Have a look at Joe X’s destruction videos. That SR1 Lite is MUCH tougher than those fixed blades. Actually, it’s much more robust than much bigger and “tougher on paper” fixed blades. Will blow your mind.
My knife of the week is my backup folder, the Kershaw Cryo II. Plain sharp edge, used it to cut everything from feed bags to weed whacker line. Tuff lil farm knife!
Working on a coastguard buoy, tender for last 2 weeks. The ESEE 3 in S35VN and Para 3 made the trip. The ESEE 3 is my work EDC when rope and rigging are my biggest threats, and my knife of the week.
@@HardOnGearChannel Yes twice the edge retention as 1095, not to hard to sharpen, and very rust resistant. Not as tough as 1095 but you can’t have it all.
My knife of the week was the Knifecenter Exclusive Civivi Conspirator with black aluminum scales and a S35VN blade. A close runner up was the new Ontario Rat 1 in red G10 and S35VN steel. I really like it, but I do wish it came in other colors. Red is not my favorite color. I imagine they will release it in other colors somewhere down the line.
Ive been carrying the Hogue EX-A01 lately. No real hard use to report, just opening boxes and installing insulation on my garage door. But it's handy, and keeps a good edge.
Carried My Benchmade Bugout in M4 From Tree Stabbing Troy and cold steel code 4 from Chaz! That worksharp is looking well loved bro thats awesome!. good to know on that spyderco bow river thank you! Cheers
I've made the mistake closing the the sr1 lite! I've never bled so much from my own knife before. Caught my knuckle and it was so sharp I didnt even notice it got me. Very painful and messy. Not reccomend. And even a few months later it still hurts to curl my pointer finger all the way closed.
Ouch! I’ve been good so far, but multiple times I’ve thought about how nasty things could get if my finger placement was off. Thanks for sharing and hopefully that heals up well for you in the end 🤙

Indeed it is... just doesn't wanna cut a apple in half 😅

Nice! Weed whacked line would be a pretty solid test of edge toughness and durability 👌

Nice! That work around the water must definitely influence your knife/steel choices.

Nice! I almost put my RAT 1 in my pocket this week. Maybe next week I’ll have to give it another solid go 👊
