When an adolescent is super sheltered, he or she has little opportunity to build social skills and no chance to make their own decisions, stumble, get up, and keep on going. Justin is a good kid. He is still an adolescent so he will interact as an adolescent. Cut him some slack.
It wouldn’t surprise me if Justin ends up having a wondering eye or would want out of the marriage later in life. It sounds like he is being “forced” to marry his first girlfriend. Being married and probably having kids so fast will overwhelm him.
It's so natural for young people to fall in and out of love. Most fun does will blame the female. Hard to believe Anna Duggar with six pregnancies this young wasn't " joyfully available.
To be honest he should have a “wondering eye” he’s a child, they should be dating and trying to figure themselves out not getting married and being trapped, they’re so young it’s just sad.
Claire's post sounds typical of a teenage girl at that age, fundie or not. The difference is that a non-fundie will grow out of it, the relationship will end, she moves on, and laughs about it when she's 30. With a fundie, they are stuck and will cry about it at 30 while their 6 kids are crying for their dinner.
So basically, if he didn't live in such a controlling environment, he'd be out having fun instead of trying himself and this poor girl into a lifetime of an unfulfilling and miserable marriage. I feel sorry for both of them

It's sad that these families set them up this way. Also, is the Sephoria gift card, so Claire can look pretty when she's " joyfully available "??
Claire is 100% marking her territory with that intense post! All his other girls need to take a good look at who he's going home with! 🤣 She's going to do her best to be a trophy wife. And Justin probably knows that as long as he doesn't get caught stepping out, his reputation is in tact... but even if he gets caught, she's not leaving him! He's GOLDEN! He's got the best of both worlds.
I just love their engagement announcement videos, they always look so uncomfortable and awkward while trying to talk about "what they love" about each other. When they literally know NOTHING about them other than than "they're funny, kind, sweet, etc"🤣
I thought Justin acted like a 15 year old, when I first heard him talk. His fiancee was much more mature. She will take the lead in their marriage, if she has any sense. Does Justin even know anything about sex and satisfying a woman? What premarriage counselling do they receive?
As a parent of 7 kids (not anywhere near 19) I can tell you it’s exhausting to keep monitoring the younger as diligently as you did the older; as you get older, you lose the energy and focus to watch everything the kids do as they get older. As we’ve seen too, the older Duggar kids are getting more “worldly” and more exposed to the internet and mainstream culture etc. It’s easy to see that they ALL may have become a little more lax and kind of let stuff go. LOL, but not, because it’s a thing, especially when the children are spread out over a generation or 2 (between Josh and Josie).
Justin has also had his brother's example (Josh) as to how to be a "player", so even though he was surrounded by accountability partners, he was still very flirtatous.
Our family occasionally attends camp at the alert academy because it's beautiful there and we have fun. My 16 yr old daughter met a super nice 18 yr old and after they talked on the phone for a month (behind his parents back), the parents found out. Our families met on a couple of occasions but it all ended because his parents insisted these kids get married or else he would have to go to the alert academy. The boy begged my daughter to say yes so he wouldn't have to go. He had already been through the first phase! My girl adored him but realized she would be trapped with a controlling family and at the age of 16! Poor boy is still there at alert. We told him before he went that he needed to man up and get out of the house and never look back. Hope he finds his way. We will NEVER go back to alert family camp after that horrible experience!
I'm kind of amazed that they would ask for a Roomba(which by the way, I think are awesome), can't you be a better barefoot, pregnant homebody, if you're doing your own vacuuming?

