Speaking from experience.; I moved to the Netherlands and my kids couldn’t speak even one Dutch word. Now my school going child (5years) speaks Dutch like a native. But he begun to forget Swahili. Now we had to switch back to Swahili at home and they’re catching up again. I admire that kina Jimmy wanajua kiswahili. Shikilieni hapo. Kizungu si shida, Swahili Ndo rahisi kusahau. Kids learn from their environment. And now that they are in the US you and Baba Jimmy are the only people who can keep their swahili intact. Let people not convince you watoto wasahau Kiswahili. The English these kids are speaking they definitely didn't learn overnight!!!!! Definitely their dad has been speaking to them, i have a bilingual daughter whose 7yrs and the earlier you teach them the easiest they pick the language, @subscribers, sometimes learn to be sensitive and keep some of your thoughts to yourselves.
Mama Jimmy has quickly picked up more English vocabulary and her accent is transitioning into the American accent . Mama Jimmy you are smart and have wisdom in biblical study , God bless you 🙏🏾🤍
