It was a great show. I have to agree that anyone I’m cool with can date my ex. As much as I cared for her - I let go. When we get upset, it’s multifaceted. One, we never truly let go and should NOT be in future relationships until we learn to let go, because we’re now bringing that trauma to someone else.
Two, it’s from a place of trauma. In urban areas, specifically when we were raised in single parent households, all many men have is their girl and at times siblings. When you’re dating just to smash, it’s one thing, but when people are looking to grow generational wealth, they’ll often find themselves dating the same circle because those are the ones in their dating pool in which they would even give energy too.
