This video shows their journey from the very beginning until the present day. The wolf also does the same thing. The wolf biting the golden apple represented them winning the best new metal band award. The wolf ran at top speed through most of the video, but then stopped in the snow storm. His head was lowered and the fire in his eyes went out. This represents the difficult time they're in right now - Miho leaving, Covid, etc. However, at the end, the wolf's head came up and the fire in his eyes reignited. He was then off running at full speed again. I think this was the band's way of telling the wolfpack that, even though they've stopped for now, they'll be up and running at full speed again soon. Hi Chad, as a Japanese man myself, I think the cherry blossom doesn't necessarily mean "will come back in Spring". I think It simply symbolizes a new start, I guess the message is "the time to suffer is over, and this is a new beginning".

Of course we all hope they continue on as Lovebites. The world would be a colder place without them. The video appears to send an optimistic message, and they have all said on social media that they plan to continue, so we just have to take it at face value.
As I have said I have been through this before and hope the message that they seem to be sending holds up. A generational gift like this hopefully can't disappear. The brightest stars often burn the shortest but I want this band more than any other to survive and know that they can thrive if they continue. There is so much room in my Lovebites drawer and it needs to be filled with the music that just inspires and uplifts you at every turn. Enjoy the hiatus ladies it is well earned. I think you are right in that this song is a little bit nostalgic, in the sence that they are saying goodbye to Lovebites mach 1 and at the same time they are saying hello to the unknown future ( the wolf is running in into a bright future in the end). All the bandmembers Midori, Miyako, Haruna and Asami have on different occations said that they will stay together as Lovebites.. Soo looking forward to Lovebites mach 2.. Yes, both Asami and Miyako are married and Miyako got her first kid in August, so she was 4 months pregnant on the last tour, that was probably the reason she was the only one who dod not wear high heels on those gigs.. It is a beautiful piece with Miyako's sick guitar riff, Miyako's piano, Midori's acoustic guitar, Asami's dancing, whole visual setup, Midori's passionate solo, Midori's blizzard like riff near the end, and Miho/Haruna's perfect rhythm. This is the fastest that Midori and Miyako have had to play at for an entire song. In some solos they get close but sustained through an entire song like this hasn't been done before. I don't think the BPM is higher than some of their thrash songs so Haruna and Mino aren't really putting in any extra work but Miyako and Midori are.

This is the memorial song of the lovebites(that made the leader miho) and the video shows the memories of the band. That's the reason why the song is very long I think.
They only have 3 Studio albums but the average length of each song is over 5 minutes. They have shown they know how too develop and maintain a longer told musical story. They arent just songs these are stories and tales. They are on another Level .......Seriously.
The lyrics have a double meaning, and so does the wolf. On one hand, the song's about moving forward and the wolf represents the band. On the other hand, the song's saying goodbye and the wolf represents Miho going off on her own journey, without stating it obviously, meaning she's the "nameless warrior". I'm not sure if the double meaning was intentional, but if it was, it's brilliant. Same with the art direction. It could have been five wolves, but it was just one, which really leaves a lot of room for interpretation. As for marriages and pregnancies, yes these sorts of things have caused the end of many Japanese women's music careers, but that's been changing in recent years, and Lovebites have assured fans that they have no plans to retire just yet.

In my opinion, this is one of the best and most beautiful songs with which the band excellently said goodbye to the era with Miho, a former founder, a great leader of the band and one of the main composers and songwriters. A spectacular farewell to a former and very talented bass player. I don't remember which band would say such a grand farewell to a former member and their joint musical journey. Another opinion of mine is that a wolf can symbolize a band. Their journey with light and dark moments. It is known that Miho wanted to leave the band several times before. Maybe her decision helped Marriage Asami and Miyako. Miho knew the band would have to take a break. Maybe Miho didn't feel full in the band anymore. But these are just my speculations. At the end of the song, the black wolf turns into a white wolf and runs on in the shining snow. This may mean their continuation in the glowing future with a new bass player. The wolf did not stop, but ran on, which I think the band wants to continue. She just took an indefinite break. Asami also confirmed that they want to continue all 4 amazing women from the band, which is great. I believe it. I like the quiet part of the song the most. Like when there is peace after the storm. It completely "kills" me. A wonderful break in the song, which, after a quiet passage, picks up a breathtaking tempo again. What tell your speculations about the urgency of a hiatus because of the Covid situation? Combined with marriages and child births, the band's future was in peril. This gave them a chance to restart the band after the April 2021 lockdown with a new bass player. And when did her father pass away? Actually, LOVEBITES were reactivated in Dec 2022 with the single, Miho even later in Apr 2023 with a music video.

