OMG! My mom and I watched this every day of the summer and days I was off from school and days I was sick. This takes me back and makes me miss my mom.
Yesssssssssssssss thank you for the soap operas far back as 1984 and with the commercials as an added bonus, these remind me of my youth so many wonderful memories. So please if you can bring us some more of these wonderful memories. 😘😘😘😘
Thanks so much for sharing this with us. Episodes from the early '80s are very hard to find. The scenes with Dusty, Karen and John are just beautiful. And Lisa and Lucinda are a blast.
Omg thanks so much for this video of ATWT. This was episode was taped in Philly and it was nice to see my old TV anchors Larry Kane and Deborah Knapp from WCAU TV. Also caught GH's Lynn Herring in a Secret commercial. What a wonderful blast from my past!!❤
My Mom watched this show from the beginning(her and Dad were married in 1954) til the end!! She especially loved "Lisa and the Willows" and Lily in Almafi. Her and Dad went Almalfi and Rome in 2004 because of the show.(50th anniversary).
CBS current show that occupies ATWT's former timeslot, The Talk, has been sliding in ratings quickly and could be cancelled within the next year. Unfortunately, there isn't much of a market with classic soaps today, so it's unlikely that there will be any returning/new ones any time soon. I'd wish Pluto or some other online streaming service launched classic soap channels like they have with so many other classic shows.
OMG! THANK YOU for sharing this! I hadn't seen the "short-term" Tom Hughes since back in 1984! Jason Kincaid seemed so miscast to me then and even now--but his time in the role was such a "blip" in the history of the character! Really neat to see him again...even if he was miscast!
Larry Bryggman (John) was such a good actor. Very un-soap like. A lot of the actors on this show did a better job than actors on other soaps. Not all, but quite a lot of them seemed like "real" actors and not over-the-top campy like in some other soaps. The guy who played Hal (Benjamin Hendrickson) was also very good. This show launched quite a few careers. Meg Ryan (Betsy), Marisa Tomei (Marci), Julianne Moore (one of the Frannies), Dana Delany (Haley) to name a few. Bryggman did some parts in movies as did Margaret Colin (Margot) and this Betsy (Lindsay Frost) and Finn Carter (Sierra) was in the first Tremors. Am I forgetting anyone? Edit: Oh, yeah - Ming-Na Wen (Lien) and William Fichtner (Josh).

After midnight Saturday, I'm probably the only person on the planet watching As the World Turns. Lol
I love these classic episodes from As The World 🌍 Turns! Love revisiting Oakdale. Miss this classic soap so much.
I wish I had the World Turns come back on

He was as miscast as Glynis Connor was as Margo years later!
I think the show was aiming for comedic, whimsical quality Justin Deas brought to the role. For some reason, it didn't work out that well.
Lindsey Frost was terrific as Betsy in these scenes!
I watch this everyday

I loved Karen - a bad girl always trying to do the right thing.
Eileen Fulton looked fabulous!
Thank you so much. Do you have other episodes from this period?
That's from former CBS owned station now an NBC owned station in Philadelphia.
Wow...I remember this one...and it was my 14th bday. Geez 🙄
Hi do you have more April 1984 episodes?
Meg Ryan had come a long way,,!
I’m sorry but Lindsay Frost is a better actress and a better Betsy than Meg Ryan was. Hair and face were remarkably similar so great recast
What ever happened to Lisa step kids I know that Lisa husband was murdered by the house keeper who gave him his son
Who is Dusty Donovan mother Karen Hanes no I knew that James brother was his father
Not my favorite Tom... guy is ok BUT he is No Tom
I've never seen this show before...Any Black people in Oakdale??
😂🤣😂

Nope. Not a one.
Heather & Tucker
Jessica griffin. She came later on. She was a top-notch attorney
