Your videos explaining the tear down are absolutely great and helpful. Thank you. I’m just waiting on the next one, because I’m having soo much trouble putting the tank back in the car.
Getting ready to order a new driver side fuel pump. I found the o-ring and fuel level sensor easily but where did you get your return lines and the other gaskets you replaced? Also the only time I smell raw fuel is when I fill up, any other time it’s not there. Was yours the same?
Smell was During fill ups and during driving. Obvious leak occurred right before I replaced mine. I bought a used cross over pipe with return lines and retainers. eBay!
@@mikezaverin I appreciate the reply. I’m on the fence about having mine done because it’s going to cost me at least $1k but I suppose it needs it. Only time I smell it is when I fill up tho.
Great videos! I've been watching alot of videos and reading alot on the forums about doing this. I have to replace the sensor on the passenger side as well. What pump assembly part number did you go with for the Z06 pump? Did you list the part numbers of all the parts in another video?
Thanks for these videos. I'm debating tackling it myself. Did the level sensor come with that part number you ordered? The website says "Exc. Fuel Tank Sending Unit". Or is it included and just not installed on the pump?
@@mikezaverin OKAY, I BROKE THE NIPPLE TO MY TANK ON MY 07 DODGE RAM EVAP NIPPLE NEXT TO THE FUEL PUMP ON THE TANK AND NOW I NEED A NE TANK CAN'T REPLACE EVAP PART IT'S NOT REPLACEABLE , MY CORVETTE SMELLS LIKE GAS REALLY BAD IN THE CAB LIKE IT'S LEAKING INSIDE THE CAB

Watch my new videos, my next one will be the install and hopefully the recap. A lot of lessons learned.

Great videos.
I have a 2008 Corvette Z06.
Can you send me a list of parts you ordered for your car and where you ordered them?
There is a video that shows all parts or better yet go to GMoutletparts.com

Yea I did in part 2.5
I wonder, has GM improved the new replacement material with more cracking resistant or anti leaking material?
They have, new high pressure elbow is reinforced. I am sure different compound as well

pump came without the sensor but you can order a complete unit. I was going to go that route but the price difference was pretty substantial.
My return lines are broken an Can't find them,we're did you find the connector you got?
In the cross over pipe or tank?
YOU SHOULD TELL THE VIEWER THAT IF YOU ACCIDENTALLY BREAK THE EVAP NIPPLE YOUR UCKED, YOU WILL HAVE TI GET A NEW TANK
You can get used evap lines if that does happen. I would rather be worried about the return lines
