IMP NOTE : In tuf every ddr5 ram comes with 5600mhz only but u should know that ddr5 ram has an turbo boost frequency which mean when the ram will be on heavy load it will automatically push to 5600mhz just like a processor do but it will not show in ur desktop that it is 5600mhz ram but it will show the base frequency. Thnx if u found this helpful. 🙏🏻
That's utterly false. My 2023 A15 came with DDR5 4800, as it was advertised as such. RAM doesn't have a "turbo" clock speed that it goes to when certain demands/criteria are met. It runs at a constant speed. RAM can have different JEDEC profiles (or XMP/EXPO profiles), but it doesn't switch between them on the fly. For OEM computers, most of the time the XMP/EXPO profiles aren't going to be supported in the BIOS. The Asus A15 is no different. It only supports JEDEC profiles, and the motherboard automatically runs the RAM at the highest speed the RAM and the motherboard supports. Which in this case is 5600 M/T. I upgraded the RAM in my A15 to 32GB and it does run at 5600 M/T as the RAM that I got was supposed to.
@@FoDaddy question, i have asus tuf a15 (2023) too, do you think its okay if i upgrade with 5800mhz ram? Which is my laptop having the 4800mhz, some people said that the laptop will not read to ram if its not the same number of Mhz, its still be my concern till now, coz its so annoying knowing that I could’ve just upgraded but my dilemma was telling me to hold. Whats your thoughts?
@@bagaskuncoro8053 IIRC, 5600 is the limit for the motherboard/CPU combo. EXPO is not supported. So if the particular RAM you're using requires EXPO to hit 5600 Mhz, then you won't see that speed, instead will top out with whatever highest JEDEC profile both the RAM and the motherboard both support.
Thanks for the video! I've a FX517ZM, want to upgrade to 64 gb at 5600, do you think the machine will support them? I'm confused about the 4800 limit, how can I check before buying?
I checked the specs and it doesn't mention the top limit speed. From my experience, faster RAM will work but you might not be able to get the top speed. I advise you to get them from a place where you can exchange them in case they cause problems.
Excellent video. I was search whether it was possible to bump up the speed of the memory, and this answers that. The memory speed bump makes a massive difference for the iGPU as well, sometimes 20% more performance depending on the game. Strange that ASUS would use slower memory.
i have HP victus 16-e1062AX model my laptop specs is 8gb ram 4800mhz, as per papers i can upgrade upto 32gb , but i have run the crucial scanner and its result suggesting me 64gb ram of 5600mhz. is it possible that my laptop can run on resulted info, or may be crucial scanner gives me misinformation.
So all tuff laptops the ram goes in like that? Were ones flipped the opposite way? Also when I put my ssd in is there anything I need to do in bios or anything? Like formatting
Since TUF laptops have come with many different CPUs from both brands for many years, the chance every ram goes in the same way is zero. But its foolproof, just install it. Only way you can do wrong is to force it in when it clearly doesn't fit properly And for SSDs I have never done anything in BIOS. The only reason would be if I want to change which drive to boot from, that is done from BIOS, everything else you can do in Windows, like formatting
Installed also the 5600 mhz but i see just my old frequency from 4800 mhz... The ram from 32 gb is avaible and correct. But the Frequenz is not correct... What should i do? Can anyone help?

Not necessarily but the top ram speed will be adjusted to the lowest ram speed

64GB possible if yes which speed?
Yes, 5600 MHz, these are good: amzn.to/3Sm3sGf
