Man I hope I don't get shafted!! LOL We shall see how it goes on the Lizard Trail, we will see you soon man. Word has it we got a new bike on its way!! New Company
Nick, I've already mentioned these things on your channel, but sharing this here too: I had Box One Xwide (the priciest and the claimed 50t) it did not work smoothly on 50t, the bushings wore out in less than 70km. I got a replacement, same thing there. I tried a Road link, which actually made the Rd be positioned better, guide pulley was close enough for smoother shifting, but only tested it one ride, and noticed the bushings got worn some more so it started to feel rough. Also cus you can't turn the clutch off without taking cover off, so taking the wheel off is harder.
Correct. You never know. If something is already jacked til ya use it. And if it jives with ya. I bought XTR at first I really was thinking I wasted my money. But it was sent to me bad. They sent another one and I still use it. Just a bad item at times.
That group set looks nice and seems to shift well. We’ll see how it does Tuesday. Thanks for the shout out and yes, I like classical music. My policy when it comes to music is I like anything but rap (except the early classic rap, think Sugar Hill Gang).

Great video as usual! I can’t wait for the real-time review. You have to let me know if the Box 9 groupset is as good as the Microshift. So far I’ll give it a 10 on aesthetics. That is one of the best looking group sets I’ve seen.
I wan the box 2 groupset and it worked good. Then the chain stated freezing links and after five master links I went and bought a Shimano 9speed chain for like 18.00 and it was perfect.
Been running prime 9 on sale(whatever the red one is)-Bolany 11-50 9 spd . cassette(dirt cheap sale couple years ago-Amazon) kmc x9sl chain(again sale)whole price canadian 160 bones. works like it should. dont even notice the hard clutch after a few rides( hulk thumb) lol.
Great video! I'm a bikepacker with a fat bike. I went the route of 1x12 (SRAM NX) and it always has felt a bit flimsy, always clicking looking for the right gear, kinda tricky to tune the gears out in a trip. Saw this company on berm peak and saw the box 3 version. 9 speed seems like it offers some attributes that might lend well to a loaded bike on a multi-day trip. The price on their website won't be too painful if he doesn't workout for any reason. Great vid!
Yes boys great video! That group set looks sweet on the Ron Burgundy! I wish it was just as cheaply priced up here in Canada or even readily available. USA has so much more stuff that we can’t get up here through Amazon. We would have to get it through US stock and pay through our ASS. 😤😢. Oh well have a great weekend boys and see you Tuesday 🍻
ive had issues with the btension screw insert on that groupset. :P keep an eye out and let us know if you experience the same. box, did a good job with sending me new inserts to fix it up though.

Thanks brother, did not really know about box until about a year ago. Interesting they were available. Thanks for the comment and we will see you Tuesday!!
How far or close can my chainring be from the chainstay? If I put mine any further out, it looks like I don't have a lot of spline left for my crank to sit on. Maybe 1/2" or less.
Well, depending on the clearance of the tire...I put mine as close as it can be. Remember, chainline needs to be inline at the 5th Cog on the cassette, just go from there.

I have rode a bike with box and I say it’s similar to shimono and you know I’m not a fan of shimono it is good looking tho and another thing since the derailleur hanger is aluminum and the derailleur is steel using grease can make you want to over tighten it causing fractures you always want to use a bit of thread locker anyways love the video

For 180 you can get a NX 11 speed with sram cassette and 35 for a goblin crankset on ali express. Personally I like the NX 11 better than the shimano 12 XT. My goto is sram eagle GX. Box has a pretty good name for themselves , when they first came out they had this weird shifter that only had one lever, I remover wtahcing videos of that
I dont like it so much. It feels cheep, also the derailleur is too loose. Keeps flapping from uneven terrain and cost chain to skip under load. Shame that there is no adjustable clutch for that price.

Man only thing box we have had is a stem, but if the groupsets are anything like the 35mm box stem we got then it should go well!! HA ha hope to not have a Timber or a BERSERKER experience!!
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS lol
Box has a pretty good name for themselves , when they first came out they had this weird shifter that only had one lever, I remover wtahcing videos of that
Hmmmm.....that sounds like a reinvention of the wheel! 😂😂🤣
🤣 Chuck U.. straight face..
berm peak used box components
Cool man👍
Box is high end stuff.
I dont like it so much.
It feels cheep, also the derailleur is too loose.
Keeps flapping from uneven terrain and cost chain to skip under load.
Shame that there is no adjustable clutch for that price.
Interesting, I can say our setup is working just fine with very minimal chainslap.
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS thx for reply!
I will cut of two links and try out.
Otherwise its working fine, but im scared to push hard, cuz it might break some teeth.
Ill let you know soon.
Will keep comment open for other ppl. with same issue.
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS Well i cut the chain with two links and no effect!
What im doing wrong? Or the derailleur is really a garbage...
88th view!
Actually you were like 120th view. The views you see are delayed. Sorry if that disappoints, but we thought you should know😆. Thanks man👍
