I have been self employed for 3 months after being made redundant on my birthday! I'm now a full time blogger & business owner and it's all because of you all. Today I explain what happened, what I have been up to and my plans for the future :)

@@EstherBonsu personally I don't know of anyone living in the slums who tried to apply LOA and failed so I can't answer your question for them, sorry!
@@EstherBonsu it doesn't work because they will always believe they have nothing as they don't know any better. you can't really miss what u already don't have or have the knowledge of. also as someone who grew up in such an environment in Uganda I have to say many use witch craft! which only keeps them the same they are or many pray and pray and beg God to change their life while they don't try to change it themselves remember the law of attraction is all about ones mindset but u also have to act up on how it guides you to a better life. am ngl it's worked for me when it comes to relationships especially
another reason is other people mindsets plays part. Africa will forever be referred to as a slum or poor or with terrible leaders by the world therefore it keeps staying the same. Greedy political leaders, and people running from their countries due to corruption, war and, political and economic reasons. just like the world as a collective sees the west as being the "better life" it will stay that way. until peoples mindsets change. This is why I don't watch the news it has a powerful force to bring negativity into the world
my grandparents were from deep deep down in the village where I have visited plenty of time. they had no electricity not even a toilet! or shower. but I have to tell you they were happy. they lived a very long healthy life had never seen a tv got immunised or even taken western medicine yet they never fell sick. my thing is u cannot miss what u do not have. in the west we are bombarded with media, social media etc telling us we need all these things so we long for them and constantly wish to have them which in reality only keeps us further from getting them due to the constant 'want' rather than being thankful we have food, free education, great healthcare, good health etc. hey even food to eat everyday! why is it that in Africa u can grow your own food in your back yard, have a cow etc yet people are dying of hunger.... think about it.

Continue to excel Jade you shall be fine. I too was made redundant on my birthday 7 years ago and it was the best thing ever. It was unexpected and I was a bit let down (long story) but God is GREAT and knew I'd be fine. Anyway keep being great!

In the US we say laid off, but made redundant sounds less harsh for a negative situation. This spoke to me on so many levels. Im too trying to branch out on my own.
So proud of you! I did notice the increase in content but thought you were just taking time off or something.

I am current unemployed and have a side business. I want to be self employed but my business is new and i do not get a lot of money from it as of yet.
praying God blesses me with a good well paid 9-5 and my side business does well so I can become self employed. God help me
