    If you think someone's attitude is not what you expected, I suggest you talk directly to them. No one ever knows what you are thinking. And they are so young, and they have so little experience in dealing with the situation. You can't expect them to have an attitude like those who are older and with a lot of social experience. A good leader must know how to lead different personality types, keep the talent and use the good from them. A good attitude is important, but are you sure it's the most important?

    as a judge or a mentor, bonita you should be professional during these assessments such as showing no expressions or judgements during their performance or while they are still in the room. You can show all that after they leave. If you do this while the trainees are still in there, it could damage their performance. You should be professional about this like the other younger mentors in the room. They were expressionless so the trainees could not tell what they were thinking! That is being professional, learn to not give away your thoughts during these assessments.

    That’s the first time I’ve heard that being optimistic is a bad attitude. But at least Cheryl tried to point out that it wasn’t the ‘optimistic and overly cheerful’ attitude that was a no go. I like Cheryl!

    After 5 weeks of intense training and if most didn't meet your standard, then shouldn't you be looking at your method of training them instead of the trainees themselves? I mean, if most of the students in a class is failing then the issue probably lies in the teachers' method of teaching or curriculum itself. Think about it.

    • @davischow517

      Those are TRAINEES, not just students. They are not here to pass an exam, they are here to build a career. Think about it.

    • @alexloganlee
      @alexloganlee 3 года назад +73

      During our audition, we will take in as many potential models as we can. However, we only have a few minutes to gauge their potential during the audition. It is through the process of training that we get to know these trainees better and whether modelling is a suitable career for them.
      We give new trainees a lot of guidance and opportunities to work on themselves during the training. Being a model, like any job, is more than just performing your basic duties of being able to catwalk or act. It is also about your attitude towards work and learning. Are you taking in feedback? Are you punctual for your lessons? Are you applying what you’ve learnt in class?
      Of course, we would like everyone to pass and sign them on as models. Why would we be spending time, money, and effort on them if otherwise? And trust me, it does take a lot of effort and we are the only modelling agency in Singapore who cared enough to do such a long and intensive training program.
      The hard truth is, not everyone can be models. If they can’t perform in such a protected environment, they won’t survive in the modelling world.

    As someone who used to work in the fashion industry, I must say Bonita and her team really put in a lot of effort to train their models. Most agencies I know will just throw you into any job without any training or preparation. It ended up becoming a very bad working experience for both the model and the client. Good on Bonita for taking the tougher path to make the modelling industry a better working environment. Ignore the haters here. They have no idea what they are talking about.

      I spray rose water onto my brush and run it through my hair after detangling
      Additionally, I focus my shampoo towards my scalp with not much reaching my ends, and my conditioner focuses on my ends with little attention to the scalp
      Both have helped to tame my hair and make it smoother

    i feel like half of the trainees here are more qualified to become an influencer/ig models rather than professional models. Those doing bad poses gives off alot of OOTDs vibes like they are taking IG shots. Compared to shows like AsNTM etc the trainees here are not taking it seriously or if i wanna put it in a way people understand, they dont seem prepared. So far, only Melanie and Lidiya did well.
