Can it be a different brand of dish soap?
Ahh the cow is so cute. I'm reactive to regular store milk ..... but wondering is raw milk is different. Loves goat milk
First video that came up when I asked How to do this? Lets give it a try!
Thank you for sharing all of your information. Can i steep vanilla bean in my tallow for the scent?
Yes ma'am shed City We could make pillows blankets scarves hats mittens.... Rugs...
Thanks for the info!! Didn't know!! Cool research material!! We have a clear sable, slightly darker than sunny, BUUUUT, OF THE SALUKI FRAME variety!!! Built for speed!! Our girl Charlie is faster than anything I've ever seen 😄 Did you all just hear that Sonic boom?!! That was her
Bury a water line
Would love to but our last quote was $6,000. Not quite in the budget at the moment.
YES! SUPERLATIVE FIRST RATE GUARD PUPPIES😃😄 So many varieties of this breed too! We have two different ones. AKC doesn't recognize the English Shepherd. 3:40 I'm told, advocates of the breed do not want a standard placed upon the breed, by AKC or anyone because of so many varieties of the breed. However they ARE recognized in Canada and Europe (UKC). I think I got that right 😄
5:41 for our hobbles I added an o ring to the floor and then I have a rope with a hook that I secure the hobbles to the floor to keep them from moving the feet up. It’s been working well so far.
Thanks
Thank you! Thought it was a lost cause, but tried your method. It took two rounds, but it worked!
That's fantastic! I'm so happy to hear it worked. ☺
My chicken run isn't protected from the cold wind, so heated waterers will still freeze up. The best and most insulated nippled waterer I've used is the Premier 1 product. After 3 or 4 years of having ours, the heated base is finally starting to not keep up with the cold for below-freezing consecutive days on end. I'm trying to find a solution this week, because my emergency buy of that first waterer you showed isn't cutting it. Nipples will freeze even if the water inside is still liquid.
I absolutely love Premier1 stuff. I was devastated when they stopped stocking their autocoop door. Yeah that first nipple one I think we ended up using as an open heated waterer for our goats before it died after maybe a season.
Thank you for all the information 😊
You're very welcome. :)
Anyone ever consider housing a small incubator within a quite larger highly insulated enclosure? The large enclosure would contain a water tank like a DHW water heater on standby to provide a constant flow of warm air to the small incubator during any power outages. In other words, a better blanket that would not quickly lose heat but rather keep temp of eggs constant till power is restored. Of course regulating temps in a narrow range must be designed carefully. It is basically same idea as my solar house was designed around except for the cooling feature that definitely is not needed for an incubator. Anyone please reply if interested in more details or have a comment on improvements or simplification of such an incubator.
How big of an insulated enclosure are you thinking? My only concern would be lack of oxygen and air flow.
@@RoughandTumbleFarmhouse Total exterior size of incubator is problematic ONLY when sufficient floor space is unavailable. Larger sizes may best be located outside the home, like in a barn, small shed, or perhaps an insulated or uninsulated garage, basement, etc. But otherwise, oxygen and airflow is not dependent upon unit size, as adequate fresh air ventilation is adjustable and active airflow inside is provided by fan(s) of appropriate size for distribution of heat and humidity. Perhaps I shall design and build a mini-version for using inside the living space before jumping to a larger scale. There's likely a sweet spot of viability of scale: for instance a huge version would likely not make economic sense because a small electrical generator could provide backup electrical heat with less cost and bulk. But for the hobbyist just wanting to hatch a few birds each year, a small indoor version could be constructed quite inexpensively. Any extra construction expense is therefore negligible in light of the invaluable peace of mind knowing that should power fail during numerous Spring storms or when away from home, during the night, etc the eggs would remain viable and alive until power has been restored. Length of power outage you wish to provide backup heat capability for ultimately dictates the incubator exterior size. More expensive and thinner high R-value insulation board may help to reduce exterior size and also lower the delta T heat loss and required size of water mass container(s). Also the temp differences between storage mass, room ambient, and hatching temp will ultimately determine incubator exterior size, hatching egg capacity, and number of hrs/days the unit can continue operating without falling below the hatch temp of approximately 100 deg F. The exact airflow rate of fresh air ventilation also is a design factor to consider since that is a convection heat loss that can be minimized or maximized as determined by early or later period of hatch when increased flow is needed for developing embryos and for the hatching stage.
So what I've learned is that women are the ones that do this.
Microwave???? 😩 What’s the point to use amazing ingredients if you’re putting them in the microwave??
You are welcome to heat them on a double boiler if the microwave is an issue for you.
You’re nice. Thanks for sharing.
@@TJ-sy6lh Thanks very much!
When you throw it in the washer after, do you at detergent and stuff or just throw it with just the water ?
@@FamoussSkills I wash it however I normally would. So for me it gets thrown in with the rest of the laundry and I use the same detergent as usual.
Question... I have Green sweats with oil stains, will this work on that color or would is sort of lighten them.
@@M1EightFour I have had four people comment that their clothes ended up bleached in the spot they applied the solution. Given hundreds of comments where it works great, I’d say the chances of it happening are low but not zero. I wish I knew why it does it sometimes. Just too many variables in fabric, dyes, laundry soap interactions, etc.
Thanks Kelsey. It's always fun to watch your latest video. I'll have to go back and watch the sauerkraut and mild keifer videos. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
How do you strap these down??
