Having read the books, I feel he is so immature. He is emotionally available (which Belly needed) but is quite selfish/childish in many respects. But to be fair, he is only 19-20ish. Lots of people go through a ‘college stage’ as they learn to move past childhood into adulthood.

Jeremiah might not want her first as Conrad did, but once Jeremiah liked her, he showed his heart directly, he was always so sweet and caring to Belly, he showed his feelings directly, he also compliments her, he never gave her a mixed signal, he was straightforward, he never hurt Belly... But Conrad is so mean to Belly, he kinda played with Belly's feelings.
I feel that I'm Team Jeremiah strictly because Conrad always kept his feelings so inward, almost like he was so afraid of rejection that he let Belly think he didn't like her for too long, so shut in. And Jeremiah loved so openly, the only reason he never told her his feelings was because he knew she liked Conrad. Jeremiah was never afraid to love her.

I just literally stumbled across this show, but now I’m invested. Despite everyone being team Conrad, I think I’m team jere, hear me out though. the show, shows the perspective of Conrads friendship with belly as a child, but doesn’t at all explain jeres childhood friendship from his prospective with belly, so being open minded, what if jere always felt about belly like belly felt about Conrad ,Hum? Also, watching the show it clearly shows jere’s jealousy (but let’s be honest we’d all be jealous over someone we’d loved /deeply liked that didn’t notice us, but noticed some one else) but despite jere trying to win belly’s heart through his jealousy he still and alway was there for belly , and the way he looked at her there’s no denying that he loved her even from the very beginning, he obviously just didn’t know how to tell her. As for Conrad in the show he was always flaky, because he kept shutting belly out from the very beginning, when he should have told the woman he supposedly loved what was going on which could have saved a lot of trouble, but don’t get me wrong I do have a soft spot for Conrad , you can tell he’s struggling to handle his emotions and that he really loves her as well, but he didn’t show up like Jere did in the show his actions kept breaking belly’s heart. Now only if he was honest from the beginning she may have never fell into jeres arms, Conrad pushed her out and now her hearts split between the two , due to Conrad actions. Which I think we can all agree is unfair to belly and kind of embarrassing for her as well. But…. I’m being bias , because this is my prospective from the show. For people that haven't seen the show / read the books it's going to be hard to like Conrad, because these scenes are going to make people hate him (they just don't know why he behaves like that), versus Jere's scenes, He's all happy all the time and people are gonna love him
1,000% Team Jeremiah. Although Conrad has liked her for longer, the idea of them together just doesn't sit right with me. He constantly makes mistakes with Belly and then tries to fix them, but his reconciliations almost always end up confusing Belly and creating more problems for himself, Belly, Jeremiah, etc. I do think that the infinity bracelet was symbolization that they will both always love each other, but as Taylor said, she will always love Steven, but she won't let it stop her from making other love connections. I feel that Belly just needs to let Conrad go and instead continue working on her relationship with her best friend, who already knows her so well, Jeremiah. Additionally, while I understand that Jeremiah has messed up sometimes, he hasn't messed up nearly as many times as Conrad. I also feel like although Jeremiah is a very flirty person, what he has with Belly is/was always sincere, and he stopped hooking up with people after he realized that his feelings for her were true (unlike Conrad). Finally, I felt like all of the Jelly kisses/makeout sessions were both genuine and exciting. The idea of a relationship between Jeremiah and Belly just sounds more exciting than a relationship between Conrad and Belly, who rarely kissed on Season 1 and just seem less in love. I suppose, though, only time will tell. Can't wait for Season 2!!!
I'm 100% team Conrad even if he behaved so bad to Belly. He really loves her and just pushes her away not to hurt her. However I can also think Belly didn't behave fine as they broke up when Conrad needed her the most (even if was him to shut her out). Let's see what season 2 will bring to us! I really like the show. It reminds me when I was a teenager!😃
I sincerely hope that Belly ends up with Jeremiah, I am not going to take the book into account, because changes can still be made, it is the moment in which at least the girl can stay with the one who has always been waiting for her, cheating on her or not. They deserve an ending. Will it always be the same story and will it end with the toxic? I have nothing against the protagonists themselves, each one plays their role well, but if it's not with Jeremiah, it won't make sense, are the good guys always destined to end up like this?
Jeremiah was not the good guy. He was always selfish. Conrad was always going through emotional trauma....but at the end he put Belly's happiness first. Above his own.

Maybe in the books Conrad was the better option but for sure in the show Jeremiah is the better option.

I haven’t read the books, but I am team Jeremiah. I mean he is there for Belly all the time, even if he knows that she is in love with his brother, he cares so much about her being happy, he was SUPER HAPPY to see her back, and even if he « ruined » the kiss between Belly and Conrad, it’s because he was pissed of his brother being suddenlly attracted to Belly and somehow play with her feelings. You can see in the flash back in season 2 on the piers, Conrad didn’t really cared about Belly’s feelings, when Jeremiah stayed with her when she was sick and actually really enjoying being with her.

