I'm very impressed with how professional your tutorials have become - from your verbal instructions, camera closeups, the yellow printed instructions at just the right time and place on the screen, and the obvious time it must take to produce them - especially today's as it was a more complicated block. Thanks for these truly very detailed instructions :-)
Hi Newbeequilter. Yes, this block is complicated. It took me 2 long days to make this video, and it is the most complicated tutorial I have every made. Thank you so much for watching, and happy sewing.
I love your instructions the video. I just made one of these using another and I was like , I'm never going to make another of these blocks again. But with your instructions I may just give it another try. Thank you.
Thank you. I am so happy I have found you. Your tutorials are so precise and so easy to understand. I am almost ready to make quilts thanks to listening and watching how describe step by step
I liked this video. It seems kind of confusing to do this card trick pattern. I hope to try it sometime. Your directions are clear, but it doesn't take much to confuse me. Love the colors you picked out too! Thank you Sherrill !
Hi Judith. Yes you will have some extra half square triangles. Glad you liked the card trick quilt block tutorial. Thanks for watching💗and happy sewing😍
I am very new to quilting and loved your detailed instruction video. I very much appreciated all your details. I sewed the block today and I am very pleased with the result but not sure if I did something wrong. I cut out according to you directions 8 - background and four (4) each of the four (4) colors but after the block was completed I am left with four (4) background and one each of the four (4) colors plus some sewed together blocks. Is this correct there are lots of left overs or is it supposed to make two (2) blocks? Confused.
Hi Stewart. I am so glad the tutorial helped you to complete the card trick block. Because of all the different cuts that are done you will have pieces left over. These pieces are then used in the next block if you are making a quilt or table runner. Hope this helps. Thank you so much for watching, and happy sewing.
Please forgive me for asking, but what happened to your right hand? It acts like mine does at times. You are doing amazing. And thank you for the video
Hi Rhoda. I don't mind talking about my hand. Here is a video where I talk about my hand. ruclips.net/video/P9qK27NXPv4/видео.html Thanks for watching and happy sewing.
I made a queen size of this quilt for my daughter back in the 1980's and I still love it. Watching your video inspires me to do it again. Thanks!

You are so welcome!
Going to try this thanks
I'd starch that fabric before I cut. There are a lot of bias edges; starch will help stabilize them. Thank you for a great video.
Thank you so much for watching and happy sewing! 😍
This was very clear, thank you. I'm guessing you have half the squares left to make another block?
