      A study of the quarry and chisel marks can reveal a lot of the methods and excavation techniques employed.

    Don't sell the ancestors short :) The divine might contribute the motivation. The people have to cut the rock. Time and motivation moves mountains.

      There are still many mysteries in the way the rock was carved and removed, even without invoking alien or supernatural intervention. The lack of tools and heaps of discarded materials is perplexing.

    i would like to recomment some great ancient temples from india . 👉 Konark sun temple , karla rock cut caves , bedse rock cut caves , elephanta caves , kanheri rock cut caves , mahabailpuram rock cut temples , meenakshi amman temple, sri ranganathaswamy temple ( one of the largest and tallest ancient temple in the world , height - 73 metres, 2300 years old ) , pattadakkal monuments , aihole temples , badami rock cut caves , hampi , modera sun temple , rani ki vav step well, jambukeshwara temple, airavateswara temple , gaikondapuram chola temple , padamanabhapuram palace (asia's largest and oldest wooden palace ) , kuthira maalika palace , vettuvan kovil monolithic temple , khajuraho temple , gopachal rock cut jain monuments ,etc . This is the list of great ancient temples/ sites from india . Dont miss this places while visiting india
