Most excellent my 28MM NAPOLINIC FIX ,after two weeks of painting up my 20mm scale a Stalingrad project , i,m switching back to painting my 20th battalion of my Perry FRENCH , FOR MY French WATERLOO 1st corp. Keep up your brilliant videos , when are you doing a live game please.
Foundry are absolutely great minis! They are tge OG top quality Naps imo and paint absolutely beautifully! They're a little small compared to other manufacturers, but they are lovely!
Absolutely love these videos! Am working on my peninsular war french currently, and the british aren't too far behind. Always look forward to the unusual extras you pick out with these vids, like the staff team and the portugese signal stand thing previously. Keep up the good work!
I work my french battalions on 36 for line and light and 40 for guards , then 24 for such things as allies and smaller units like marines simply because I like to see bigger battalions especially with the french in block order I just think it looks more awesome a challenge . Excellent videos please keep it up
I am in the middle of painting up my Peninsula Brits and French now. I also just ordered the Epic waterloo French Napoleonics... I will order the Epic waterloo Brits next month. I am also looking for metal lances for my Polish Lancers in 28mm as the plastic lances on the warlord Pols break if you breathe on them...
Excellent. I've been thinking about getting some french to get some change from all the redcoats, and been vascilating between 1811-1812 to match my british or something earlier (tentatively 1806, because they look incredible when you describe them). Unless you manage to release "Start collecting Early French" before I get going, I think I have my choice made for me now...
Great video as always. If you're doing a getting started video in the run up to crimbo could you include a bit on bases/units and maximising efficiency to cover couple of rule sets i.e. Black Powder and Sharpe Practice etc.
I do 36 men battalions and I plan on doing probably 40 men cavalry regiments (haven’t painted up any yet) as they usually were a bit larger than an infantry battalion in the field + I love the look of large units
@@NapoleonicWargaming I know they're you're favorite unit and after painting a squadron I agree. Their uniforms are bloody gorgeous and their reputation as a unit was incomparable.
Fantastic video and very helpful. The two videos you did on Peninsular war theatre have been so helpful as I get into Black Powder. By the way what do you think of the new Napoleonic Epic range just announced by Warlords?
Okay, but you have 16 dismounted dragoons now. What did you do with those? Are they a small unit? Did you make a medium unit by sticking some horse-holders in the back? Are they just decoration on the command bases?
No flags mate with the repacked plastics
That's That's real jip as they show them on the website. Thanks for the heads up!
@@NapoleonicWargaming I'd take that up with Victrix as it most definitely shows a pack of flags in their pictures of the contents of the bag/box.
Very interesting video. When you said about allies I thought maybe Talavera, but I guess that might cost more than £200!! Lol.

Great stuff. I’m just starting a French force using Wargames Foundry figs, and found this fascinating to see the other manufacturers out there.

That miniature of General Junot is an absolute beauty, definitely going with him
Another great Start Collecting. Definitely will use this once the kid and I get into Mid-War/Peninsular campaign! Well done!
Hello mate, that is awesome that you make this collecting video right now.

Hello Nick, you also follow Tim I see. Brilliant channel
@@ratelmike8825 I try to follow all mini/ wargame board game channels. You?
These are very useful videos thanks for sharing, all the best, Garry

Holy guacamole my man that's a monster regiment. That's three boxes of perry cavalry
I'm shocked you didn't add Polish Lancers! This was the perfect excuse.
It's a constant battle not to! 😂
@@NapoleonicWargaming You just wanted to be the only player to pull out some Polish Lancers for the table. I understand now.
@@davidcollins2648 Hahaha. That's it!

You actually said you had based the British on Salamanca not Fuentes D’Onoro. Thanks again though for a really helpful guide.
It's basically the same army ;)
hey now if you could do something for Joseph Bonaparte's Spanish Army that'd be great
Fantastic video and very helpful. The two videos you did on Peninsular war theatre have been so helpful as I get into Black Powder. By the way what do you think of the new Napoleonic Epic range just announced by Warlords?
question man where do you get the information for the other videos you make?
Various websites, books, magazines. I did 2 videos last Xmas on the best books (one video was fiction, one non fiction)

You can do all those with them! For me, I'd base them individually and get them painted ready for Lord of the Sharpe... ;)
YES THANK YOU IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS OH THANK YOU🙏
Go on do a start collecting spanish. Love that useless army and I've eyed them up for about 6 years now
I think I've done one! I'll have a look...
Turns out I haven't!
couldyou use the mid war victrix pack to make Italians?
You absolutely could! In fact I've already done a start collecting Italians!
@@NapoleonicWargaming yes you used the Perrys for those so was just making sure they were equivalant
@@PsykerKaregg yeah, they're the same uniforms. Using Victrix here was to make it a bit different from the Italian one, and to show an alternative
