- Many were shocked to see Lauren still alive, but there is one piece of the puzzle we didn't think of. This made it possible for Lauren to survive. Having a tracker on a witness who can be killed for wearing a wire is the best option to keep track on him or her in survival mode. Effie's biggest mistake was to think she can easily do away with Lauren. Little did she know that she will become the same person she thought Lauren is. (a snitch). Effie has made a deadly deal and this video will break down how Lauren survived and ended up in Jenny's house.

It is a nice theory especially since she truly started falling for Tariq. I think that the CI she was talking about was Saxe though, she just can't tell Blanca that because they have history and he would lose his license. If Effie is the CI, Tariq will definitely drop her. There was also a clip of Tariq telling someone "I love you, but I'll put a bullet in you" wonder who he was talking to.

Now Classifying Saxe as a CI in this case to me is 2 over 10. because Saxe getting information for Jenny is not promised since he is told what he needs to hear. The only difference between Saxe and Jenny is that, Saxe is from the side Jenny is probing. They are both hustling for information... what Jenny told Blanka sounds more definite. " I have a CI embedded with them" to have that confidence on your CI means the person is right among them who can give you an information that is facts. any information from saxe to her is not a guaranteed fact... she doesn't even trust saxe and she is not sure if saxe is playing her either so how can she be sure on him as her CI? if you consider Angela and her CI Umar, he was within Luiz organization while feeding Angela information. Having a CI again means you are on hight alert to save your CI incase his or her cover is blown or compromise. I don't think Saxe himself is aware he is a CI to even call for cover if he has been compromised.... hope this make sense

Wow, Nino! This was a great video breakdown! I agree with all your points! First, I do think Diana is the blame for Zeke's death. However, ultimately, we can point fingers at Monet. She should've never had the notion to drag Zeke along as her "nephew" and use his potential basketball career as a way out of the game. Monet really put him in harms way and even blamed herself, too. Diana is the so-called black sheep right now because she's doing everything to get Lorenzo's attention no matter who it hurts in the family. She figures by doing these things, she finally has a "voice" in the family. This won't last though.
As for Effie, I think she is the CI as well. I do think she was an informant before all this going back to Choate. She snitched on Tariq and then pops up at a prestigious college? Where did she get her drugs from? Who was her connect then? I think her connection to this goes back to OG Power. Could even be someone's child from the latter years of Raising Kanan (seasons we haven't seen yet). My guess is the Italians or someone Ghost was connected to. She seems pressed to be with Tariq, had him open up so easily about his inner thoughts and feelings. She always does this. I always go back to when she referred to both of them as "monsters".

Lauren being alive is a big game changer because once Cane find out that Lauren is still alive, Cane will feel a certain type of way to Brayden because lied to Cane about killing Lauren. I believe Effie is a mole because she has been acting very weird towards Tariq.

I agree that Efie is the CI. She had no choice and Efie not the lover girl type. She is more of the 'where the money is type'. So for her to spend her entire summer with Tariq who due to circumstances probably wasn't able to sell drugs... Thats a big deal.

Probably the reason why we see her in the season 3 trailer side dealing with Cane. Just to get information out of him to report on him as well. I don't believe they will have a side relationship as most fans think. Law Enforcement has been interested in Cane ever since his rap sheet popped up as well in s2. She's playing Cane bc of being a CI.

Effie wasn't a CI to jenny for so long. she becoming a CI started after episode 9 of season 2. we just entered season 3 episode one, so how much information can Effie get to give? Mecca was a CI, when his cover was compromised, he called Blanka for backup only that it was a bit late.... Effie is not in danger yet to call for backup from Jenny. Saxe is an attorney on the other side defending the criminals together with Davis, he can assume being a CI without losing his Law licence. he is giving information he hardly know to Jenny for sex. thats motive from saxe. Exchange of information for Sex can't be legit all the time unless Jenny has something bigger against saxe to make him give her legit information all the time.

Effie probably got caught in the act of going to kill Lauren after she drove off in season 2. Lauren's in witness protection being tracked and the feds intervied in the attempt murder and falsed Effie into a situation to be a snitch that's why she's acting guilty.

Yesssssss finally someone who has the most logical theory. Jennie was really worried for Lauren at the end of S2 when Sax confirmed Tariq may have heard her wire recording. I strongly believe Jennie gave Lauren some type of burner or tracker to signal if she ever was in danger. What if when Braden had her get out of the car she panicked and sent the signal. To her surprise, he was actually giving her money and letting her escape. Until effie shows up and actually takes her. She stages the accident and leaves the scene but I believe Jennie and other officers got her out of there before she actually died. Which is why she tells her in Ep1 that EVERYONE thinks you’re dead and we need to keep it that way. It would also explain why in the trailers effie is on the run. I believe she thinks she did the job and that’s why she is acting weird and guilty about Tariq.

Also note the "be my own woman" line all of a sudden after Tariq and Effie were both kicking it all summer. Yet, she had no problem trotting along to see the new product from Noma. I do think she's going to get murked this season. She will end up like Holly and Angela.
I am concerned with how quickly Monet told both Dru and Cain to go live in the penthouse. I understand she's in mourning but that was a rash decision. Or was it? What was her motive for sending them to live there without an afterthought? She should know after killing Mecca that the house could be bugged. I don't trust that. I also think there is some huge backstory to the new professor who knows Tate. It will be deeper than Carrie and Jabari's backgrounds.
Lauren is in Jenny's house but who authorized this? We've never seen Jenny's boss like we did with Angela in OG Power. This is very dangerous in real life and on TV lol but I could be wrong. I think Jenny is acting on her own accord by putting Lauren in protection and is using Saxe. Saxe is no dummy now and I do think he will survive this season but get injured. I think somehow he will part ways from Davis and get a clue about Tommy in Chicago. If this plays out that way, Saxe is better off staying in NYC lol! We all know Tommy LOL!
One more thing, Tariq messed up by asking for water from Bash. His prints are on that glass. I am sure when they cleaned up his body, they did not remove those dishes. He claims he's smarter and better than Ghost? No, he is not.

How has saxe moved from defending his client to becoming a CI against them? that's very unethical. he can lose his Law licence. Client confidentiality and privilege is at stake here.... Saxe Can't be a CI against Tariq when his firm with Davis are the ones defending him in court...... Saxe can only be her CI if he no longer works with Davis.
