All I want to see Lonnie do is being aggressive on both sides of the ball. That's when you see the best side of Lonnie Walker. When he can use hesitation in his setup to drive the lane or take the best shot.manipulate his full speed the key will be ball handling n how hungry hes gonna be

Next year is a big one for Lonnie. A contract year. Depending on how the Spurs fill out their roster this off-season and next, it could be Lonnie's last year with the Spurs, as they let him go to become a journey man. But i think they could find a roster spot for him, by letting Saminic go after next year and by Lonnie not continuing to regress and being beat out by a guy like DaQuan Jeffries next year. But he's fun to watch, when he's on. He just better play his way above the numbers game.

It’ll be interesting to see how our young guns fair without demar and LMA this season. Lonnie, KJ, Dejounte, and D-white all have to step up.

if he's still a spur after the draft. We'd be smart to move him to get into the top 5

Most Laker fans don't know that Lonnie Walker IV made 111----3-pointers.
Yes it was off 353 attempts, that's where the 31.4% stat (1.6 made off 5.0 attempts per game) comes from.

    180 ° Turn!
SEEK YE the LORD while He may be found, call ye upon Him while He is near: [Isaiah 55:6]
FROM THAT time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. [Mt. 4:17]
THE LORD is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. [2 Peter 3:9 KJV]

    180 ° Turn!
HEREIN IS LOVE, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son into the world to be the propitiation for our sins. [1 John 4:10]
FOR GOD so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. [John 3:16]
FOR GOD sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. [John 3:17]
BUT GOD commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. [Romans 5:8]
WHO HIS own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. [1 Peter 2:24]
THE LORD is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. [2 Peter 3:9 KJV]

Call me crazy but I feel that the Spurs should get rid of Murray. He’s a natural ball hog and doesn’t have a Spurs type of unselfish playing style. This has really been effecting the team’s chemistry. Then when you have someone like DeRozan which is a similar ball Hog you have a recipe for disaster.

I'd like to ask you what you think a point guard does if not to control the ball? He increased his assists quite a bit this year with also an increase in every others that category. Even though his 3pt percentage did drop a bit he tripled his attempts without making it non threatening and I can see that improving mode this year. He is already a threat inside the paint, and has a great jumper. His defense is also one of the best in the NBA for a guard.

After watching most of this season’s games, I came to the conclusion that what made most of them an awful experience to watch was the fact that Sean Elliott is the worst announcer in basketball TV history. I can’t stand his comments and way of talking.

  • @primstar44
    @primstar44 3 года назад

Sean Elliot is the most insipid and boring commentator in the NBA, if not in all major sports. His voice is annoying, he lacks emotion and it is OBVIOUS he is always rooting for the Spurs. Don’t get me wrong, I am a die hard Spurs fan, but I believe that a sports commentator should be a little bit more impartial when it comes to broadcasting games. Every time I hear his putrid voice I switch to another broadcast because I just can’t stand him. Also, he is the most unnecessary jersey retirement in NBA history, he was just a solid starter on a good day and he may have had some great plays back in his day for the Spurs, but let’s be honest, he was just a little bit above average, not jersey retirement worthy. I wish he just wasn’t part of the Spurs broadcasting team.

Yep agreed. You’re probably gonna get some hate by commenting this on his highlight video but you are absolutely right.
Too many holes in his game defensively and far too inconsistent. With that said I still like his potential, just needs to improve his consistency. I just don’t think we can really extend his rookie contract without overpaying him. Another team will surely take a flyer on him and I’m not sure if matching an offer would be the best thing long term

I watched this season too, and I disagree. His ceiling is higher than White's he's four years younger, his issue is inconsistencies, but Pop hasn't really put him in a defined role to develop any consistency. He tries to put him an utility role, but he is a 3 level scorer that need a green light to shoot