I remember on 19 kids and counting there was an episode that Justin takes his school work and hides it upstairs. He should have been in 4-5th grade at the time if he was in a school classroom. The book he was using was call teach your child to read in 100 easy lessons. It was the same book someone had given me to teach my preschooler to read. I remember my oldest had no interest in the book and my youngest speed through it, it was not one size fits all, it was very specific learning style not for every kid. I wondered why Justin was using this book and in 4-5th grade? and if it was another Duggars one book or program fits all kids(my friend who gave me the book was part of a pretty strict Christian homeschool group). She’s supposedly very great friends with cousin Amy and possibly she’s getting her information from her. Just my opinion. Also Amy has an order against her by Jim Bob to stay quiet but if she trusts Katie then she may be the informant. I hope not cause she could get in a lot of trouble.
Great content, Katie. But can we address the elephant in the room? Frida needs her own decorating show on RUclips. She is the best pillow arranger out there. Before she moves anything she stands on the floor looking up and down deciding how she will arrange the couch! She’s a hoot!
Wow...if I had married my first boyfriend, I would have ended up stuck with a serial cheater and a narcissist! My life would have been miserable! Marrying your first love is just not usually a great idea. Especially if you haven't even known the person for more than a few months!
He's just trying to act like a normal teenager and boom! He's engaged. Of course he's immature. Claire is also immature, even if she's presenting as mature for her age. Their brains aren't fully developed yet. She's full of puppy love and have this ideal, rosy view of how this marriage is going to be. I'm not to say that that won't be able to grow up together, in love, and have a good marriage. I found my husband at 20 myself. However, we were both experienced with relationships and had experiences (good and bad) that these kids don't have. We didn't get married straight away either. Also we were one of the "lucky couples" who managed to go into full adulthood together, instead of growing apart. I feel we were the exception. Not the norm. We just happened to be very compatible and I'm grateful for it. But it's not all that common to find your life partner in your early 20's anymore. Most young people are studying, making plans for their future careers, working hard and enjoying life as a young adult, with no strings attached. I think the reality of being married will hit this couple like a ton of bricks, once the honeymoon phase is over. By then they will probably also be expecting and we all know baby changes everything. I truly hope I'm wrong here. For their sake.
KJ your "baby" took PHOTOBOMB to a whole new level. Couldn't listen to you and watch your puppy at the same time. This is what you would call background noise. TOO funny!

I was going to say that divorce really isn't an option in that world but one of Anna's brothers, who broke off with their family b/c he & his wife became more progressive being out on their own, is now divorced from that wife. I think one of Anna's sisters also divorced and is now remarried.
An 18 year old is technically an adult, but, in this day and age, but at 18 most people are still "kids." Many are still in high school at that age. His behaviour in wanting to connect with girls was normal.

I don’t mean that in a bad way..I’m actually curious if they respond to you or just reach out without prompt?
She’s supposedly very great friends with cousin Amy and possibly she’s getting her information from her. Just my opinion. Also Amy has an order against her by Jim Bob to stay quiet but if she trusts Katie then she may be the informant. I hope not cause she could get in a lot of trouble.
Love the Duggar content!’
Your dog made me laugh so much! So cute!
Claire needs to get out!! 🙏
Hi Katy...do the girls, who are marrying Duggar boys, have to answer that long and invasive questionnaire?
Your dog cracks me up
I was going to say if you play with emotions you can still be a player.
Does he have hair? Omg so sad these children are abused like this!!
Great content, Katie. But can we address the elephant in the room? Frida needs her own decorating show on RUclips. She is the best pillow arranger out there. Before she moves anything she stands on the floor looking up and down deciding how she will arrange the couch! She’s a hoot!
Love your personality and your research.
Sounds like Justin is hormonal
That is one VERY smart dog!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I got married at age 18 yrs. Stayed married for same number of years and raised 3 kids..big deal. Up to them. Its nothing unusual.
But they are pretty much forced into the marriage. They are getting married for all the wrong reasons.
Wow...if I had married my first boyfriend, I would have ended up stuck with a serial cheater and a narcissist! My life would have been miserable! Marrying your first love is just not usually a great idea. Especially if you haven't even known the person for more than a few months!
Your dog is so cute...knocking all the cushions off just so she can lay down comfortably. :-)
Your dog really doesn't like pillows! Lol
The flames that you are adding to the background (thumbnail) now keep cracking me up.
KJ your "baby" took PHOTOBOMB to a whole new level. Couldn't listen to you and watch your puppy at the same time. This is what you would call background noise. TOO funny!
I wouldn’t have any of the Duggar’s girls or boys marrying any of my children
I got married that young. We’ve been married 40 years
Justin was at the age of just discovering girls;of course he wanted to talk to many of them. And of course he was too immature to get married.Wonder how this is going to be many years down the road
Jim Bob and Michelle will have a lot to answer for come judgement day plus some of their children will hate and despise them.
He looks like a baby still. This is insane
Great video Katie, I’m loving these videos🙂🙂
Unfortunately, they may divorce. I wish the parents would see that it’s better to wait.
I was going to say that divorce really isn't an option in that world but one of Anna's brothers, who broke off with their family b/c he & his wife became more progressive being out on their own, is now divorced from that wife. I think one of Anna's sisters also divorced and is now remarried.
Acts like he's 14
Love your Dog, Kicking off your pillows in every Video!😂👍🏻
Your dog made my day 😊
I'm so glad!
An 18 year old is technically an adult, but, in this day and age, but at 18 most people are still "kids." Many are still in high school at that age. His behaviour in wanting to connect with girls was normal.
I'm sorry but your dog in the background is making it me laugh , he does not like pillows on the couch ..
🐕🐶🐕🐶💜
Cracking up at your dog lol
Sounds like normal teenage behavior