No need to if you are only doing 26 bales. We go 55-60 down the highway and haven't ever lost one. Granted these are usually 60# bales. If you are going to haul more than 26 or the bales are very light (like straw) I'd recommend using ratchet straps. I would get your straps into position before you start stacking the bales in, then sling it over the top.
Thank you so much for sharing and teaching, I learned so much.
You are very welcome! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a kind comment. They always make my day. :)
Doesn't work.
Sorry you had bad luck with it! Some folks in the comments have had success with really stubborn stains doing it 2-3 times. I haven’t tried it myself but a few commenters have also said adding a few sprays of hydrogen peroxide on top works wonders. Lastly, this works for grease/oil stains but isn’t for general food or dirt stains. Hope one of those things will work for you! 😊
15 min or 50 min?
15
Great video.
Thank you so much!
THANK YOU! You are the first person I have seen who warned that this is only for non-perishable dry-canning.
I’m a bit of a canning safety crank so I definitely wanted to include it! 😆
@@RoughandTumbleFarmhouse As are we. Home canning is a great resource, but folks need to know what they are doing, to be safe. But it is not magic. Homestead-on!!!
Doesn't get Crisco out of black sheets....just saying.
I unsuccessfully tried commercial brands that claim to remove oil stains on a winter jacket, but those solutions did not work. Then I found this video and decided to try it, and the results were excellent! The oil stain is gone! Thanks for sharing this solution.
That’s so great to hear! I’m happy it worked well for you. 😊
Pregnant people? Oh hell no, pregnant women!!!!!!!
Hi! Your yogurt looks so thick and yummy, and you make it look so easy! I gave it a try. I messed up and the milk temp got to 154. I brought it down to 110 and did all you said. 9 hours later it was as liquidy as when I put it in oven. 2 Questions 1. Why didn't it work?? And 2. Is it fine just to drink the botched batch??
For 3 days I have been watching how to make tallow balm, and your video makes more sense than all the other videos. Thank you for caring enough to give us a healthy recipe. God bless you!
That's so kind of you to say, thank you very much. :)
You heat your milk to 100 F, youre pasteurizing it anyways
No I'm sorry that isn't correct. Pasteurization occurs at 145 Degrees F if kept at that temperature for 30 minutes without the temperature dipping at all. You can also pasteurize at 162 F for 15 seconds. You can also pasteurize for a shorter amount of time at an even higher temperature. Hope that helps!
@@RoughandTumbleFarmhouse Ya you're right. My mistake. I used this video to give it a go. Fingers crossed!
Give 'em the old hair toss! Lol
I should have done!
This looks delicious.
It is! Thanks so much. :)
This seems like a very common sense solution. I will try it.
Hope it works well for you!
Love it
Great could have been said in about 10 seconds thank you
I like to be thorough in my explanations and give credit where credit is due. You might find videos more to your liking in RUclips Shorts or Instagram Reels or TikTok as opposed to channels like mine.
You should also put a blob on the backside of the stain on the material .. let sit 24 hours....
Good tip! I have had some folks comment that Dawn left on for too long can cause bleaching, not something I’ve had happen but worth being cautious about I figure.
Ty!
Very welcome!
If you just want the instructions and no background, hop ahead to 6:40. Sorry, forgot to note that in the video. :)
Does this work on other stains besides oil? I honestly don’t know what my stain is. May be oil, just a tshirt I really like. It’s almost like it faded the fabric, but it’s not anything bleach.
From what other commenters have recommended, hydrogen peroxide sprayed on top of this mixture will apparently get out just about anything. Might be worth a shot!
I hope it works with an off brand dish soap 🫣
I bet it will! It has for a lot of people.
Question: do you wash off the paste before throwing the item in the wash? Or just leave it on there?
@@nt3833 leave it on and toss it in. 😊
Saved my Couple Hundred dollars Windbreaker.... i was bummed out on Christmas eve until i youtube it and you popped up n bam today it looks good as new.
Yes! I'm so glad to hear it. :D Merry Christmas!
@RoughandTumbleFarmhouse thanks alot and a happy new yr to you
She's beautiful, I've been brought up with the jersey cows, and I love them 😊❤
Thank you for posting this!
You are very welcome! I hope it works well for you. :)
Will this work on diesel/moter oil?
I think so! My father in law is a farmer who gets all sorts of gunk and grease on his clothes from combines and tractors so I’d try it.
@RoughandTumbleFarmhouse thank you!!
when you wash it do you wash it in the washer or wash it in the sink?
Right in the washer with other clothes. Same temp and cycle type as usual.
Cast iron is still king. As for greasing it, as you continue to use it, that gets easier Also, if you REALLY love your cast iron, as in it’s something you want to pass on to kids, you can do some work on it. You can strip off the pre-seasoning and take it down to bare metal, then season it yourself. It’ll be glass smooth and incredible! You can fry an egg in it and the egg will just glide on the surface. But I won’t lie, that’s a lot of work and you have to really love your cast iron to do all that. As you may have guessed… I am one such person. I have heritage cast iron that gets passed down.
Baking soda or baking powder? In India baking powder and baking soda are two different things ( actually they are two different things chemically) and are never used interchangeably in cooking. So, here baking soda was used? Oh, BTW, we also have a washing soda that's used only in washing clothes.
Hi there! Yes we also have those three different things in the states. This recipe calls for baking SODA. Hope this helps! 😊
