I can't believe the poke fest was sold out by time I received the notification from the game.
carlos garcia I was their at the start and they refused to accept may card. it did not like the number it was red showing it was not good but I typed it in correctly. Fortunately my nephew has an extra that a friend decided not to use so it is mine. Mystic Rules.

i was there since the clock counted down, i kept getting timed out, and kept crashing, then it was sold out. i tried to add the tickets to my cart probably about 25 times and couldnt even get past that without crashing. so disappointed. now theyre selling on ebay for $300...now I have a 6 year old and 7 year old who are heartbroken because thats what they wanted to do for our summer vacation trip.
of course scalpers will get involved it makes money or banned spoofers are trolling hard

It’s absolutely wild to look back at the older videos and see how much Nick has evolved as well as the game, some mechanics we are so used to not being on screen is such an ‘uncanny valley’ feeling.
New gyms are popping up (even if they are currently closed) Nylander in Caribou is now a gym. Hopefully new stops will also be added.

Thank goodness the one Pokestop near my girlfriend's house isn't a gym now or I'd have no pokestop pokemon or pokestops lol. There's plenty elsewhere but not close enough to just walk there quickly and back (need a car). There's another pokestop but nothing spawns there.
They've even added gyms around me that weren't pokestops before.
Since all Gym's act as pokestops now you should still be fine for items. Not quite sure if gyms will spawn pokemon like pokestops though.

Gyms are not only shutting down, they are also changing locations! There were 3 Poké Stops by a church near my house. Now there are 2, and the 3rd turned into a gym.

with the gym rework coming this is the perfect time for tip, rev, and mystic to collaborate and show how fun it will be to take gyms down with friends
Gyms seem to still divide the players so they wont be able to play together
They can do gym raids together whilst being on different teams though, and that's the only reason to team up in big numbers.. they could help each other out with taking regular gyms down too.. just only have one of them put a pokemon in and do the same for the rest of the group but gym raids is more where it's at.
Also gym raids are good as they make having a strong pokemon good.. instead of the stupid prestiging crap where you gotta use a weak pokemon.

It's better that way imo, gives you more reason to continue playing. If you could pick the move you wanted with one TM there would be little reason to continue doing the raids once you got 10-15 of each.

Looks like they are adding gyms!! There are now 3 closed gyms at the college and before their was only 2 gyms the same with a nearby park use to have only 2 gyms and now show 3 closed gyms :) This is super exciting.

Ravyn Liam in the UK they spawn like crazy
The very first Swinub I ever caught was a beast with good IVs and once I eventuallllly got enough candies (not many of them around), it evolved into an over 1900CP Powder Snow + Avalanche Piloswine.
I don't power anything up ever. Not bad.. Ice Shard is a better quick attack, but 2nd best moveset when there's only 2 good ice movesets to begin with is pretty lucky.
hassan nassar They spawn decently here, but for some reason they don't have good IVs(like many other Pokémon). Haven't found one with IVs above 70%.
Yea some Pokemon just NEVER! have good IVs whilst already being strong.
Like in my whole time playing the game, there's still Pokemon here and there that I have ever found a good IV strong one to evolve lol.

metalhood the only one announced is the golden razz berry. But considering the effects of the nanab berry that's probably gonna be the most used berry to give to Pokémon in gyms
yeah because they have pretty much no other helpful use^^ outside of events there aren't many rare pokemon in my town so the other berries are piling up faster than I can spend them anyway

Curious - whenever movies or tv shows have Long Beach, they usually show how busy the place is. Judging from your start shots, it looks no different to a normal Melbourne (Aust.) day in good weather. are they going to do anything about spoofers hitting the gyms?
If not then why release the gym re-work if they are not going to fix it.
The rework isn't to eliminate spoofers.. it's just to rework the gym system.. it seems way more awesome now.
As far as spoofers which is a different issue and no reason to hold the progress of the game development side of things back, they have been working on killing spoofers, not much else they can do, in the mean time they will continue on with developing the game.
Siberius Wolf then wtf is the point of releasing any further updates if spoofers can spoof gym's makes no sense.
unknown Alexxx the new gym system doesn't favor spoofers. uit need your pokemon back to get coins. that means no one will be hugging gyms for weeks at a time.
Shakespeare Play well Pokemon go hub tweeted "They have something for spoofers"so I'm guessing they can't hit gym's unless they are there physically if this is true this would be amazing!!
unknown Alexxx i hope it's true cause there are 4 level 10 valor gyms near where i live and all of them are spoofers and some of them have multiple accounts so this is a really great news for everyone who's sick of level 10 spoofer filled gyms

Crackdemon how can you or anyone judge how he feels about the game. like I said if money was the factor, he would sit at home and make more money in a week than he probably gets from a month of pokemon. he rather decides to go out, vlog and even explore. just because he's more marketable doesn't mean he's a fake fan

I, like most people, grew up watching the anime season 1 before school, then had Pokemon Silver on gameboy color.. that was it.. So I knew all of gen 1 and sommmme of gen 2.. I had no idea what happened to pokemon after that since it never crossed my radar again.. then when pokemon go was coming out I was like holy crappp still going? lol. I wasn't sure if it was even Ash as the main character anymore.. like Yugioh and stuff it just starts getting weird.. Pokemon seems to still be Ash and whatnot though...

Gyms are being move to new location also. Notice two new gym in NYC Central Park Zoo area that was not there this morning. They are disable for now. All Pokestop is still working. Still able to catch wild Pokémons.

Hey guys, check your local Pokéstops. There used to be one at the park near my house but now there's two. Also, there used to be a Pokéstop at a local church, but it's been converted into a gym.

**NEW FEATURE IDEA** :
Add voiceover narration that reads the pokemon's info/description in your pokedex like Ash's pokedex did in the show. That robotic voice is such a huge and iconic part of the original show, yet it's missing from pokemon go. I'm assuming it would probably pretty easy to add since the pokemon company probably owns the recordings from the show, so it's pretty likely they can just add in the voice narration like Ash had in his pokedex. Pokemon go's whole concept is to be immersive and authentic, so adding this would be really huge in achieving that.
WHY IT SHOULD BE ADDED:
1) Small additional feature that's easy to add and people would love since it adds a lot to the immersive/realistic aspect of pokemon go, which is the whole point of the app
2) Doesn't require months to add like major features (ie the gym rework, which was needed but took a while to implement)
3) Niantic adds major new features on a quarterly basis, which included stuff like the gym rework & adding Gen 2 pokemon. That means that there's long periods of time in between quarterly updates where nothing new really gets added, except for minor text features. This feature would give us something new, so we're not constantly let down when every new update is just the beloved "minor text fixes." A lot of people stuck with pokemon go when nothing new was being added, but people got bored of nothing new being added and the game did lose users. Smaller features like this vocal narration for the pokedex are a way of consistently adding new stuff.
4) why not include it? Everyone would like it, the pokedex talking to Ash & giving him info on the pokemon is such a huge part & iconic of the show. Pokemon go is supposed to be a realistic, real world game. So why not give people a realistic pokedex?
Do you agree this sounds like a good idea for a new feature/addition? Like this comment so Nick can see it! Then maybe he could suggest it in a video and we could see it added since Niantic definitely watches his videos
