Basically I held the tarp up between me and the skunk, walked up slow to it, and laid it over top. Grabbed the handle through the tarp and made sure the tarp was covering all the sides before I picked it up. When I let it loose I just moved the tarp away from the trap door and propped it with the brick. Shockingly easy!
