Alexander, you don’t get it. Russia’s advance has stalled around Pokrovsk. Ukraine has had months to fortify its defenses there and beyond. With a steady supply of weapons and the ability to mobilize young men (18-25) if needed, Ukraine can hold out for years. Russia won’t achieve its goals. Putin should agree to a ceasefire now, or Ukraine will grind them down, as the advancing army always suffers greater losses than the defenders.
I was talking to my grandmother about the war when she pulled out a map of Ukraine and asked me where things were happening. I looked for Pokrovsk on the map but couldn’t find it, realizing that it wasn’t a large enough settlement to actually be on the map.

Maybe the Brits could ask Zelensky to send Ukrainian troops to Britain to defend its coastal borders considering the inability of the tiny British “Army” to manage this simple task dudes. Just saying.
The defense of the UK's coastal borders should be by the UK Navy. However, without orders, the Navy can't act, and Labour would never issue those orders. They want more illegals, not less.
😢The US, as a party to the war, cannot be an honest peace broker between Ukraine, its proxy, and Russia. Kellog is acting accordingly, reflecting the interest of the US in continuing to undermine the Russian interests.
exactly - having lost a direct war with Russia, America now wants to ignore the fact that they started and lost the war with Russia, and to start "leading" peace agreements, as though Russia has been defeated? The hubris is immeasurable and insane.
@@johnjacobsen1915very good observation.
But, since the US is losing this war, and in accelerating fashion, they have to partially act in RU's interest purely to save their own face. For thousands of years to come, Stalingrad would be a subject of debate and study and Russians are the same people who fought that uphill struggle
Stalingrad would have fallen without the Western front, so funny how this otherwise sober RT audience can't accept reality.
@@FakeMailElection
What Western front?. Gen. Paulus surrendered Stalingrad, 31January 1943.
The US came ashore in North Africa in June 43.
That’s 5 months later.
@FakeMailElection really ? How ?
The Soviets were not going to allow the city renamed after Stalin to fall into the hands of the Nazis regime. To suggest the hardest fought battle of World War 2 the Soviets Great Patriotic War with the loss of 1 million Soviet troops will tell you just how committed the Soviets were to claim victory.
The defeated German 6th army had previously marched triumphant through the Streets of Paris instead they were marched off to the saltmines in Siberia.
@ Bro wake up, just because Normandy had not occurred yet does not mean the Atlantic wall did not exist. There was a Western front BEFORE an Eastern front, aka Dunkirk etc. RT watchers project Westerners as being self centered, but I can say the same for their Russia did everything view which is ridiculous. They had the most casualties, which means they were not efficient at survival.

38:35 What I don't understand, Alexander, is why you think that the Russians would regard the US as mediators, and accept them as such, when the US are the main antagonist of this war? The Russians don't need a mediator in the US. They would like to negotiate a settlement agreement with the US, and failing that, they would like the US to be as uninvolved as possible in the rest of this conflict.
likely because the US is under a new administration that appears to be flushing out a lot of the shite from the previous and maybe long term. But who knows, for it to be serious, it needs to be a Country like US or maybe India but not China.
The US are not mediators but they are the main sponsors of both UA and NATO. UA is of course nothing without them and can't negotiate for itself without them. Hence, the US has to be directly involved.
But, ironically, the way to get peace is to have Zelenskiy (not the US) as uninvolved as possible, and then present a US-RU bilateral peace plan to new UA political parties for them to fight an election on the basis that they ratify the plan.
If the UA civil population didn't vote such a peace-seeking party into power, I would be astonished
We have to separate the people of the US and the nefarious actions of certain billionaires and alphabet agencies, who think they are acting on our behalf, but are actually rogue and off the reservation.
They don't think they are acting on anyone's behalf but their own. The People are of No CONSEQUENCE to them.
The US government does not care one bit about the people of the US and those agencies whether on the books or not are doing the governments will. Trumps administration will be no different than his first, it's not America First, it's the Powerful First and the People Last.

Pretensky's outrageous ego, arrogance, and narcissism will prevent any peace. Pretensky is morally bankrupt and unable to negotiate.
He is not legitimate
Putin has already said he wont negotiate with Zelensky because he is not the legitimate President of Ukraine
Zelensky will be eliminated by his own nationalists as soon as he agrees to negotiate.
Nobody signs a declaration banning themselves from negotiating for their own benefit - that makes about as much sense as "Russia blowing up its own pipeline."
It won't be up to Zelensky - the Rada will appoint a delegation to negotiate. Russia recognises the Rada as the sole legitimate authority in Ukraine. The Rada must ratify any peace treaty.
Zelensky chỉ là một kẻ bán nước ! Và hắn cùng đường tới mức bán cho TRUMPF cả những thứ hắn sẽ không bao giờ có ở miền đông UKRAINE . Đáng tiếc là TRUMPF đã mua . The problem is not that we are badly ruled, but that we let ourselves be ruled at all. Governed people by definition are coerced or persuaded and coercible or persuadable people are corruptible people. By contrast, ungovernable people are far less likely to be coerced if negotiations fail. There are both historic and extant examples of ungovernable people working voluntarily in community and it works just fine.
Sounds like the stone age. The way things are going we may be going back to the stone age. Aka EINSTEIN.
There are also historic examples of matriarchies that actually functioned. But not many. He who turns his swords into ploughshares is doomed to plow for those who did not. Similarly, he who abandons a functioning state is doomed to be conquered by those who did not. Because he who has a gun will be outgunned by he who comes with an army.

