- This was the 87th Running of the CAROLINA CUP. The Carolina Cup is an annual steeplechase horse race that is held at the Springdale Racecourse. It takes place in Camden - the oldest inland city in South Carolina, which is considered the Steeplechase Capital of the World. And attracts tens of thousands of people each year to this racing event.
It was a great day to hit the races! If you are looking for a super fun event to hit in the Springtime, then this is a great place to get out and have a good time. It features music, food, Spring-time dresses, lots of hats, and of course- Horse racing.

I live just 15 miles from here. Local people hate the traffic and all the people. Never been to the Cup but have to deal with it every year. To us it is a pure mess.
There is a lot of people - That's the truth. I don't see how they coordinate a large event like that each year. It's one of the largest around. Thanks for watching.
