5:30 example of light without other lights
thank you so much for this indepth review. I'm about to buy the light and this video helped me!
Glad the video was helpful. This was one of my first “review” videos. I still use this light daily 3 years later 😁
I’m soo happy you showed this light with your other ones off. Soo helpful. Thank you
Awesome. Glad it was helpful.
Your setup is super clean mate, great work. Also dope review, very in-depth. May be getting myself one.
Appreciate it!
Very helpful! Thank you!
Awesome. Glad it helped.
Ya sold me... about to order this light immediately!
lol ... I think I like this like more now then even when I first got it. Having the flexibility to move it around my office space definitely will allow me to shoot more videos from different angles.
Thanks for the help buddy! God bless 🙌
No problem 👍
Love your videos
Thanks
I would have been nice to see the difference without auto exposure. Anyways, great video. Thanks for sharing your results with this light 👌
Thanks for watching. This was one of my first video tech reviews on YT. trying to improve everyday creating videos.
Thanks for sharing. 🙏🏽👍🏼
No problem.
Awesome video!! Thank you thank you!
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it.
Great video and light!
Thank you!
Thx for the review mate....I got the same light.....however I am able to control it through remote even when not using batteries so you may want to get your remote checked if still under warranty!
Since uploading this video, I’ve been able to use my remote without batteries in the light. I realized that the power button needed to be in the “ON” position
I have the 18 inch without any battery and the remote works just fine. I also added a defuser to mine and it's soften the light even more
A couple people have mentioned adding a diffuser. In my new setup, i'm using it more as a fill light in the background.
@@MonteWeaverofficial Nice how is it working for you? I love this Flapjack like it really makes a difference
Great review!
Thanks
Thanks for the info. I just ordered the light through your amazon link ;)
Awesome. I still use this light everyday. Thanks for purchasing through my Amazon link and supporting the channel.
@@MonteWeaverofficial no problem man. I just got my light today. You weren’t lying about it being really bright at 1% lol. Also, I was able to use my remote to control the light while it was plugged in without any battery. I think you mentioned you weren’t able to use your remote right?
Nice video u make it keep it up my bro
Thanks.
Monte - how do these work with ambient light? I'm interested in using these for my preschool photography. Most classes have fluorescent light. Would these overcome that?
I’m not sure. I’d have to test that. I only use mine in my office space where I have complete control over my lighting.
Hey Monte, great video thanks for the introduction. Are you still using this light or have you found a different one?
I still use it. Everyday.
Monte great work. Also it might be good to tell your subscribers the battery and adapter cost more than the light.
Great suggestion. I recorded this video months ago. I'm still new to doing YT videos (only 1 yr) so I'm definitely trying to create better videos.
Great Video! Would you prefer this Led Light over a Softbox style set up!
If space is an concern, definitely. I’d you’ve seen my more recent videos I do use a large soft box which I prefer because of its size and it spreads light more evenly.
I just got mine today and I think it’s too bright. The 1% dim is the same as 50% dim. Any suggestions or tips? I love the light and I want to get it to work for me.
Tilt the light. You can “bounce” light.
When I get ready to build my studio I will need your help
Gotcha!
can you further diffuse it, with like an umbrella ?
No, this is panel light with no additional diffusing.
So, is using batteries to power the light the key to using the remote? Or, did you find a way to use the remote while using the power adapter?
Thanks, for the awesome review!
It’s been so long that I can’t remember exactly what I had to do to get the remote to work. About 2 weeks after uploading the video, everything is working the way it’s supposed to with the remote and the light being plugged in. I’ve never purchased batteries for it since I don’t take it out of my filming space. I still use this light everyday and for videos I create and upload here on YT.
@@MonteWeaverofficial Thank you, for your prompt response! I'm glad to know that the light is still working well for you.
whats the best battery to buy
Here is one to check out - amzn.to/3ihC3QQ
Did you ever get the remote to work?
Yeah. I did. I think I had a bad set of batteries. I do have to remember to turn the remote off when not using it because it does drain the batteries.
Is it possibile to add some kind of control on the light? Like a honeycomb grid?
I guess it could be possible, but there is not an actual honeycomb grid made specifically for this light. It's a very thin build and no where to attach a grid
@@MonteWeaverofficial it would be nice to try with another grid and see how it change the light
Since moving locations, i also use the Apeture light dome and that comes with a honeycomb grid. Pricely light combo both works great
@@MonteWeaverofficial so you use the dome in front of this light?
That's a very nice video. One thing i don't understand is this. I checked the link you provide in the description section, but it seems the product includes only the mirror, but no tripod. Should one buy the tripod separately??
Mirror? It’s a panel light. It does not come with a tripod so you will need to purchase one separately.
@@MonteWeaverofficial Thanks man, I'll certainly buy it!
@@MonteWeaverofficial Which light stand do you use to support this panel light?
@@peramoredellanalisi4341 I use a prismatic stand - amzn.to/3tatoVQ
@@MonteWeaverofficial 6' is a good height, I go for it, thank you!
Debating between this and the Fotodiox version. The Neewer is half the price...
I had the same dilemma. The reason I went with the Neewer was price because I had also recently picked up the Aperture 120dII and the Aperture Lightdome
21" fall. ((( 17,9 inch
4:16 I really don't like bi-colour lights, compared to daylight balanced ones, because the power output is so weak compared.
Understandable
Too bright :/
Not even sure if what you mean 🤷🏽♂️
i mean i like your video, but i sew it only after i bought the light for y youtube setup, i find this light tooo bright, i cant get the cinematique look with it, Now im looking for a soft box who will suit this to fix the issue, again excellent video thank you@@MonteWeaverofficial
@ammardarhou gotcha. Yeah it’s a bright light. Even at 1%
Look like a rip off of FalconEyes.
Awesome light.
You just have to put the remote to the right same channel and A on the light and it will work fine no battery needed bro .
Thanks. This video is a couple years old so I definitely know how to get the remote working for this light
@@MonteWeaverofficial ah I see, I just received mine today ! I’m loving the light . Hey bro did you end up getting the battery to be able to use the light without being plugged in ? What battery is recommended ? I saw on Amazon on the light page they had this battery the Neewer V Mount/V Lock Battery - 190Wh 14.8V 13200mAh Rechargeable Li-ion Battery. My question is, is will this battery work for our NEEWER ARC lights ? Alsooo how do these battery’s charge ? I don’t see a charging port on that battery? Does it charge when the light is plugged into the wall and you have the battery connected ?
I just plug in my light (no battery) I just moved into a new studio so I’ve been using the light as a fill light more than anything. Here’s the new studio space. Amazon.com/live/monteweaver
@@MonteWeaverofficial ah thx , yo last question, I got my stand for this light today I got the Impact “Heavy-Duty Air-Cushioned Light Stand (Black, 9.5')” and when I mounted this Neeweer arc light the mount on the arc seems wobbly ? No matter how hard I tighten ? What stand did you go with for this light ? Are you having the wobble issue with the mount on the neewer arc ?
