I was trying to find a reference to what this guy is talking about. I think he was referring to an article that said the mutations were not perfectly random, and that researchers developed an AI model to predict the mutation frequencies. That is NOT the same as saying they are caused by an AI.
Also, there is research that shows that evolution is analogous to preserving computation resources, or maximizing computation efficiency, but that does NOT mean it is caused by a computer. It means that there are interesting parallels and universal principles at play here. But that is not really woo-woo.
Dead is dead..why is non-existence so hard to grasp and understand? Yes when you die you will no longer exist in existence. I love being alive too...but I also know when I cease to exist I will cease to exist, I will no longer exist in existence...there is no after life in which I will exist.
