I remember the late 80's when he was at the height of his career, everyone was saying you have to hear this guy he's amazing, we (Ireland) tuned in every day, the show always had interesting topics and Gerry presented it better than anyone, there will only be one Gerry Ryan.
I was 20 when he died, listened to his show as an apprentice mechanic in the workshop every morning for the last 3 years, many a minute I spent buckled with laughter beside that two post lift. Happy times, miss those days now.
ALMOST 4 YEARS STILL MISS HIS LAUGHS HIS VOICE MORNINGS MY DAUGHTERS AND I WOULD BE IN STITCHES LAUGHING.YOUR A TRUE LEGEND JERRY.THANKS FOR THOSE PRECIOUS YEARS MAY YOU REST IN PEACE.
If there ever was a voice for Radio, it was Gerry 's. There is something magical in the connection he made. I can only think of Terry Wogan with that same quality to relax and excite in equal measure ☺
Where would I access these podcasts. My son spoke to him aged 12 about his loves of planes and all things aeronautical and Gerry was like a big kid himself talking about all that stuff. My son is now an aeronautical engineer (almost) and we'd love to hear it again. I had it recorded on an old phone but I can't power it on 😭. Thanks for any help. It was duringy sons Easter holidays in 2020 and Gerry sadly passed away not long after. My son was very upset at the time
I got these podcast online shortly after he passed away i notice there not there anymore am sure if of you look hard enough you will find them. the ones i have are tribute poscast.
I've listen2 fm since i was a teenager especially when gerry was on night time radio right through to daytime radio. when he died i listened for about 2 year's after he died. They make to many changes to quick even Larry's gone .
It's been said, he was a thorn in the side of a certain secretive organisation, and their future plans to further dunb-down Irish society. Jerry was very outspoken on matters concerning his own personal affairs during the financial crash. It was feared that this outspoken approach might rub off on the general Irish public. However, it's never been proven that his "powder" was interfered with by anyone.

Who is the presenter at the start of this clip?
mayway : Eveln o Rourke she was gerrys reporter on the show.
Music ruined this
It was on the original clip nothing to with me.
