This isn’t true at all if they’re playing Starliege Photon Blast Dragon that gives Target protection as well as destruction protection. Some lists don’t play it true, but there’s quite a few that do just specifically to counter Ultimate Slayer.
I've played the deck for a month or so. It's nice but you basically high roll on opening nept. This deck is really bad if you don't open nept and pass to 1 ht 90% of the time you dont open it.
thats what I wanna know lol I just picked up all the white woods cards and I love the strategy and cards. I know its supposed to be way more powerful come February with the new support

Ritual Beast performed really well at Bologna,why is your opinion of it so bad? Even without shifter it's engine is very good into Deadnador imo. With Lara in grave and all normal summons not activating on summon and Nochis targeting protection i think it's fairly good into Ryzeal
I'm not a Ritual Beast player by all means. However, you gotta account that with Lancea in the format this deck should also suffer by alot. Also without the access to Protos/Collossus (under Lancea ofc) the endboard is not that great anymore. And similar to Tempai, RB won matches with Shifter alone which isn't possible with Ryzeal and Maliss in the upcoming format. But thats just my thought process :)
@Xentrien lancea is definitely super strong,but that doesnt stop him from ranking maliss that high. Ritual beast has results to back up it's strength. I am not saying it's best deck,i just think it's rated too low

@@derohneleben8205 Maliss has angles to play through Lancea, I don't think Ritual Beast does, its a case of RB getting caught in the cross-fire where Lancea's play is potentially a big blowout - combine that with an uptick in Purulia for Ryzeal in my opinion, and every deck has at minimum 6 major blowouts to hurt RB (not to mention Fuwalos and D-Barrier are also going to be super common)
I like the layout for the decks you made. I think this set is going to power creep really hard and you either play the 2 new decks or you lose. It’s unfortunate, but it’s how the game continues to be relevant.

World maybe Play without the math lab, all of Ryzeal is Rank 4 and Even malice do Not have enough ranks or level. I Play also lab and would try both methods
As much as I think Ryzeal is the better deck of the format I think that Maliss is the deck with the higher ceiling and has more complex lines than Ryzeal. Maliss when it gets more spells and possibly a link-1 or link-2 it would make it rise to the top of the ranks. The best potential has to be Maliss forsure in my opinion. I wanna know what u think tho
Couldn’t yubel still preform a hell of a lot better playing a couple board breakers instead of 18 hand traps like the 12-6 or 9-9 hand traps to board breakers, I’m still new to yubel but to me unless it gets gutted on the next banlist I think it’s still gonna preform really well

Snake-eye is a non contending deck. There no reason for Maliss or Ryzeal to play shifter, which lets memento be more playable. Also ready to duel is not the best source for OCG information, look at Road of the king for more accurate tournament reporting.

I disagree with the snake eye fire king. People will be siding shifter or maining it just to stop it. People cannot take the deck out of the equation until its dead The issue is that they will have to face 5 shifter decks in the upcoming format
Abyss dweller and shifter does great into snake eyes. Shifter kinda screws me too but its not that bad as ryzeal. Also retaliating C and droll are great vs snake eyes too. Not enough side deck for all tho, wonder which is better. Droll is op vs anything but the ash opener.
Is the ocg playing flying c? If not how come? If used properly it seems like the perfect side card first or 2nd against ryzeal. As long as you wait for them to get locked which would happen almost all the time even if they start to play 1 link in ed they wouldnt be able to summon it until their next turn.

I was reluctant calling Ryzeal better than current SE variants. However, the success of the Fiendsmith/Handtrap made me change my mind. The Ryzeal deck is just the same, but an even better engine. I still think SE needs some more hits to let some rouge-ish decks breath a bit.
The only thing I think I disagree with is that I believe maliss at first will be better than ryzeal. Us not getting seventh ascension for 3.5 months is pretty big. And yes I understand we still have small world and 3 bonfire

Branded is only ever as good as the player base. No one good is playing the deck anymore so it’s fallen off. Still has lots of potential though since it can be built to do anything
mermail lines are anti nibiru, normally takes 3 hand traps to stop their turn since there is really no correct spots to hit unless its imperm on shark or ash on shadow or abyssrhine. cant tell you how many times my opp started with 1-0 cards in hand bc hand traps did absolutley nothing and got punished by moulin. also the deck feels so weak now compared to playing with the support post supreme darkness. easily over powers malice and ryzeal. the real problems abyss dweller and shifter

After Suda, if will almost always be getting into an Omni within a few summons, unless you literally hand trap it to death it will end on a good board. But it can't play very many handtraps, and if you don't draw into board breakers going second. You are probably cooked.
Do you think other decks like Mimighoul will be decent in this format? If so, what variation? Also with the set being UR heavy, do you think both decks will be more affordable or less? And what would you suggest for a more budget player?
Really feel like you're overestimating Maliss and Ryzeal. Every time I see gameplay with those decks it just looks like cheeks compared to Snake Eye or Yubel. If we don't have an impactful banlist I don't think the new decks do anything.

Ultimate Slayer almost completely cooks Ryzeal going second. No Detonator and no fieldspell basically ends 90% of their interaction.

Flying c and contact c are horrible, ex send agg negate it then full combo, node send it for eff, summon ice send it.

Maliss has too many lose conditions and is too vulnerable to hand traps. It wont be better.
