I can tell your a very good trainer and take pride in your skills and creativity. Well done. When I get back to Houston I will make subwoofer box for Passat
Big fan my name is Mohammed Fazil and I have learnt lots of think from u that's helps me in my work thanks a lot for that tremendous knowledge and I am a car audio fitter
This layered building is pretty cool. I'm only used to fiberglass in these situations, but I can see how the strength of this box would most likely outweigh the strength of building this from fiberglass.
Best router for a router table is a Triton, crazy powerful and has the above table adjustment built right into the base as well. They go on sale a lot too!
I am deeply impressed with your quality of the videos and works! I still remember the Kerf guide which was one of the first videos I watched from you, thank god I watched it and kept following your videos :) Im looking forward to actually use many of your guides in the future builds! :D
You do very nice work, and put the proper amount of though into the details. Looks to be on the same level as some of the guys I've seen, who build advanced horn loaded prototype enclosures in the pro audio industry. Funktion One which is a pro speaker manufacture I've spent a lot of time with, uses a lot of advanced horn loading designs and they prototype everything in-house to a very high standard. I'll be honest and say that your work looks to be on that level. I'm impressed.
certainly a lot off work and Planning , But looking Good , Thanks for your Cool Vid .. I've wrapped Speaker boxes in resin and black speaker cloth to make nice and simple custom speaker cabinets ..
i'm from Indonesia,. it's awsome box.... I'm not seen like this in my country. in my dream I can have that box with in my toyota etios valco. hahahaha....LOL
Hey CAF - could you do a build series or a video on how to build other speakerboxes than just for cars? i meant like 2-3 Videos on how to fabricate a home soundsystem with sub and tower or something like that.. Im very interestet in your kind of speakerbuilding, but i dont have a car and i would be interested how you cover solving a standard, bookshelf or desktop speakersystem, or maybe also somthing bigger for a garden party/chillout.. i would approve it very much :) if you cover this topic sometime in the future
I like it. Any chance you can do a video of an impedance measurement so we can see how that relates to how you tuned it. You know, so you can double check your work. I did my first and real life turned out lower than I was aiming for.
Do you make any for 09 Toyota 4Runner SR5 and if so how much. I want it to look stock because I love using the back and don’t want it to take up room but sound amazing
Are you planning on using the the neos? 😁. I'm wanting to build a downfire box but, I also want to do a slot port. Is there a reason that the slot seems to start behind the sub? My version is going under the back seat of a Old body style GMC Dually and the slot will start on the side of the sub since I don't have the vertical space to put one in.
I'm starting a project and I'm not sure to build it whit fiberglass or all MDF.im trying to build it under the back seat of a Cadillac DeVille 94. Not in the trunk.not to go crazy whit it but to keep my trunk clear.any tips???
CarAudioFabrication - Thanks for all your guides, I've watched pretty much all of them. Can you please tell me where you got the subwoofer grille from??
My speakers just blew out in my Jeep Wrangler jk. I want to put subs and new speakers. My plan was to put 2 12inch subs on the tailgate but Im worried about raddiling. I dont want the subs to take up much room so thats why I thought of that. Any suggestions and could you suggest new speaker brands. BTW just subscribed Great channel!
hey Mark, any advantage or disadvantages between that spiral up cut bit with 2 bearings you used vs the spiral bit with the quad bearings from mobile solutions? thanks!
+B Plail the quad bearing allows you to copy a stack of different templates stuck to each other. Also works great for copying stock speaker adapters where the shape may change with height.
How do you make a custom 2 12 box with leds inside a 05 dodge neon with the specs for subs; ported box--> 26w"×15h"×12d" (2.0 cft) Sealed --> 18w"×15h"×10d" (1.1 cft) and which box would be better? I was thinking Plexiglas to cover leds but what are your thoughts?
Your ported box dimensions would only allow for about 1.45 cubic ft of airspace after displacements, this is not enough for two 12's it would be tight for 1. You can purchase a box design blueprint on my site so you know that what you are building is correct: www.caraudiofabrication.com/box-designs
Hey Mark, so I need help with a project. I'm building a two tier cake. Can you help me getting the layers right? btw love your kitchen cabinets where did you get them?
Eleazar Minier first you need to build a time machine, go into the future and copy the future link to the future video that doesn't exist yet. Come back and send Mark a copy of the link. While you're at it you could tell him about the mistakes he made on that future video so he can change the future. Hopefully that won't break the space time continuum.
+Seth Ranney when I do the step in the trim ring with the large rabbeting bit it removes some of the material thickness, I could copy to a new piece of I wanted a full thickness but I like the way the inside piece adds another layer of dimension.
Guys hi! watching you for a long time from Russia!) English is not very see through time as hearing, that does not understand the word) if you can tell which materials use in your work?
Dude, are you kidding? It might add a pound at most and no one would care, if anyone cared about weight they wouldn't be adding a subwoofer at all, did you consider that? Annoying when people have to be critical just for the sake of being critical without even thinking what they are saying...
these videos are too much about routing! either do videos about speakers or routers! not how you route speakers! all your desings are based on what you can do with your router and it gets boring real fast!
Lol. Kind of thought the same thing. Fosgate is not what they used to be back in the 80's and 90's. As with Fosgate, it's a shame to see iconic companies like Hifonics, Phonenix Gold, Boston Acoustics, Audison and Soundstream being reduced to mere shadows of their former self.
I'm not a speaker builder but I love watching you make these boxes and use the router. Looking good. Can't wait to see the final box.
Can't wait to see this thing wrapped and accented.
That turned out swell!!! 👍
SoundmanCA best comment ever hahaa
Hahahahahahahahaha....got em'
SoundmanCA ROASTED! LOL
Doug, i just got off Rafa's mom, tag your turn.🤜👉👌🏻
Mark, are you going to accept the harness challenge from Doug?
You're a Master Craftsman!

