Was with DCFD from 85-96 . Miss the stars and bars on those rigs. Brings back many so many memories for me. From the time I was assigned to Amb. 14 at Engine 16 Truck 3 , to when I was assigned to Amb.19 at Engine 4 . My last assignment was at Amb.8 at Engine . Worked beside some of the Best Firefighter is the area. I will say I miss those day.

Why did you leave after 11 years? I'm just curious. It would be an interesting place to work for sure.

Funny how the lights off RS3 reflected off our windshield and back onto the back of the squad and also E33 and E25 and E24, lol

The good old days, remember when they ran double piece engine companies, wagon and pumper, riding the back step? Wow it was a lot of fun!

There's a fire department that's not to far from where I live that still has at least one Truck from the 90s may be 2 or 3.

This is some great footage! I love it when someone posts older tapes from the 90s, and I've even seen a few from as far back as 88. Different world then for fire and rescue, alot to learn from the guys who ran in it.

I remember these apparatus as I was growing up and the Ford engines I remember talking to a DC firefighter and you tell me how the door used to come open and how far fire is fell out of these Ford engines. Rescue squad 3 , 2 , 1 and 1# used to be them old Ford trucks really nice rescue squads really nice. Tower eight used to be Truck eight station at engine 25 on Martin Luther King Ave.
