the gravitating part is so real. from the moment I found his music I've been here cause there's just something so special that pulls me to stay here. I keep searching for the reason. started with one thing - the songs, then I joined in to the others. art, community, the person he is etc. and I'm reminded yet again why he's not just another artist to us. talking in depth like this about life and whatever. I don't know how to explain this feeling but it's like he's one of the people that really get it you know. these perspectives, how empathatic he is and whatnot just so relatable. As someone who has been the real girlfriend or wife or even relative of some successful artists I can say this type of thing is so rampant. I’ve had people (mostly women) grab me, my hair, throw things at me, make up lies, try to get my bf’s (or husband’s) attention in a toxic way. Literally I am just standing with them and sometimes I was in the performance! My artist boyfriends and cousins were so good at dealing with it. They weren’t idols so it was much less pressure, but it was still a thing. I had to have security with me at most shows. It wasn’t always necessary and I had to learn situational awareness. But no way was I giving in to haters. And no way was I going to stop being at shows and producing and such.
I missed the live stream! I'm so sad, but thank you so much for uploading it on RUclips! I can't tell you how disappointed I was to miss it live. Thank you again for sharing the video! I found myself watching his live again (thank for uploading them btw) because (tangent) I saw something similar with another artist a lot of people follow lately and I cannot stress enough how important it is for artists to have boundaries from fans and what he said is so on spot! There is absolutely nothing wrong with it, and it makes me so sad to see fans going “oh, they’re using this as an excuse” and “if you can’t handle being harassed, then quit being famous” and “well if you don’t show who your partner is and you’re famous then what’s the point” so on and so forth as if we the fans own them, no we don’t! I will be at the Houston concert alone. Very 1st time doing this, but him and his team are absolutely worth it. Im so glad he spoke up. I was talking to my husband about exactly this. People treat him like he is not a human being. Sadly, there are always fans that feel entitled, but im glad he recognizes the real ones. Im here for the art and his amazing music! His music has truly given me something and someone i can relate to. I have literally cried to his music. Im thankful he is a good person that genuinely loves his fans. He truly is a real one, he has my full support! ❤
I'm going to Houston too! I also got to go during the last tour and just wanted to reassure you that it is a great experience even if you go alone. I'm not an extroverted person myself and had to work up the courage to talk to another dreamer standing alone in line and everything went perfectly fine. Even after that, there were dreamers I hadn't talked to that were kind enough to chat with me before the show. Of course I can't say your experience will be similar, but I definitely think a DPR concert is something you'll be able to enjoy, even if it's just the performance itself. 🤗

Aside from the usual sexualizing/thirsty comments during the talking segments, everyone was really chill and super respectful. A lot of people were helping out by alerting Christian/staff when people fainted via pointing/screaming or using their phone flashlights and trying to fan them or make room or just pass around the water as quickly as possible beforehand. I was just as worried at the time about outbursts and such, but it was a relief to see and I would be surprised if anything changed. I think the venue changed, but the staff were also pretty quick to help. Hopefully it'll be the same this time, but even if it isn't I'm willing to bet dreamers would make up for the workload at least. And welcome to the fandom! I've actually known him since his idol days, but it always makes me super happy to see newer dreamers since I wasn't personally expecting him to do music again. Which song was your first? 😲