Trump doesn't want to leave Ukraine in the lurch. It would destroy his position in any talks with Putin. Sorry...
they were involved in regime change operations in the ME with direct blessings of the US goverment. this has cost those countries dearly.
it seems to me that the clearest example of Kellogg's lack of diplomatic skills is his decision to publicly announce a peace plan in front of NATO leaders and Zelensky. IF it is similar to the "leaked " information it will be a non-starter to Russia and Trump/Kellogg will appear humiliated, and open to severe criticism from most of those leaders who wish to see Trump fail in any case. Surely a confidential meeting with Putin first (even with summit "sherpas" paving the way...as it used to be done...remember?) would be more likely to bring progress. We still do not know if either Kellogg or Trump have even been paying attention to Russian "red lines"!
"Infantile Disorder" is a term used by Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, the First President of the Soviet Union of Russia.

100%. I posted the same thought. The Deep State control is too deep to be without regime change operations in our foreign policy.

Good day Alexander 😁
Though it appears as though USAID is being closed down on the surface, but in actuality it is merely being restructured to exist under the state department. I believe the term used was 'mission-critical' elements of the organization will be preserved. And I guess we all know what those 'elements' are.
🎯🎯,, The Dumpster just signed dozens of "deals" with corrupt cronies to get in line to replace corrupt neoliberals running usaid with corrupt NEOCONS... And let's not be naive, these neoliberal players were not giving any humanitarian or other types of benevolent aid but all bribes to as Alexander is saying,, buy the media in these Target countries and buy local politicians and business... This is the same type of stuff John Perkins was talking about in his book and documentary "confessions of an economic hitman",, except the targets of usaid are much lower in the feeding chain than the national leaders and national oligarchs that Perkins dealt with on a daily basis....
You mean the regime change elements?
of course. regime change operations will continue, likely even accelerate. only thing cut will be the long term soft power investments and red herrings - ie. the actual humanitarian things they did
its still excellent news, more of empire dropping the mask, tho cattle will need some time to fully process what is really going on
USAID is effectively CIA. Their Deep State games are popular with Soros and neocons, but Trump has no interest or need for their "help".
If the State Dept provides aid, that's fine, because that will be aligned with government priorities and goals. And we can do away with this lie that USAID supports "independent" journalism, which was a key element of the regime change and destabilization infrastructure.
100%. Why waste money on charity elements for PR. I think most of the funds will be redirected toward the poor South Americans, if the empire truly is withdrawing to it's "sphere of influence" then it is going to be vicious in the exploitation there.

I am beginning to understand now Kellogg's role: to put together a bargaining position for the west. He already has pushed it as far as he can and still reprent a western position. My understanding of Kellog's argument was that the Biden administration's mistake was to engage in a war of attrition with Russia, that past wars have shown favors them. Kellogg implied that at the outset, Biden should have supported a full-on war with all requested military aid, for a fast victory. I am bothered by Kellogg's persona: his looks, personality and the way he expresses himself, will remind Russians of the detested Anglo-Saxon - a person who does not like them and underestimates them. I agree that the entire Trump approach is simply to freeze the military war until new economic war is adopted. The new security European order the Russians are looking for would require long negotiations - possibly eating up the four years of the administration. Trump has already decided he does not have time for that.
Kellog is a military man. Hammer and nail mentality. He is not a skilled and seasoned diplomat. He is very unsuited for the role he is playing. But...America has no diplomats and does not think in a diplomatic way. This is why China has surpassed them as the richest country in the world.
Freezing the war is one of the most unlikely paths. If the US pushes this, Putin simply keeps on going.
Once you get Zelenskiy out of the way, I don't think the security order negotiations need to be particularly complicated. And, if Trump is genuinely pulling out, he won't care so much about the details, which will also make discussions easier

Brian Berletic for the win. Alexander for the LLLLLL
Despite claims that the US is dismantling its regime change complex, so far all of the US-backed opposition groups here in Thailand remain open for business.
The vast networks the US is using to supply and arm militants in next door Myanmar also continue to operate.
Some are claiming specific USAID projects have been defunded, but NED, Open Society, EU, and "Christian" "charity" money continues to flow.
These other sources have been introduced over the years specifically to deflect attention away from US interference, not because US interference actually ended.
The fact this isn't even being talked about by the administration supposedly dismantling this system is the most obvious indicator a shell game is being played under the guise of reform.
The fact that most of these groups continue to operate after many Americans have assumed they've been shut down demonstrates the purpose of this exercise.
Who would want to hear anything Zelensky has to say?
really on your strong suit today contrasting diplomacy and negotiation.
Yup
The situation in Ukraine needs to be solved, and quickly if Donald Trump is going to accomplish everything else, he wants to accomplish in a very short time. Kellogg should be sideline, and Rick Grenell should be leading that mission.
I think it's obvious to recognised that the hatred of all things Russian has attracted to Ukraine a large foreign mercenary force. Also anti Russian sentiment still prevails in the upper echelons of European political society. Russia needs to turn it's back on Europe until such times that, caught between Trump and hard times, they come crawling cap in hand back to Russia for assistance.
'All the covert operations didn't benefit the U.S.'... who said it was to benefit the U.S.
Unfortunately Kellogg thinks like it is 1941 . Russia has come along way since then . Threats and coercion will not determine this outcome.
Ukraine advanced 5 kilometers more into Russia. Putin must be really embarrassed that even with North Korea throwing 10,000 soldiers into the Kurst area as been a failure
The Orange Revolution
The Donbas population is now less than one million mostly elderly of no combat or labour value - they have nowhere to go
