- MMCM - Gotta Light?
Gotta Light?
Out in the desert, where silence slept,
In the dead of night, the shadows crept.
The bomb split the world, tore open the seam,
From the heart of the blast came an endless scream.
The air turned thick, heavy with dread,
And from the ashes, strange figures bled.
The Woodsmen rose, faces smeared with coal,
With a whisper and a purpose, dark as their souls.
And the bomb burned bright in that haunted night,
Awoke something wicked, far from sight.
In the heart of the fire, in the blinding glow,
The nightmare walked from the depths below.
The Woodsmen moved slowly, no light in their eyes,
With footsteps heavy as they claimed the skies.
"Got a light?" one whispered, voice made of dust,
Echoes of darkness, of hunger and rust.
Through the night they traveled, drawn to the weak,
Their whispers and shadows began to speak.
And when they found the radio, the voice in the air,
They turned it to static, a twisted prayer.
And the bomb burned bright in that haunted night,
Awoke something wicked, far from sight.
In the heart of the fire, in the blinding glow,
The nightmare walked from the depths below.
With a hand like a claw, he gripped the dial,
As static hissed in an endless spiral.
Then he leaned to the mic, let his dark voice flow,
And spoke to the world in a haunting, low:
"This is the water, and this is the well.
Drink full and descend.
The horse is the white of the eyes,
and dark within."
The words crept through the radio waves,
A chant of nightmares, leading the brave to graves.
The town lay still as the air turned cold,
For those who heard were trapped in its hold.
And the bomb burned bright in that haunted night,
Awoke something wicked, far from sight.
In the heart of the fire, in the blinding glow,
The nightmare walked from the depths below.
The creature emerged, born of nightmare and fire,
With wings and legs, a twisted desire.
It found a young girl, asleep in her bed,
Slipped to her mouth, claimed her head.
The Woodsman’s chant filled the air like a spell,
“Drink full and descend,” as innocence fell.
And the bomb burned bright in that haunted night,
Awoke something wicked, far from sight.
In the heart of the fire, in the blinding glow,
The nightmare walked from the depths below.
