NISSAN BELT AND BELT TENSIONER CHANGE V6

IT WAS NOISY (SQUEKING) AT COLD START AND FADE AWAY AS IT WARMS UP. THE PROBLEM IS THE BELT TENSIONER. BUT I MIGHT AS WELL REPLACE THE BELT TOO BECAUSE IT LOOK OLD AND WORN. REPLACEMENT OF BELT AND BELT TENSIONER ON V6 NISSAN. PATHFINDER, XTERRA, AND FRONTIER.
TOOLS NEEDED
10MM SOCKET AND RATCHET AND EXTENSION
8MM OR FLAT HEAD SCREW DRIVER
PLIERS TO REMOVE THE HOSE CLAMP
3/8 RATCHET, PREFERABLY LONG OR EXTENDABLE

no way i could get a torque wrench in there need to remove rad fan …..

@@nobody1322 the 2 piece plastic shroud can be removed by three bolts on top, two in the middle. I didnt remove it completely, but it gave me enough room to work.

Did you change your tensioner because of that chirping sounds? Did it fix the issue? I got the same chirping and its driving me mad

Mine didn’t have enough clearance to remove the tensioner belt because of the fan.

It should all b the same with plenty of clearance unless you have a different engine.

The belt tensioner does come as an assembly, with pulleys.
