for stalkers alpha farming is easy cuz if you go into the dump in the middle theres a safezone to refresh your devices

I always go for big radius scan and it's a good idea to craft 2nd sak-1

Bringing two sak-1 is always a good idea! The small range works 50% of the time.

There is no need to risk loosing charge and time considering you are in a race against other people for the same signals

Do you have to turn the short mode on and off and then the middle on and off, or can you just do the middle to get it guaranteed?

You can use just the middle one to guarantee it if that little light is flashing on it
