I have a question for you. I had the complete collection on VHS years ago and sold them when I got them all on DVD. Now, I'd love a digital copy of the Showa Era Godzilla movies in full screen (Pan and Scan) that only existed on VHS. I can find no one that has these great VHS tapes ripped to digital. If you still have this collection, Could I pay you to rip copies to digital for all the older Showa era ones?
I've been wanting to that for a while now, because the dubbing has diffrent voice actors. i do have a composite to HDMI cable and it would be easy to rip them but i dont currently have alot of time to do it. its a great idea because no one has them at all online. the time really hurts my schedule because i would have to set the VHS up and let it play in full for ever VHS. thats alot of time. and ive currently aquire a few dozen more. its more than a 200 hour project. but your right. that would be cool before these VHS are too degraded to read. maybe some time after May i could do it.
@@FarpointFarms so i got one of those video capture cards and was playing around with it to test it out. i can convert these to digital if you are still interested. text me @ markfinn32415 to gmail
i shrink wrapped them, only about two are factory sealed. but it did cost about 500$ on ebay in total. the shipping is what cost the most. other than that most are worth about 2 to 4$ really.
Oh thanks. It wasn't so hard to find. It wasn't every VHS but all the main ones. The obscure ones have really bad cover art anyways. But it only cost me roughly $500 for all of them and it took about 3 months to find them all on eBay.
I always find it interesting how a lot of VHS tapes use imagery from completely different movies on the box.
