The thing that i like the most about watching colin and samir is that it's just so calming on your mind. You relax, sit back , be a sponge and absorb all the wisdom and ideas.
the content on this channel is so well-done and next level, it's major network quality and so digestable! I honestly haven't learned this much from a channel since Crash Course in high school- keep killing it!
Unlike most viral TikTok artists, Tai didn't ride the success of any single song for too long. I think there are going to be a lot of one-hit wonders on TikTok, who feel the success of a single song and don't realize when to give up on that hype and move on. Obviously, everyone blows up on one song, Tai did too, but he knew when to move on to his next viral hit. It helps that his music slaps every time, too
Tai's songwriting is super smart. I always love when a song speaks to me, or hooks me with the first line. If I can identify with the lyrics, I get that same satisfaction that I do when a comedian points out an observation that I feel like everyone's noticing but no one's talking about. Genius connection to the comedian's lens!
Bert Kreischer did a podcast with Casey Neistat where he talked about fan culture. He quoted a fan who said that being a fan is like feeling successful when the celebrity you like succeeds. I think Tai really appealed to that angle with his come up on TikTok. As Samir said, everyone wanted to help Tai out and root for him. They felt attached to him, like they were "choosing" him and following him and when he succeeded, they succeeded too. They could go tell their friends that their favorite TikTok musician was doing better because of their support, and they felt grateful to have a hand in that
Met this dude a few weeks ago, definitely a chill guy, and his story reminds me a lot of the journey I’m on right now with video creating. Y’all always get the best guesstttss.
This interview made me fall in LOVE with him. I love A-O-K and I know I’m not the only person who has “random” songs and artists in their playlists and you just imagine what the artist(s) look like. If you’re like me you don’t usually “stalk” an artist you just found unless you see a video of them. Plenty of ppl I thought may be darkskin tall fit may be brown skin average build or in this case I think they’re one thing (white) and they’re black or Asian etc. it just reminds me of how our minds work in mysterious ways. It’s so cool how we can create all of these different stories in our head. Like literally you can wake up and now you have 2+ stories if I get up right now and do this this and this then x might happen but if I stay in bed a little longer y might happen or again if I get on my phone x might happen it’s just crazy.
Dam Tai Verdes, Colin and Samir have shown the world how to Just DO It so there is no excuses now. This is a gold mine of social knowledge on todays way to create. Just create your changing the world !
Yoo this was an amazing interview guys!! Had no clue Tai went to Babson. I went there for a year and currently taking my second gap year to pursue music in LA, so it's super inspiring for me to hear Tai's journey. Keep it up guys!!
Like Victoria Paris, Tai Verdes has such a business mind. He did music both because he loved it and because it was scalable. His success wasn't an accident, just like Victoria, he almost knew he was gonna succeed
That exclusivity angle with the sharing on TikTok is something I've never thought about. But it's so true, everyone feels good when you share a TikTok like that
bruh he is underrated af. I was among the first few thousand people to lsn to his music. I would tell my frds abt him but no one knew him. It is amazing to finally have someone acknowledge him. I love u both. I've been wanting this for months now but never knew it was already out😭
He loved performing that. I'm quite literally crying right now. N he has so much knowledge bruh. This seriously shows that u dont need to go to college to make it. U need common sense and determination
This is the 3rd time I've watch/listening to this, wish they talked about his transition from Tyler semicolon to tai Verdes, and why cause I haven't seen him talk about it! huge fan of both and what a beautiful mix
This is such a good interview... ... & love *Tai Verdes* & his songs...!!! & yep... I was also one of those who first found out about him way back when his _Stuck In The Middle_ song went viral...!!! Love the video for that song too...!!! 👍 🎧 🎵 🧡 🙂

Drugs was the first Tai Verdes song I ever listened to, and that was 2 years ago. I'm just watching this episode of the podcast now and it's like worlds collide😂🫂 there's even a performance?! Mad!😂

Smart guy and super inspirational! Your show is a great conduit to stuff I don't see or hear of normally.

This song was the best later gang moment yet!
#latergang keeps getting better
I loved that 1st viral tik tok and have kinda kept up with him. Really happy for him :)
LOL I had the same thought about the coffee intro
Tai Verdes looks and sounds like Shock G, lead vocalist of Hip Hop group Digital Underground
Life is super long and people try to convince you that its short so when your deciding things know that its long term -Tai Verdes
Ok, didn't search through the other commens, but Colin... you said hot coffee and I'm pretty sure I see an iced in the interview?!?!?! :D :D :D
The coffee conversation was perfect. Also, hot coffee, FTW.
