okay it isn't "dead", it's just discontinued. But with the CPU prices ramping up the way they have, I doubt many will jump to the new socket generation processors in the near future
intel fanboy ? intel better this intel better that only clock is important what about ipc on each generation and why compare a 5000 series to a 12th seies the 5000 series came out with intel 10th series wich we all know was a powerhog so pipe down a litte please. oh and isnt lga1700 on itslast legs not just like am4 meaning that am5 has more to give until 2026 letting new processors to be dropen in with a bios update. im not sure but both options amd or intel are not a good choice at the moment wait till 2024 and see what happens!
@@aperson............. then go am4 or a older intel platform yes am5 is not cheap if you go high end but low end is around 100€ in the eu schould be similar elsewhere trust you gut and decide but just letting you know Liga 1700 is on its last legs so chose wisely and believe in your choice it’s your pc and no someone else’s.
@@AnimeLover-ri5em am4 ended in ddr4 in 2022. I dont prefer to encourage new builds with am4.lga1700 has ddr5 and resell value is appreciated. Lga1700 is not expensive, people Don't know what to buy.thus Am5 comes in and saves the day 😎

Lha 1700 is dead, the last cpu it supports is is the 19 14900k and there will be no more cpus for it, leaving you with no upgrade path

No the latest LGA 1700 keeps up with the rtx 4090 and am4 latest CPU wont