I have read all the books twice and watched the series twice. Its hard as conrad brings out one version of belly while jeremiah brings out another version. both are so great and both boys deserve the happiness. Belly i love you but its you that is the toxic one lmaoo

I have read the books and I’m for Team Jeremiah.
I was really going to say team Jeremiah because him and belly were so cute together but after he start sabotaging conrad's attempts I feel like I was team conrad and plus the only really meaningful kiss was conrad and belly's the whole season. Conrad's kiss was so much more thoughtful and cautious is what makes it more beautiful than anything to be honest.

I just literally stumbled across this show, but now I’m invested. Despite everyone being team Conrad, I think I’m team jere, hear me out though. the show, shows the perspective of Conrads friendship with belly as a child, but doesn’t at all explain jeres childhood friendship from his prospective with belly, so being open minded, what if jere always felt about belly like belly felt about Conrad ,Hum? Also, watching the show it clearly shows jere’s jealousy (but let’s be honest we’d all be jealous over someone we’d loved /deeply liked that didn’t notice us, but noticed some one else) but despite jere trying to win belly’s heart through his jealousy he still and alway was there for belly , and the way he looked at her there’s no denying that he loved her even from the very beginning, he obviously just didn’t know how to tell her. As for Conrad in the show he was always flaky, because he kept shutting belly out from the very beginning, when he should have told the woman he supposedly loved what was going on which could have saved a lot of trouble, but don’t get me wrong I do have a soft spot for Conrad , you can tell he’s struggling to handle his emotions and that he really loves her as well, but he didn’t show up like Jere did in the show his actions kept breaking belly’s heart. Now only if he was honest from the beginning she may have never fell into jeres arms, Conrad pushed her out and now her hearts split between the two , due to Conrad actions. Which I think we can all agree is unfair to belly and kind of embarrassing for her as well. But…. I’m being bias , because this is my prospective from the show. I’ve never read the books, but now that I know the book exists due to theses comments, I’m going to go find and read them and maybe my mind will be persuaded to be on team Conrad, but as for now imma leave this comment at team Jere! bye for now.

For people that haven't seen the show / read the books it's going to be hard to like Conrad, because these scenes are going to make people hate him (they just don't know why he behaves like that), versus Jere's scenes, He's all happy all the time and people are gonna love him

Although Conrad has liked her for longer, the idea of them together just doesn't sit right with me. He constantly makes mistakes with Belly and then tries to fix them, but his reconciliations almost always end up confusing Belly and creating more problems for himself, Belly, Jeremiah, etc. I do think that the infinity bracelet was symbolization that they will both always love each other, but as Taylor said, she will always love Steven, but she won't let it stop her from making other love connections. I feel that Belly just needs to let Conrad go and instead continue working on her relationship with her best friend, who already knows her so well, Jeremiah. Additionally, while I understand that Jeremiah has messed up sometimes, he hasn't messed up nearly as many times as Conrad. I also feel like although Jeremiah is a very flirty person, what he has with Belly is/was always sincere, and he stopped hooking up with people after he realized that his feelings for her were true (unlike Conrad). Finally, I felt like all of the Jelly kisses/makeout sessions were both genuine and exciting. The idea of a relationship between Jeremiah and Belly just sounds more exciting than a relationship between Conrad and Belly, who rarely kissed on Season 1 and just seem less in love.
I suppose, though, only time will tell. Can't wait for Season 2!!!
I'm 100% team Conrad even if he behaved so bad to Belly. He really loves her and just pushes her away not to hurt her. However I can also think Belly didn't behave fine as they broke up when Conrad needed her the most (even if was him to shut her out). Let's see what season 2 will bring to us! I really like the show. It reminds me when I was a teenager!😃

I sincerely hope that Belly ends up with Jeremiah, I am not going to take the book into account, because changes can still be made, it is the moment in which at least the girl can stay with the one who has always been waiting for her, cheating on her or not. They deserve an ending.

Jeremiah was not the good guy. He was always selfish. Conrad was always going through emotional trauma....but at the end he put Belly's happiness first. Above his own.

Then there is the stuff he did in later books. Jer was never good for her. He never put her first. Conrad pushs her away because he's not in the right head space to be with her He's thinking about whats best for her. Even though he loves her, he proves that in later books.

Jere didn’t try to “manipulate them apart” it was clear he liked belly for awhile and got jealous seeing Conrad and belly about to kiss, you could see the tears in his eyes. That’s why he shot the firework. In the show, Conrad was being ignorant the whole time towards belly and you could clearly tell how jere was really caring towards her. Maybe in the books Conrad was the better option but for sure in the show Jeremiah is the better option.

I haven’t read the books, but I am team Jeremiah. I mean he is there for Belly all the time, even if he knows that she is in love with his brother, he cares so much about her being happy, he was SUPER HAPPY to see her back, and even if he « ruined » the kiss between Belly and Conrad, it’s because he was pissed of his brother being suddenlly attracted to Belly and somehow play with her feelings. You can see in the flash back in season 2 on the piers, Conrad didn’t really cared about Belly’s feelings, when Jeremiah stayed with her when she was sick and actually really enjoying being with her.