The box is looking superb! On a side note it looks like that dust collection system is working very well!!
That box is looking great!! Very impressed with all your videos. Keep up the good work.
Beautiful job!
Really digging your recent change in video style. The production value seems insane for one person. Keep up the awesome work! Really inspiring!
love your eye to detail
This layered building is pretty cool. I'm only used to fiberglass in these situations, but I can see how the strength of this box would most likely outweigh the strength of building this from fiberglass.
You'r really good at what ur doing man!! Nice work
Excellent job with this video and the box. I really enjoyed this style of editing.
Best router for a router table is a Triton, crazy powerful and has the above table adjustment built right into the base as well. They go on sale a lot too!
Great work Mark!
Gonna follow this build, awesome work, nice materials used, great tools and looks fun. Gives me to many ideas for my T2 Westfalia interior build .
I am deeply impressed with your quality of the videos and works! I still remember the Kerf guide which was one of the first videos I watched from you, thank god I watched it and kept following your videos :)

Looking good!
siempre buenos video de car audio gracias
genius! awesome work.
Mad skills!!

great work ... waiting for next video
Thanks for the videos.
Another great video! Thank you!

pretty nice project bro
outstanding!
Nice job 👍👍👍 ✌️
this was creative asf
You can attach the beauty panel by using Neodymium magnets that are recessed and epoxied into both the sub box and the beauty panel.
You make really good looking stuff, but why a false port instead of a functional one on the front?
@ 7:58, I almost wonder if it'd be possible to fill that area with LED Rope Lights... 🤔 Could look pretty cool...
Very nice work. But that bench seems to have the wife's stereo... Lol
I know, I need an upgrade. :/
Amazingly talented dude.
incredible workmanship !!! i could just imagine how much you charge to build a custom box like that. Very time consuming
i'm from Indonesia,.
it's awsome box.... I'm not seen like this in my country. in my dream I can have that box with in my toyota etios valco. hahahaha....LOL

what angle what that chamfer bit you used Great work by the way. Sebastian
Awesome design and a great idea. Does this box design fit on both sides of the Jeep?
I like it. Any chance you can do a video of an impedance measurement so we can see how that relates to how you tuned it. You know, so you can double check your work. I did my first and real life turned out lower than I was aiming for.
What's the difference between a spiral flush bit and a standard flush bit?
What kind of 8" sub would you recommend for the stock encloser in the back of a JK ?
Where is the next video, I want to see that bad boy, wrapped and installed?
What type of screws w/ anchors did you use to mount the subs
Awesome going to do this myself, could you number your videos? like part 1, part 2 and so on? Would help follow your process better. Thanks!
What router bits do I need
Which area did you put the connection wire goes out
Do you make any for 09 Toyota 4Runner SR5 and if so how much. I want it to look stock because I love using the back and don’t want it to take up room but sound amazing
What do you do with the used mdf? Are you able to recycle it yourself?
What type of template tape do you use? I find the tape I use doesn’t stick good at all
What is the thickness of the MDF board?
Are you planning on using the the neos? 😁. I'm wanting to build a downfire box but, I also want to do a slot port. Is there a reason that the slot seems to start behind the sub? no custom grill?
CarAudioFabrication - Thanks for all your guides, I've watched pretty much all of them. Can you please tell me where you got the subwoofer grille from??