I literally have the feeling for quite some time now-that fandoms are going crazy-like a weird fanatic way. not in a good way🫣 „stans“ are completely losing grip of reality. I do get it,it’s sometimes alot nicer to be in your head but ..going feral over idols,musicians whatnot- it’s actually annoying at some point for the persob you‘re stanning-look at those weird a*s fan calls. it’s creepy.
Ok ! I saw bits and pieces of the IG live yesterday or this morning... (getting old) and left a comment. Now I saw the hole thing and I am fricking out because I have that same conversation ( in general) with my mother last week, she is 87 years old and realized that, what christian was talking about transcend generations, its wow! By the way if you need a French teacher, I will be there in Toronto for the show, so... But seriously, I am a new fan, not a normal fan by the fact that I connected with the song " dont go insane", and the rest is history. In my view an artiste does not have to justify himself for what he create ! We do live in a society that has changed enormously since the 90's and I am proud to say that if I had not my evil twin to back me up in certain circumstances, my life would have been even harder. As much as I understand what you're saying as a dreamer myself, I think it's important we be as careful and as specific about what we're actually saying because it's not all kpop fans. Obviously you didn't say it was, but personally I've been a kpop fan since his idol days before we existed as dreamers and I can easily tell you that, even nowadays with the kpop fansom as a whole becoming what it is, that this is generalizing. Realistically every fandom has its less than desirable fans because like it or not people are people and some people just suck. Thus, if we can't do much to change things beyond sharing opinion, I think it would be of better use to just say it's unfair toxic people get to be loud in their toxicity and stop the alienating. Especially since that's what they are trying to do to him by seperating him from being another normal person like most people and singling him out through their obsessions.

Aside from the usual sexualizing/thirsty comments during the talking segments, everyone was really chill and super respectful. A lot of people were helping out by alerting Christian/staff when people fainted via pointing/screaming or using their phone flashlights and trying to fan them or make room or just pass around the water as quickly as possible beforehand. I was just as worried at the time about outbursts and such, but it was a relief to see and I would be surprised if anything changed. I think the venue changed, but the staff were also pretty quick to help. Hopefully it'll be the same this time, but even if it isn't I'm willing to bet dreamers would make up for the workload at least. And welcome to the fandom! You said a lot & it all was wonderful. I feel like those words don’t do it justice but let’s just blame it on me being tired for the sake of my pride lol I think it’s empowering, brave & very needed to discuss mental health. It’s kind of like you said if they don’t like listening to it they don’t need to. Change the channel it’s simple. When people don’t wanna talk about mental health or they very easily dismiss it, part of me is jealous that they’re capable of doing that. Part of me thinks that means that they’re so good at burying their head in the sand they can ignore the world that’s on fire around them or these people lived such a good life that they can’t even begin to understand & if that’s the case, then I’m happy for them but mental health is real & real things need to be talked about.

I literally have the feeling for quite some time now-that fandoms are going crazy-like a weird fanatic way. not in a good way🫣 „stans“ are completely losing grip of reality. I do get it,it’s sometimes alot nicer to be in your head but ..going feral over idols,musicians whatnot- it’s actually annoying at some point for the persob you‘re stanning-look at those weird a*s fan calls. it’s creepy.
Ok ! I saw bits and pieces of the IG live yesterday or this morning... (getting old) and left a comment. Now I saw the hole thing and I am fricking out because I have that same conversation ( in general) with my mother last week, she is 87 years old and realized that, what christian was talking about transcend generations, its wow! By the way if you need a French teacher, I will be there in Toronto for the show, so... But seriously, I am a new fan, not a normal fan by the fact that I connected with the song " dont go insane", and the rest is history. In my view an artiste does not have to justify himself for what he create ! We do live in a society that has changed enormously since the 90's and I am proud to say that if I had not my evil twin to back me up in certain circumstances, my life would have been even harder. I'm glad he knows that there are way more genuine dreamers out here really listening and respecting the art than those who are trying to impose their own ideas of what something should be on others. As much as I understand what you're saying as a dreamer myself, I think it's important we be as careful and as specific about what we're actually saying because it's not all kpop fans. Obviously you didn't say it was, but personally I've been a kpop fan since his idol days before we existed as dreamers and I can easily tell you that, even nowadays with the kpop fansom as a whole becoming what it is, that this is generalizing. Realistically every fandom has its less than desirable fans because like it or not people are people and some people just suck. Thus, if we can't do much to change things beyond sharing opinion, I think it would be of better use to just say it's unfair toxic people get to be loud in their toxicity and stop the alienating. Especially since that's what they are trying to do to him by seperating him from being another normal person like most people and singling him out through their obsessions.
