There are a number of faults which can trigger error code EE6 with the Toyostove Laser 73, but it basically means the burner is starved for fuel. This video is a brief explanation of how one might go about cleaning the internal fuel strainer. In my experience (substantial,) this is the most common cause of error code EE6. When the stove's internal metering valve is starved for fuel, it is common to hear the valve make a rapid thumping sound, which some refer to as a gurgling sound. Check first, that you are not simply out of fuel. Also check that you are not trying to burn water or are not using the recommended fuel. Your external tank should be elevated slightly on the outlet end of the tank so you're not getting water or sludge from the tank. If your tank has not been cleaned for a while, you might want to elevate the outlet end a little more until you can get the tank cleaned properly. The fuel outlet on the tank should be at least 16 inches above the elevation of the bottom of the stove.tthe stove does not have a fuel pump. it relies on gravity feed and an internal metering valve. You should have a good clean fuel filter right at the tank outlet. If your in a real cold climate, you may want your external tank and supply line in a heated area as the fuel will jell and starve the burner. At the very least, the fuel line should be insulated. I've even known people to run a thaw wire next to the line, though I would never recommend that publicly. Once again, the legal disclaimer; this video is for informational purposes only. ALWAYS FOLLOW THE MANUFACTURERS INSTRUTIONS! Always check for and repair any fuel leaks before attempting to operate the stove. Make sure the stove exhaust is properly vented. Make sure all installation procedures are in compliance with your local codes. Never believe anything you see, hear, taste, feel or smell, never try this at home, don't do stupid stuff and you never heard anything from me. Jus say'n. - Хобби
on my OM22/LASER30-does the cabinet need to be dissassembled to access the Flamerod for cleaning ?
My OM 22 has 41:11 on the screen and does not start at all. Can anyone tell me what's going on. Thanx
MY OM22 CYCLES THRU WARM-UP , THEN AS THE CIRCULATION FAN STARTS AND RUNS FOR 2 SECS , IT STOPS AND STARTS COOL- DOWN CYCLE THEN TURNS OFF .
WHAT IS ITS PROBLEM AND REMEDY ?
THANX TOMT.
I’ve got the same toyo 73 and it won’t start ??
I have a problem with sooting up
thank you very much mr. Madsci you just help me fix my furnace...:)
For me, its usually outside in my fuel filter and i need to change it.
Will the wiring harness off the laser 56 lamp circle board work on the laser 73 thanks
I opened it up but I don't see a filter. What does the filter look like?
It's sort of rectangular in shape about 1-1/2' long. Has a very fine mesh on 3 sides. The open side would face toward the back of the stove. The side toward the front has a metal tab that acts as a spring to hold it in place. The ends are rounded and it has little tab sticking out to grab. If you don't see one after removing the cover, it's likely someone previously left it out. That would be a shame, as they help keep a lot of contaminants out of the fuel metering pump.
I have one that sat idle for a year and repairman says it is frozen and needs a new motor to the tune of $400+. Can it be taken out and repaired?
OK I finally got around to checking, squirrel cage turns easily but when ou plug it in and turn it on nothing happens. Neither fan nor squirrel cage starts turning
Peter Wood There is another wheel under that one on top of the blower motor. They can fail but usually massive carbon build up is the culprit. It you pull off the black tubing that goes into the BM you might see if it turns with assistance like the top does.
What happened with your toyo?
This video is underrated Hc he won’t actually do it cause I’m kinda confused
if you get EE6 and your flame is orange and sputtering you have water in your filter and line.
So true. Water does not burn well. And a mixture of oil and water to the burner will result in insufficient combustion and not satisfy the flame sensor circuit resulting in lockout code EE6. However, the internal pump screen mesh is so small it acts as a water separator. To some it may sound backwards because the oil molecules are much larger than water molecules but because water molecules are smaller they bind closer together (denser.) If the original pump screen is intact and the fuel delivery pressure is correct (just gravity fed), the internal filter should get plugged with water before oil is allowed into the burner. If the internal screen has been removed and there is water in the fuel it will result in poor or inadequate combustion. It will also necessitate disassembling and cleaning the pump as there are low spots inside the pump that will retain some water which may sporadically be fed to the burner.
