleep early - wake up sometime after 1 AM and don't get back to sleep until 4 or so
I can’t claim to know your situation, but I know as a nutritionist, this can be often from low blood sugar. People say it’s a no, but a small protein snack before bed is fine, like one or two pieces of turkey or a small dish of no sugar yogurt. This substantially helps many people. 🩵
Thank you Joshua. All straightforward suggestions - I do some of these things already without thinking or knowing about it. BUT the sugar is my struggle. More fruit & veggies!
You stand exactly in front of the lamp... it looks like your head is hold by a chord... And you stand in front of the microwave... try to stand somewhere else... Love your vlogs!! You inspire!
Thank you very much for these! So easy to implement and so helpful in improving our quality of life. I love it! Keep these coming. I love your channel❤😊
What a fantastic list of transformative habits! 🌟 Starting with just one or two can lead to remarkable changes in a month. Consistency truly is the secret sauce to unlocking a happier, healthier lifestyle.
Or you could realize that time is precious and do ALL of these at once. The results will be worth it faster than if you do one or two a month or whatever.
So I read all the time work during the day and I'm In college at night I love nothing but a shower and the read don't watch TV when you say no electronics I read on a kindle does this count
what exactly is a 'genuine conversation' supposed to be? if it means not lying about what you're talking about that is easy. but if it means having a deep conversation then that isn't exactly something you can choose to do on your own.
I'm sorry, I just cracked up when he said "spend the first few minutes of your day.... in silence." Bc I have a toddler and 9mo old baby 😂 yeah. No chance of silence here
speaking of little things: please. The T in often is silent. Look it up. This is such a common problem and I don't understand it. I don't understand how educated people keep doing this. It's like hitting the S at the end of Illinois. It is annoying and it is wrong. It is pronounced. "offen". Thank you.
This comment is annoying- get a life, and stop wasting your time correcting people on the internet. Is your mission in life to make sure all words are pronounced correctly?!
Not that it bothered me but just to let you know that the text on tip #6 also reads as "phone-free mornings" 👍🏻
Thanks for catching that Noah. The text on #6 should read "gratitude journaling."
Now we’ll remember those two even more😆👍🏽
1. Phone free mornings (begin your day in silence, meditate)

Thank-you for condensing this
Looking for this. Thanks!
😅
He contradicts #7 in another video where he tells you to go to bed when you're tired and not at any specific time.
book that helped me and changed my perspective is 'Unveiling your hidden potential' by Bruce Thornwood
Every night before my husband and I go to bed we always say to each other our 3 Gratitudes for the day.
Beautiful!

James Clear's Atomic Habits is a MUST-READ! He frames it clearly. Your habits emanate from your identity. Be intentional in the habits.
I am currently reading Atomic Habits, so far, I agree.
Absolutely. James Clear is number one in terms of habit building with Atomic Habits. A must read.
I need to move more, declutter every day, and start my gratitude journal, thanks for a wonderful video to keep me on my improvement path!

Every time I go to the bathroom at work, I do 10 squats in the stall. I drink a lot so I go a lot… 😂!
Very nice 😅
If nobody has asked why you always come out of the toilets with your face all flushed, light sweats and a little out breath yet…they will 😂
Excellent idea!

Sugar is the most dangerous thing on the planet.
Stress and toxic behaviour (people) is way more dangerous...
as great as your content is, the advice of drinking more than thirst is actually scientifically expired. Please reflect on this if possible.
Live vegan ✌🏻