So I asked an additional question, that you never answered, trying to figure out, what happened with respect to Miho. I think, that the Covid break was the chance for both Miho and the band to part ways and realign. It took almost 2 years to restart with a new lineup, but the fans are still there. Miho had hard times (I can feel the same, my mother had passed away a year before Covid, and Covid had made my life extremely hard), and there must also be something with the role, that she played in the band, that's the part that I don't understand at all. So I guess, you can't tell us more...

This is not "Sayonara". It is just the end of the first phase of the band. They have already confirmed that they will be returning. Miyako's married and had her baby, and Asami is getting married. They are also recruiting a new bassist.
of note, it's a lone wolf... it's also the final song to feature Miho. I think part of the symbolism symbolic of the wolf leaving the pack, becoming the nameless warrior (many of the lyrics seem to reference bits of Miho's struggles/sadness since her father died, IMO), the pack carrying on.. but maybe holding out hope that one day the lone wolf finds it's way back to the pack? But that the journey will continue, at it's breakneck pace. I admit I could be reading my own hopes into it some, as Miho was the literal soul of the band. Looking at all of the behind the scenes stuff makes me sad. Miho always looks so happy. LOVEBITES was definitely climbing the ladder of success, and it looked like the ladies all got along. It just goes to show that we don't truly know these people no matter how much footage is shown or how many interviews they give. I'll always love all five of them and will certainly embrace whoever picks up the bass guitar in the future (I volunteer!), but Miho leaving shocked me more than Marco leaving Nightwish.

Looks like they included some footage from their performance at Bloodstock 2018. I was there. Nightwish happened to be the Sunday headliner there that year if you are interested, though the video quality may not be as good as some of the other live performances you may have seen.

I was in the crowd for the Skindred performance there this year. When I watched the videos back afterwards, the audience did sound quieter than I remember it being.

Another commentor mentioned that the final scene shows the wolf running into the future with cherry blossoms falling so he believes it indicates the possibility that they plan to return in the Spring. Oh, and the golden apple represents the award they won in 2018 - the Golden Gods award for best new band.
Hi Chad, as a Japanese man myself, I think the cherry blossom doesn't necessarily mean "will come back in Spring". I think It simply symbolizes a new start, I guess the message is "the time to suffer is over, and this is a new beginning".

As I have said I have been through this before and hope the message that they seem to be sending holds up. A generational gift like this hopefully can't disappear. The brightest stars often burn the shortest but I want this band more than any other to survive and know that they can thrive if they continue. There is so much room in my Lovebites drawer and it needs to be filled with the music that just inspires and uplifts you at every turn. Enjoy the hiatus ladies it is well earned. Once the fire returns I have no doubt they will continue, hopefully together as a band that will dominate!!!
I think you are right in that this song is a little bit nostalgic, in the sence that they are saying goodbye to Lovebites mach 1 and at the same time they are saying hello to the unknown future ( the wolf is running in into a bright future in the end).

Yes, both Asami and Miyako are married and Miyako got her first kid in August, so she was 4 months pregnant on the last tour, that was probably the reason she was the only one who dod not wear high heels on those gigs..

It is a beautiful piece with Miyako's sick guitar riff, Miyako's piano, Midori's acoustic guitar, Asami's dancing, whole visual setup, Midori's passionate solo, Midori's blizzard like riff near the end, and Miho/Haruna's perfect rhythm. This is the fastest that Midori and Miyako have had to play at for an entire song. In some solos they get close but sustained through an entire song like this hasn't been done before. I don't think the BPM is higher than some of their thrash songs so Haruna and Mino aren't really putting in any extra work but Miyako and Midori are.
I agree those solos are approaching DragonForce speeds, easily the fastest I have heard from Lovebites over an extended period of time.

The lyrics have a double meaning, and so does the wolf. On one hand, the song's about moving forward and the wolf represents the band. On the other hand, the song's saying goodbye and the wolf represents Miho going off on her own journey, without stating it obviously, meaning she's the "nameless warrior". I'm not sure if the double meaning was intentional, but if it was, it's brilliant. Same with the art direction. It could have been five wolves, but it was just one, which really leaves a lot of room for interpretation. As for marriages and pregnancies, yes these sorts of things have caused the end of many Japanese women's music careers, but that's been changing in recent years, and Lovebites have assured fans that they have no plans to retire just yet.

