Please make more M8 videos this was absolutely SICK
Thanks! I will definitely do some more
Once you have chopped the single break up into slices you can even hover over the sample select in the instrument tab and hold edit and use the left and right keys to preview other possible samples which makes it even easier to audition.
Im for More Content 100% !!! Jungle on the M8 is endless and its real dirty sometimes!
This thing is great for Vampire music! specially around 14:40.
Yassss a Dash episode on the M8!
Great video! The M8 is indeed a beast at chopping! I’ve always used the LFO method for dirty timestretching on the M8, so I’ll have to look at your envelope technique.
Dope! Don't have a M8 but applying these techniques to loops of my own music on the PE Tracker I recently traded for - really cool stuff. Also doing the granular beat stretch technique and intentionally putting the middle Position in the wrong place can lead to some very cool results for broken sounding playback.
Great to hear!
I don't think the tracker is the beast at chopping breaks, I think you're the beast my friend. So dope, just wow
Yo thanks man!
Yes! Just got one myself
Loving your channel bro!
Appreciate it!
Awesome Vid!! Thank you very much. I am totally up for more M8 :D
If you like this sort of thing you'd love Renoise.
I do
Great video dude! More M8 stuff please!
Loved that! More M8 :)
cool little tracker . im using both polyend play plus and tracker mini to go nuts with the breaks
Namaste Brother
Sesame street is my all time favourite breakbeat. Can he heard in classics such as Deep Blue - Helicopter Tune
MORE M8 PLEASE SIR!
So cool! Yes please more M8, maybe a psy track from scratch? =) Thank you!
Can I ask a question about video editing? I was very interested in how you made the keys illuminate blue when you press them, did you highlight each press manually in the editing program?
No this is a touchdesigner project someone made specifically for the M8, I just screen captured it :)
@@DashGlitch Thank you, it's clear now. I looked and thought: did he really highlight every click during editing, this is so much work... 😆
I’m trying to decide if I should see about trying this once it’s available again or getting a tracker mini, some aspects of this device seem confusing but I like that you have a lot of options, is it worth trying?
Absolutely, the synthesis engines are pretty deep and the sonic capabilities are crazy, it's a bit confusing but a lot of it can be bypassed with midi, sampling etc.
Get both, easy. M8 is truly pocketable with insane synth capabilities, very unique.
If you're not sure. Just buy a teensy for like $30. You can run it on a teensy through your computer using keyboard as controls
Great vid! How is this for a TOTAL NUBE? Non MUsican. Can I figure it out?
it's probably a good idea to play around with renoise first (it's a software tracker) and see if it makes sense to you before investing, if you haven't had much music making experience
Lots of non-musicians learned on trackers back in the day
you could try m8 headless, def. cheaper option to try it out and have the same functionality of the m8 but on the PC