How heavy is the box? It looks pretty heavy. How do you measure the cubic feet in the box?
do you know how to make a maze system box for home listening?
Hahaha
what is a good cheap subwoofer are skar audio xxv 15v3 good
where is the next vid in the project?
Will you offer the plans for this box?
No, there is no way to tell you how exactly to cut all the curvature of the box.
Where are you located .....please
What size subwoofer is that? 10 inch or 8 or 7?
I wish I could have you do a build on my 2023 Ford Bronco 2dr Badlands.
Did u remember to make a gap for the vinyl around the baffle hole so it's not squashing the sub grill??
Am considering to put two 12inch subwoofer in a gen4 subaru legacy is the crunch gpa 2000 watts amplifier a good brand?
Great vid, sweet looking enclosure! How much does the enclosure (sans driver) weigh? Thanks in advance, love all your quality vids!
Not sure, its not super heavy. Thanks for watching
Love the builds. But i feel like its taking a bit to long to get done
show us the finished item please

thanks!
+B Plail the quad bearing allows you to copy a stack of different templates stuck to each other. Also works great for copying stock speaker adapters where the shape may change with height.
CarAudioFabrication makes sense! thanks heaps!
How do you make a custom 2 12 box with leds inside a 05 dodge neon with the specs for subs; ported box--> 26w"×15h"×12d" (2.0 cft)
Sealed --> 18w"×15h"×10d" (1.1 cft)

you mention in the video that you use a lot of wood but you don't say how much exactly. How many sheets do you think went into this build?
Hey Mark, so I need help with a project. I'm building a two tier cake. Can you help me getting the layers right? btw love your kitchen cabinets where did you get them?
Maybe it would have been nice to add the link to the next video on this fabrication series... just saying.
Eleazar Minier first you need to build a time machine, go into the future and copy the future link to the future video that doesn't exist yet. Come back and send Mark a copy of the link. While you're at it you could tell him about the mistakes he made on that future video so he can change the future. Hopefully that won't break the space time continuum.
what about the pry tool you are using. I cannot find that.
MegaCleanCab www.mobilesolutions-usa.com/store/c109/Specialty_Installation_Tools.html "pry tool"
Jesse Gilliland thanks ordered one
Why is the insert taller than the trim ring? I seem to have missed that.
+Seth Ranney when I do the step in the trim ring with the large rabbeting bit it removes some of the material thickness, I could copy to a new piece of I wanted a full thickness but I like the way the inside piece adds another layer of dimension.
I'm all the way out in Fresno, Ca. Any chance you sell and ship enclosures? I have a 17JKU and need two of these bad boys
What car is this particular box for?
+G. Warren Jeep, check out the full playlist on my channel
Guys hi! watching you for a long time from Russia!) English is not very see through time as hearing, that does not understand the word) if you can tell which materials use in your work?
Денис Жуков medium density fiberboard (MDF)
You often use adjustable curve tools, do you know another place where i can buy them? Your supplier does not ship to Sweden Unfortunately :(
+Daniel Berg email them, they will ship there you just can't buy directly from the website
Looks awesome! But damn thats a lot of work and material for a sub box. What would you charge for that? And is there room for profit?
curious to see how you'll finish the materials edge around the port when you wrap it
you are look like mark zukarbarg
красивая коробка с динамиком которая играть будет 40-100 герц, а басс то от 20 герц
Wow now I know why these are not Cheap. lol
That box is nice but all that extra trim adds weight
Dude, are you kidding? It might add a pound at most and no one would care, if anyone cared about weight they wouldn't be adding a subwoofer at all, did you consider that? Annoying when people have to be critical just for the sake of being critical without even thinking what they are saying...
hur durr first
My god!!!! He's done it!
now I can cross that off my bucket list
First! :D
How much would it cost for you to build me a custom box for my 2001 sport trac
these videos are too much about routing! either do videos about speakers or routers! not how you route speakers! all your desings are based on what you can do with your router and it gets boring real fast!
prob weights a ton
Looks like a huge waste of mdf with that method.
all that work and you put a fosgate sub in it? really
I'm guessing Rockford Fosgate sponsored the video...
