Ideal race with N400 will be from RC390 with new engine.. Duke with its lack of aerodynamics can't do much due to windblast..

I brought duke 390 it is only 4days it is giving me lot of shoulder pain,before i use to ride rc 200 it was a lot more comfortable for city and highway , this upright position is giving me back strain im worried now So i dont suggest this bike even for city riding..naked bikes are shit 😢
Foremost reason is 2 cylinder engine is always better and more agressive then single cylinder engine.

For those wondering despite lower power/torque figures, how ninja is faster is because, the power band of ninja is significantly better, i.e. it reaches peak power quickly and maintains high power over larger rev range, this is possible thanks to 2 cylinder configuration
As an owner of new duke 390, ninja 400 is next level (even in terms of cost 👀)
Lower power? Indian version of N400 is capped at 46BHP rear wheel, whereas duke outputs like 44 BHP rear wheel. Torque is same.
@@titancodm1098 No your wrong buddy, the new duke does have power of 46ps(Indian varient N400 has 45ps) and a bit higher torque(new Duke 390 has 39NM while N400 has 37NM) please update yourself

Man this duke 390 is giving shoulder stress/pain in 4 day only, i rode rc 200 for many yrs and taught of purchasing D390 gen 3 thinking it will be very comfortable but now its feeling weird my upper shoulder is paining this was never issue with my rc 200, fuck this Naked bikes.. ☹️☹️

I still would vote for the Duke 390. Why? You need not rev the crap out of it to reach the moon. You definitely are not going to use the full counter in the street (although you've paid for it :D ) you definitely don't want to pay 5 plus lakhs for a motorcycle that is theoretically 20 kmph more at the top end. In every way, be it price, be it proposition, be it simply the face value, I think Duke 390 is simply a great motorcycle and being a single and packing in so much punch that in itself is a testament. The N400 does get some brownie points over the KTM abroad primarily owing to its rev happy nature, and being a twin and an engine that has such a small redline and in all, it's a great beginner bike and decent track bike, not really sharp as the KTM in and out of the corner, and at some short straights, KTMs still mean business. When the straights are longer, that's when Ninjas make their presence felt... :)

Ninja with its class won the race , Duke with its segment won the heart
Ninja 400 is a track machine, no way the duke is better than the ninja, might be stock vs stock but once you load up the ninja there's literally no comparison
Get better brake pads, new master cylinder, change the throttle tube with the r6 version, slap on a custom exhaust and add a powertronic, mine produces over 55bhp and tops out around 210kmph, but the interesting thing is the throttle is much more responsive, produces more torque lower down the rpm range and revs out over 12k rpm
I can easily cruise at like 140kmph and once at 140 if I open the throttle the bike doesn't break a sweat all the way up to 200kmph
One would argue that the price is creeping really close to the ninja 650 with all these mods and yes that's true, but remember both are essentially a parallel twin, the 400 revs higher and is much lighter (about 20-25kg lighter) so much more flickable in corners
You know what? Ninja 400 stock produces more speed in per gear top speed from Ninja 650 by 2/3 kmph in all gears
Ninja 400 is my dream bike from 2019 and there's almost no video on RUclips of Ninja 400 that I haven't watched. It's stock limiter is at 216 kmph
