Ok for anyone wondering about the strumming pattern i think i got it down. Go to 4:35 so you can understand it better if you want to im starting from there. (T is when he uses his thumb U is up D is down yk that) TDUDUD TD TD TDUUD TDUUD TD TUD TD TUD TDUUD TDUUD TD TUD TD TUD TDUUD TDUUD and it continues like that. I dont know if that made sense or how else i can specify it im sorry i tried my best :)
Recently came across the song myself and have been willed by the music gods to learn it. It's been a long while since I've felt the urge to learn more🤣
Thank you!! great tutorial simple and to the point. the F is a FM/C (open) and the C is not more advanced but rather a C/G (6 string strum instead of 5) its an ample addition to C, rings out low and full. Awesome point on the hammer on! (just pointing the chords your were discussing so there is no confusion for new players!)
Do you know how he does that change in strumming pattern since you seem advanced. Cause I can't figure out how he makes the cords sound like that. I'm not sure if it's the speed or the force or both. Ik he's muting the strings for some parts but idek know how he's getting them to mute 😂 it doesn't look like he's doing anything
@Andrei Peterson Thanks for setting that C/G straight. But isnt that F actually Fmaj7 or Fmaj7/E if you strum all strings? Not commenting to correct you but to learn. Im just starting to figure out how chord structure works so I would be grateful if you could explain what I'm understanding incorrectly.
I consider myself intermediate guitarist but bless you brother you have an amazing teaching ability even a person who never held a guitar could learn this fairly fast with you way of teaching. Keep it up subscribed 👏
Big thx bro👊 I got this song stuck in my head and I said F it! Ima grab a beer, sit outside with my Baritone Ukulele and learn this song. I googled it and bam! There was your vid. I learned the song faster and easier with this vid versus a website with tablature. Ty again my man, keep up the good work👌👍👊✌
Iv been playing this song by ear for a year now and i had a extra key i didnt need that sounded off but i kept using it. Now i can actuly play it and am so greatful it sounds right
Amazing vid for one of my favorite songs. Do you mind if I ask what the strumming pattern is exactly? I think I kind of have it, but I learn it better if I repeat it out loud.
liked the vid man. i wish there was more people that could teach songs like this!! i'm always struggling to figure out how to sing and play certain songs i like.. but you made it really easy.
i liked it man.... it was nice to play along with you so I can nail down the strumming pattern... you almost have to sing along or at least mouth the words to keep the timing.... nice tutorial
Loved your singing when you make the attempt to take it an octave higher lol. Made my night. Thanks for the tutorial! You will get many of my views while I use this to learn 😭😂
I feel you. That's the part that makes the song. Like you said, the chords are pretty basic. I suggest watching the video and watching his right hand while listening. That helps me with tutorials like this. Of course, this comment is over a year old, so you have probably figured it out by now and then some.
@@ManiacMageetheG no actually 😂 I just gave up. Shits not for me. I occasionally pick it up, but I spent 6+ months of seeing zero ground gained and that’s enough for me to know this wasn’t my calling 😂
@@TSLEMONADEHey, that's growth. Knowing your strengths and weaknesses is a triumph in it's own right. I will say that (even though I still suck) I didn't feel comfortable with guitar for over two years of playing. I am 40 and have only been playing for 3 years. It's hard, man, it really is. Especially if you want to be good. You might not have been as far off as you think, my friend. I wish you the best!
I love your tutorial and your cover they are both fantastic! I'm having a hard time with the strum pattern when you change chords from the F could you possibly explain the strum on the G AM and C?
F Chord - D D U UDU 2x Then 1/2 bar still holding F, D D U, Chord Change to G, D DU, Chord Chage to AM, D DU, Chord Change to C, D DU, Back to F 2 1/2 bars Let me know if this helped
Thanks so much man! Your voice is awesome btw, I could think of so many things you would sound good covering. Also I have full faith that you're capable of mastering the higher octave part, just avoid slipping into falsetto and give your mix more support and volume (:
Thanks man, this was really helpful. Based on your video, I think the chord progression would be written : Fmaj7/C / / / | / / / / | Fmaj7/C / G / | Am / C/G / ||
Nicely done man, love the tutorial. I’m not that great at guitar, but I want to get good enough to be able to play this for my girl. Any tips on how to get started? Or what to practice every day? Thanks!
Hey Adam glad you found this video helpful. This is a good song for beginners because these chords are used in so many songs. I would suggest you just keep practicing these chords and eventually your muscle memory will take over and you will be able to play them without even looking at your hands. Once you have the chords down then work on strumming pattern and singing. Hours of practice is the only way just be patient.
For anyone that might not have noticed. He says play G when you say "trippin". But when he plays it he actually plays G on "limit" and a minor on the "trippin" and C on "hallo" and then beginning of F on "genics". It's not even the correct way because you have a g bass in it, that makes it a different type of c chord instead of your standard c with the root base note being c.
I'm totally not talking crap bro but I'm copying down the cords as you play them with the words and it's just a LITTLE off 😂 not much but it's. (C) and. (F) on................. hallucinogenics

intro: F (D DU UDU) G (DUDU) Am (DUDU) C (D DU UDU)
verse is more like F (D DU) G (DUDU) Am (D DU) C (DUDU) F (D DU UDU) F (D DU UDU)
Finally, one that actually makes sense to me
What about the chorus?
