It's coming to 6 years now since I've posted this song and honestly the sole reason for it was to just have this record on YT in good quality for myself and a few others who appreciate this kind of music. Now I'm writing this because throughout the years thousands of people have listened to it and dozens have left comments.. Comments that I would never have thought to see; some people expressing being alone, others who loved the movie, some people reminiscing times when on substances and some who still accompany their days with it.. I have read so many comments that made me think and I just wanted to say stay strong you wonderful people and carry on through whatever comes your way - live it.
Thank you for posting this. I will follow up with a Google drive link to this song for anyone who wants it. I took your link and downloaded it via mp3. As for why I love this song? Simple. It reminds me of when I was young and strung out on 400mgs of Morphine a day. I am now 31, 9 years sober, and I love this song and the scene it is played in twice because it portrays the withdrawal and desperation of an opiate addict near flawlessly.
Are you planning on updating the lyrics in the description to the actual lyrics sent by the songwriter Adam Flax? Used to listen to this when I was drunk or high on downers. Mostly when I injected heroin. Made me forget all of my problems. It doesn’t work anymore even when I inject heroin , I guess my problems are too much.
I spent a good 3 or 4 years addicted to shooting H and oxy. Suboxone is the only thing that’s helped me. I’ve been on it for almost ten years now, and I lead a pretty normal life. I have a career now and own a house on a few acres. But this movie and also the movie Candy just bring me apart every time. Anytime I try to kick the subs, it’s like I’m teleported right back to my late teens/early twenties, and I start thinking about things I haven’t thought of in years. It makes me realize that as much as I feel like I have my shit together, this bullshit is right around the corner. For anyone struggling, I feel you. I’ll be 32 tomorrow, and I still struggle. And for anyone thinking about getting into opiates, I swear to god it’s not worth it. No matter what you’re going through.
Former 12 year addict myself. Coke then Oxy/Fentanyl as well as Xanax. I've been off those for 4 years now. Was methadone first and now suboxone. I feel you completely. I've tried kicking both the methadone and suboxone and it hasn't worked out for me either. The withdrawals from those seem even a bit worse than the drug withdrawal. I've come to face the fact that suboxone may be permanent for me.😢
@@Rebnirak187 Good luck man, been there many times, 18 years worth of opiates, then heroin, alot of Xanax . Horrible withdrawals, jail withdrawal was the worst, finally had enough at 35. Been clean since but I'll never forget. You can do it man, if I can anyone can...... I know it feels hopeless sometimes but remember, your worth more than spending all your time trying to get high...... Good luck man.

I watched this in the summer of 2020 and my drunk dad was with me at the time. And one night I decided to watch this and it really put me in a better mood like watching movies like when your in a messed up household is a whole vibe idc
My best interpretation of the lyrics... Strawberry wine Is a house on a hill Brothers of mine I remember you still Float away days Down a river of schemes If I could touch the taste Then taste the smell The smell, the scent Oh the peace you gave to me, baby Like the fruit of your tree And if the room is spinning 'round I ain't ever comin’ down And as the room is spinning 'round I ain't ever comin' down Throw away time If I have it to lose Brother of mine I remember you too I blew my mind On the boat in the sky I can feel the way, That way we laughed, and laughed and loved all over the place baby... And we got so high And if the room is spinning 'round Then I'm never comin’ down And as the room is spinning 'round Then I ain't ever comin’ down No, I ain't never comin’ down And if the room is spinning ‘round Then I ain't never comin' down No I'm never comin' down... No! And if the room is spinning 'round Then I ain't never comin' down
He definitely is saying if the room is spinning round. I looked up some lyrics it said something different blown away days turn a river of steeps to wash the taste of salt that the sun only gave to me baby like the fruit of your tree and then it says here and after all that's been around I ain't never coming down but I'm pretty sure it's the room has been around
Then now far away darling if I have you to lose but you're not mine I remember you used to I blew my mind that I put in the sky... I won't feel the way we wet all over the place baby the need I still hide
Just wanna send prayers out to all those that are in morn/Rehab for the loss of their loved ones & those that struggle with addictions... always remember there is life after death, honour your loved one by choicing to live in accordance to what they wanted for you❤️
0:57 the first time I heard this I thought he was talking backwards and this part 0:57 is that if you hear it in another way it’s stuck in your head every time you sing It sounds like ‘ if I could touch the taste the smell the scent you gave to me baby’
I didn't ever want to come down. Tonight, I chose this song because I'm deciding to get rid of my addiction. Marijuana has numbed me to the point of not feeling any pain. 😢 but outside of that, it has become very destructive. I've hit rock bottom. I have a problem. I called a meeting and I'll be attending this Friday. I can't fight this one by myself.
😢 i love this song alot i remember listening to this song back in late 2019 back and forth back in forth in the dark room at an old friend's house just getting over my 11 +years of my relationship with my wife and also useing alot of meth and just went numbed for a long time still brings tears to my eyes its a bittersweet song but i also loved the movie 🎉🎉
When he decide fucks it, destroys the place and takes any money he can find n runs out to score. This song itself has beautiful imagery but matched with that scene.... Damn
I'm quitting codeine as of right now. Doses of 1,200mgs (sometimes twice a day) per day, it's a lot, the limit for what the body can metabolise into morphine actually. I am tapering so there are no extreme effects, i don't feel shitty but i just needed to let it out of me, thank you for reading if you did so.
Any opioid can, and will destroy your life. First they show you a glimpse of heaven, all while slowly turning your reality into hell and eventually becoming just an escape to normality from abhorrent withdrawal effects.

I watched this in the summer of 2020 and my drunk dad was with me at the time. And one night I decided to watch this and it really put me in a better mood like watching movies like when your in a messed up household is a whole vibe idc

My best interpretation of the lyrics...
Strawberry wine
Is a house on a hill
Brothers of mine
I remember you still
Float away days
Down a river of schemes
If I could touch the taste
Then taste the smell
The smell, the scent
Oh the peace you gave to me, baby
Like the fruit of your tree
And if the room is spinning 'round
I ain't ever comin’ down
And as the room is spinning 'round
I ain't ever comin' down
Throw away time
If I have it to lose
Brother of mine
I remember you too
I blew my mind
On the boat in the sky
I can feel the way,
That way we laughed, and laughed and loved all over the place baby...
And we got so high
And if the room is spinning 'round
Then I'm never comin’ down
And as the room is spinning 'round
Then I ain't ever comin’ down
No, I ain't never comin’ down
And if the room is spinning ‘round
Then I ain't never comin' down
No I'm never comin' down...
No! And if the room is spinning 'round
Then I ain't never comin' down
Thx man
He definitely is saying if the room is spinning round.

0:57 the first time I heard this I thought he was talking backwards and this part 0:57 is that if you hear it in another way it’s stuck in your head every time you sing
It sounds like ‘ if I could touch the taste the smell the scent you gave to me baby’
Definitely on my top 3 movies ever. Why can't I find this song on Spotify
I turned 18 in 1995

Nice !!
100% clean
This is making me feel ill...as I remember what it is like to "rattle" never again 😱😱😲😢
