Yeah it's the best series by far I really hope we get more dnd/castle/fantasy themed cmf lines! Also I definitely wanna make something cool with the new baseplates!
The Dragonborn paladin is the obvious MVP but honestly this entire series is amazing because the collective parts for ALL of the figures always for a ton of customization. Whether you’re a castle fan or you just want to create other cool D&D or other figures. Even a part like the torso of the Mind Flayer or the skirt can be used for completely different figures
Yeah I completly agree the Paladin probably stands as my favorite figure of the year (also idk basil is pretty cool too) but the entire series was extremely well made and I hope they make more dnd/medieval/castle/fantasy style cmf lines and I hope the sales on this one will give them a good reason to
@@RioBricks Goliaths are essentially what Grog is, Leonins are...kind of like the Lion Tribe from Chima but different in some ways, Tabaxis are like humanoid cat people and if you've seen Critical Role, you probably know who Vox Machina is. As for Vecna, I think you mentioned him in your review of the Zsasz Tam figure
@@SilverScribe85 Hmm very interesting it would be pretty cool to get a variety of parts for different races and whatnot, also I'm aware of Vecna because of stranger things haha
Yeah I mean everything about the figure is just perfect although personally my favorite part is the new armor piece for customizing some high ranking knights!
It’s a Dagger not knife. The Elf with yellow ears is def my favorite figure. Great explanation of your list. My only issue with this series was lack of yellow faces. The Tiefling was also one of my favorites personally. Great Job on your video. Perfect sound quality. More videos like this! 🧡
Ah gotcha thanks for letting me know :) I agree that the gythyanki is such a great figure (especially if you use yellow skin) all the parts are so good and very versatile. I honestly could have put the tiefling in A tier its also a great fig but I wanted the tier list to be pretty balanced between amount of figures in each tier but looking back I wish I had just put them in A tier. Glad you enjoyed the video and I'll definitely be putting out reviews of new castle/fantasy themed sets that come out, I also plan on making a video upgrading/customizing the dnd figures soon so keep an eye out!
I think the gold dragon head would look good on the Lady of Pain body. And if you're not sure how to use the skeleton torso piece, turn it around and hide it under a cloak, so the plain part is in front. I don't have them yet but I'm dying to get my hands on them and start mixing them up!
Hmm that could work for the dragon head, I also might just use it on top of banners or as a decoration for a dragon knight castle. I think with the skeleton torso I can cover up the skeleton part with a long beard and make a wizard I didn't think of that while making the video though oops!
👍 + 🔔. Came back to watch again now that I have gotten to open some. Compared to past CMF series, none of these figures are below a "C" . The animals, the weapons, and the extra parts make it worth getting at least one of each. At my house the most popular figure is the Witch. The most popular animal is the dog. Weapons are not allowed on my Lego table,
Yeah I totally agree that this is better than any CMF we've gotten. Like I mentioned at the end of the video I tried to be as critical as possible with my rankings to have a balanced tier list but realistically if any of these figures were part of a worse CMF wave they wouldn't be below C tier. The only reason I put Szazz Tam and the Lady Of Pain so low is due to their parts not being terribly versitile for making custom figures but they are extremely well-done figures for sure! Thanks for watching!
I agree with most of what u said. Im not a fan of pink, purple and orange.. My list: S. Pala, Dwarf, elf warlock A. Druid, Witch B. Bird, vampire C. Skeleton, Demontail D. Medusa, Octopus, Bard. I bought a 36 pack and got 5 bards (my absolute bottom pick, tho u are right it has some custom potential, and the legs are rly nice)... 5 skeletons. 4 of demontail. 4 of druid. 0 octopus, 1 witch.. atleast I got 2 paladins. 3 of the rest. Bahh. So I basically got most of my bottom picks and my 3yo daughter cried because she wanted the octopus.. Disappointed, but could have been worse xD
Yeah thats a fair list mine was mainly based off custom potential so we have some slightly different ratings but probably overall have similar opinions. That's unfortunate about your 36 pack I would use minifig scan in stores to try and find the ones your missing. Good luck and thanks for watching!
Yeah this guy in the Lego Castle discord used yellow sharpie for all of his elves and it looked pretty good although I've heard it rubs off after a little while so I'm looking into some other more permanent options but I'll make a video on that at some point probably
While the Githyanki is full of useful customization parts I can't see you using many of them. Dragonborn and Tasha (arms, legs), a whole bunch of them would be useful.
Yeah I think you have a good point there, the torso and legs can be used for a few figs but not a ton I moreso I gave them S tier because the dagger is a top tier mold, the headpiece with yellow ears is awesome to get, the yellow face prints are great for me (as someone who uses yellow skin tones) and the reason I gave tasha only A tier is because although the legs and arms are top tier for a lot of customs I didn't find the rest of her pieces too exciting but I could have definitely put her in S tier looking back
I completely understand if you're a dnd fan and you really like her but personally as someone who knows nothing about dnd I can say she looks nice but her pieces are really hard to use in customs and not very versitle
Fair enough this is only my personal rankings and as I explained my rankings were mainly based on how useable the figures parts were for customization and I found the lady of pain and the vampire a lot less customizable as their prints seem to have very specific types of figures that could use them but I can totally understand why someone might love the figures :)
@rio0393 as someone who uses skin tone, I REALLY wish the githyanki used olive green. It's more accurate and would be an easy way to grow my orc army. There were a few more I disagreed with, but that's the biggest one. And also the offensive tone of my original comment was all in jest, in case you couldn't tell.
@@magicrealms Well that's fair if I were a flesh tone user myself I would probably agree plus more olive green heads are needed so fair enough. Didn't take your comment offensively though I was just curious which rankings you most disagreed with :)
I don't think that's a fair statement, is a review not your own personal opinion on a certain thing and explaining why you like/dislike certain aspects. I feel like I explained why I rated every character and why their parts are useful/not as useful or versatile for making customs and I explicitly said that I was rating them based on on the perspective of a custom minifigure maker and how good the parts are for customization :)
Cant wait to get my hands on these. Even the plates theyre standing on are going to be useful.
Great vid

Mostly agree with your list! Although I’d switch vampire guy with dwarf. Nicely done 👌
Fair enough, I just personally don't find much use for the torso and legs on the vampire that's my main problem

I suspect there will be more of these to come in the future
