Excellent video. I was search whether it was possible to bump up the speed of the memory, and this answers that.
The memory speed bump makes a massive difference for the iGPU as well, sometimes 20% more performance depending on the game. Strange that ASUS would use slower memory.

Thanks for the video! I've a FX517ZM, want to upgrade to 64 gb at 5600, do you think the machine will support them? I'm confused about the 4800 limit, how can I check before buying?

I checked the specs and it doesn't mention the top limit speed. From my experience, faster RAM will work but you might not be able to get the top speed. I advise you to get them from a place where you can exchange them in case they cause problems.

hi, i have a 2022 tuf a15, fa507nv. also had 1x16gb ddr5 4800mhz ram. however i tried to upgrade to crucial 2x16gb ddr5 5600mhz, my laptop did not even display the asus logo when booting up, only the status and charger LED was on. is this compatability issue or do i just have faulty ram?

Thanks. I will upgrade my 8 GB Asus laptop to 16 GB by bringing it to Best Buy. I worry that i would screw up and void the warranty.

If you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself, letting a pro do it is the way to go. Just make sure that they warranty their work

Same thing here, upgraded an Asus Tuff A15 to two 16 GB Vengence DDR5 MAde the laptop much better. Best buy will give you a new computer greater or equal value if they mess up your laptop

Can i upgrade the asus tuf a15 to 40 gb (8 x 32) ?because the asus says 32 is maxm but in google some say it supports 32 per slot means 64 gb

When they say 32, it means that’s what they tested and certified. You can surely try 64. Just get them from somewhere where you can return them in case they don’t work.

I just changed my ram I did everything correctly but it shows the right memory but the speed is still at 4800 mhz not at 5600 any tips?

I think you should stick to the limit and if 4800 MHz is recommended, I don't think a 5600 MHz has any added value.
