I wonder if it would look cleaner if the chord voicings were between the tab and the note ledger lines since the top tab line is fixed on the y axis.

Yeah that would fix the grids not being always aligned but I don't think I can do that in the software I'm using and I like having the notes and tab side by side because I usually check both when I'm reading. But thanks for the idea! Really appreciate you took the time to suggest that. Cheers!