Thank you so much for this amazing reaction video. In my opinion, this is one of the best and most beautiful songs with which the band excellently said goodbye to the era with Miho, a former founder, a great leader of the band and one of the main composers and songwriters. A spectacular farewell to a former and very talented bass player. I don't remember which band would say such a grand farewell to a former member and their joint musical journey. Another opinion of mine is that a wolf can symbolize a band. Their journey with light and dark moments. It is known that Miho wanted to leave the band several times before. Maybe her decision helped Marriage Asami and Miyako. Miho knew the band would have to take a break. Maybe Miho didn't feel full in the band anymore. But these are just my speculations. At the end of the song, the black wolf turns into a white wolf and runs on in the shining snow. This may mean their continuation in the glowing future with a new bass player. The wolf did not stop, but ran on, which I think the band wants to continue. She just took an indefinite break. Asami also confirmed that they want to continue all 4 amazing women from the band, which is great. I believe it. I like the quiet part of the song the most. Like when there is peace after the storm. It completely "kills" me. A wonderful break in the song, which, after a quiet passage, picks up a breathtaking tempo again. I love this band, which can always pleasantly surprise with its ideas, immense talent. They are simply phenomenal. Keep Up The Great Work. Take care and be safety :-).
What tell your speculations about the urgency of a hiatus because of the Covid situation? Combined with marriages and child births, the band's future was in peril. This gave them a chance to restart the band after the April 2021 lockdown with a new bass player. And when did her father pass away? Actually, LOVEBITES were reactivated in Dec 2022 with the single, Miho even later in Apr 2023 with a music video.

So I asked an additional question, that you never answered, trying to figure out, what happened with respect to Miho. I think, that the Covid break was the chance for both Miho and the band to part ways and realign. It took almost 2 years to restart with a new lineup, but the fans are still there. Miho had hard times (I can feel the same, my mother had passed away a year before Covid, and Covid had made my life extremely hard), and there must also be something with the role, that she played in the band, that's the part that I don't understand at all. So I guess, you can't tell us more...

Anyways, This whole video is about a sending off to Miho and a farewell to Miho era of Lovebites. This is a chronological footage of Lovebites' history from the very beginning which is the release of Don't Bite the Dust in 2017 till Miho's departure. I don't know about change of the color of the Wolf.
The golden apple is Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award as the best new band of 2018 which they were awarded. The snow storm symbolizes Miho's absence and the falling cherry blossom shower at the very end symbolizes Spring and the end of Winter, and that means a new start and new life in Japan. You must visit Japan in April and May, dreamingly beautiful all over, a bit like Buenos Aires in December with Jacaranda blossoms.
The part saying "now is the moment we'll never forget" is literally as it is. This is the last song they play as the original Lovebites. It started from here.Finally, the wolf has withstood the wind and snow, but his eyes are not dead. In Japan, the time when cherry blossoms dance is April.
This is not "Sayonara". It is just the end of the first phase of the band. They have already confirmed that they will be returning. Miyako's married and had her baby, and Asami is getting married. They are also recruiting a new bassist.

of note, it's a lone wolf... it's also the final song to feature Miho. I think part of the symbolism symbolic of the wolf leaving the pack, becoming the nameless warrior (many of the lyrics seem to reference bits of Miho's struggles/sadness since her father died, IMO), the pack carrying on.. but maybe holding out hope that one day the lone wolf finds it's way back to the pack? But that the journey will continue, at it's breakneck pace.
I admit I could be reading my own hopes into it some, as Miho was the literal soul of the band. I am excited to see where they go from here, and wish nothing but happiness for all of them, but I can't help but wonder how Miho's absence will change their DNA.
There are 3 groups that stand out right now to keep rock healthy and they are: LOVEBITES, NEMOPHILA and THE WARNING. As I am an old man I am delighted to see that these are 3 exclusively female groups. Well done and thank you girls. Keep it up, rock is in good hands!

Looking at all of the behind the scenes stuff makes me sad. Miho always looks so happy. LOVEBITES was definitely climbing the ladder of success, and it looked like the ladies all got along. It just goes to show that we don't truly know these people no matter how much footage is shown or how many interviews they give. I'll always love all five of them and will certainly embrace whoever picks up the bass guitar in the future (I volunteer!), but Miho leaving shocked me more than Marco leaving Nightwish.

Looks like they included some footage from their performance at Bloodstock 2018. I was there. Nightwish happened to be the Sunday headliner there that year if you are interested, though the video quality may not be as good as some of the other live performances you may have seen.

I was in the crowd for the Skindred performance there this year. When I watched the videos back afterwards, the audience did sound quieter than I remember it being.

I think the song was made because the members value the time they spent with Miho. Lovebites probably had a strong bond between the members.
Let me tell you a little bit about the cherry blossoms that are scattered in the final scene.
In Japan, cherry blossoms are treated as a "symbol of a new start" such as admission and new life.
In the video, one wolf is always running, but there is a scene that stands on the top of a golden fruit or a huge rock on the way. Perhaps this is a "golden fruit and the summit of a giant rock" that expresses that Lovebites, led by leader Miho, won the award and that his dream as a world-class band came true. I am thinking.
