That Roast on MTV where someone made fun of Ryan Dunn's death right to Steve-O's face was hard to watch. Like, it wasn't even funny it was just mean and you could tell Steve took it to heart.
I grew up in the area where most of the group lived, and it was a horrible thing to see on the TV news at the time. He was one of the good ones. For sure. Miss that guy. 💔
Will always remember being at some kind of family friend event & all of us teens we’re upstairs watching tv, playing games whatever, while the parents did whatever down stairs, not Super Bowl but something like that. & we all watched the Ryan Dunn mtv documentary/tribute & it was incredible. Will always remember that, it went from great fun & laughter to lights off, silence except for laughing at the stunts he & jackass crew did
After the first Jackass movie, Johnny Knoxville was getting real movie roles but it never stopped him from doing some of the modt dangerous stunts in Jackass.
He was originally a writer for a police gear magazine. He tested stun guns, riot control equipment, clubs, less lethal shotgun rounds, pepperspray, and restraints on himself and wrote articles about his experiences. He also filmed himself testing a bulletproof vest with live ammunition. That tape made it's way to someone at MTV, and they immediately called him and offered him a show.

The fact that I idolized these guys growing up and escaped my childhood with the little amount of broken bones that I actually had is nothing short of a miracle
I split my thumb holding a plastic bottle that my friend punted with a steel toed boot because of these guys. We did a lot of flying out of shopping carts in middle school. No regrets. CKY rules.
@@JRush374 I was too old for imitating or the shopping cart bits when the show aired but I have to admit that shit would've been fun in my younger days.
19:00 In Family Guy when Stevie was so scared he couldn’t sleep he imagined her was on Jackass and did this scene where he beat up Peter while he was on the toilet in the exact same way Bam did to his dad. I would actually remember Jackass bits as a way to cheer myself up when I was a kid.😂
I love showing the Jackass films to people who are cinema elitists, watching them slowly starting to hate themselves cos they can't stop laughing despite their aloof instincts.
*The Jackass movies were only ones my friends and I saw in the theaters (in Vegas), and it was just like a big living room. Everyone was talking, people were on their phones, some were being loud, and nobody cared. It was just a big hangout.*
6:52 I still to this day can’t watch this scene without laughing so hard I almost cry. And it’s solely from when he shits himself in the van and everyone is panicking trying to get out.
You guys hit the nail on the head. Underneath all the naked testicles and puke and poop and injuries, Jackass is about having fun with your friends. My favorite part might be when Knoxville successfully pulls off the Big Red Rocket and everyone is jumping and cheering for him. DEFINITELY watch parts 3 and 4.
Bigger wheels on bikes allow you to go further for each rotation of your legs on the pedal. Before gears existed, this was the "easiest" design to use. Bikes started out with equal wheels, but it was to much "work" to move them around.
Mannn you guys laughing made me laugh hard as helll 😂😂😂 Casey was not having it at all w the barfing scenes! I remember when i used to play the Jackass game back in the PS2 days soo funnn! Loving the content i laughed w you guys throughout 🤣
The one Jackass skit I'll never forget is the bear prank stunt in Jackass Forever. I don't care how tame that bear was or how many experienced bear trainers were on set, you don't f with mother nature like that and the stunt could easily have gone so wrong so fast. Poor Ehren, I'll never forget his terrified face! 😅
I was NOT expecting the other Jackass movies in here! (I know, I can't read) But I LOOOOVE your guys' channel sooo much, I love your personalities, your laughs, the content you react too, you guys are great! :) SO EXCITED to see you guys grow and what's next!! XO Peace and love!
I'm mixed on the Jackass movies. Some of the skits just don't do anything for me. But then some are absolutely hilarious. And for me, the hilarious stuff makes it all worthwhile. Don't forget, there's not just two other movies, there are also the X.5 versions, with the deleted skits, interviews, and making of stuff.
In the first few years of RUclips there was a homemade Jackass prank called "Dropkick in a box" where an obvious high school student was "meditating" in a large cardboard box and his friend dropkicked the box. It was hilarious and they even used the same typeface for the titles as the show. Gone from YT now but I remember it.
I love Jackass, these guys do all kinds of stupid and dangerous stunts but some of them look fun but like the Warning says "Never attempt to do any of the stunts in this movie at home"
Without jackass I don't think we'd have any of these people that are running around doing pranks on RUclips and now TikTok thank you jackass All the contributions all the blood and sweat and tears and agony you guys went through to bring us this franchise what a franchise masterpiece❤
Always a fun time watching people react to Jackass. It's definitely a comfort movie/series for me when I'm not feeling the best. If you continue the journey, please watch the .5's too. There is some really fun moments in there, especially the most recent 4.5 and you can't forget the standalone Bad Grandpa movie too, I feel Kacey would like that one a whole lot, a bit more subdued but still hilarious
29:22 The reason why they were a thing was before the invention of a bike chain and gears to assist with the pedaling and giving you more distance per pedal stroke the Giant wheel was basically that it gave you a bigger distance that 2 same size wheels couldn't at the time. To simplify. you're essentially pedaling a unicycle with the additional drawback of dragging a second wheel of the same size around and without a chain or gears you're doing twice the work for not much distance.
It's still amazing that Steve-o of all people was the one to come out clean and straight and narrow from all those drugs and shit and try to help out the most with AA and all that with the boys.

30:14 That is Spike Jonze. He’s the co creator of Jackass alongside Johnny Knoxville & Jeff Tremaine & a supporting cast member. Spike Jonze crazy enough is actually an Academy Award Winning filmmaker known for films like Being John Malkovich, Adaptation, Where The Wild Things, & Her(which got him the Academy Award for Best Screenplay). It’s crazy because I didn’t expect one of the co creators of Jackass to be an Academy Award winning filmmaker. But how he got involved with Jackass was actually because all members of the Jackass came from the Skateboarding & BMX scene. All of the members except for Bam Margera & Ryan Dunn(RIP) came out of this skateboarding magazine called Big Brother. And Bam Margera & Ryan Dunn came from this thing called CKY(Camp Kill Yourself), which was a series of videos consisting of pranks, stunts, & skateboarding footage. Kacee before nearly every comedy movie reaction: "Gross out humor isn't for me"
Anthony: ... "let's watch the Jackass series babe"
😂
Kacee: “They must have a lot of mental toughness.”
Me: “No, they had a lot of drugs and alcohol.”
