    That’s amazing I managed to catch an ant queen but unfortunately she died but I don’t know what for yet but I think it’s because the lack of equipment and me moving her to much but now I have a test tube I can properly raise an ant queen now so I’ll try again

    Imagine a guy that’s very strong with blades and shields, versus a GUN.. though the strong man with blades is super powerful, and would win in a 1v1 without guns, it’s still, well, a GUN.. gg

    Surprised Odontomachus lost a 1 on 1 fight. The biggest weakness of Odontomachus and Pachycondyla is that they have very poor coordination with nestmates. They hunt alone; they never Zerg Rush opponents.

    • @sergioibarra3461
      @sergioibarra3461 Год назад +1

      formic acid is the key here, there’s a formica species in north america specialised on hunting odontomachus and they’re very effective. Trap jaws aren’t really useful when your opponent blasts acid in your mouth if you try to attack them

      Not true, Odontomachus has very good communication with nest mates, they may often hunt solo but when ant wars break out Odontomachus usually wins because they call reinforcements and then slowly and repeatedly strike the enemies from all sides

    I don’t think you should capture single ants and force them to kill each other, I think you should do what you did last time if you want to do an ant war, raise two experiment colonies and connect them together after a while, even if you did this 4 years ago, it’s still unethical

      Yet you happily eat meat, thus killing far more animals for your enjoyment. Life is not all sweet and roses. There is suffering and death for humans, ants and everybody. If you can not deal with it, that is your problem.

      @marioxerxescastelancastro8019 Your point is very correct! These crybabies yap and yap about animal cruelty about insects yet they still eat meat and kill spiders around their house and such! Insects can’t feel pain, they are a step above a chemical reaction, so you can’t really be cruel to them.

But if they found it cruel, then they shouldn't have watched it past the disclaimer.

      Lemme tell you something ants can’t feel pain. You eat meat happily, and you don’t find it cruel? Then why do you find creatures who are barely even consciouss killing each other cruel, they can’t even feel pain! Ants fight all the time, D colony only collected 1 worker of each species from the wild, worker ants die all the time and get replaced! This does not harm wild colonies.
      You only believe in this philosophy because Esthetic Ants started a witch-hunt to cancel RUclipsrs who are committing so called “Animal Cruelty” he even admitted he went too far. You only believe this because you are following the herd like the majority of the antkeeping community.

    This is very saddening but also interesting at the same time, I wouldn’t ref one t people to do this but it was cool to watch. I actually had a similar experience Except with an entire colony once my fire ant colony when it was young with about 200 workers was foraging and found a ghost ant colony in the outworld with about 300-800 ants and instead of one by one going and dying they rushed all inside at the same time with at least 70% of the worker force and killed them constantly spraying for if acid. Later I could see them carrying away brood to eat and multiple queens.

      @@Dcolony disclaimers don't make cruelty alright, that's not how it works. disclaimer or not this is wrong and its abit rich calling it an experiment. i imagine the manager at the Colosseum said the same thing when they'd send slaves in to die against lions "experiment". when the Japanese were torturing people to death during ww2 in the most horrific ways possible they were just "experimenting". scientists have to break down there experiments morally before conducting them in this day and age, find the best way to get the results with as little suffering as possible. you could of just found some in the wild fighting, you didn't force them to fight in that scenario, your just a witness to nature. a fight in a random tub between 2 random ants = NOTHING. an experiment that cannot be repeated morally = nothing. without enough data on ant health, conditions and space to express natural behaviors ie run away this experiment contributed nothing to Ant keeping or science.

    • @Dcolony
      @Dcolony  Год назад +2

      I never said disclaimers make it right, but it should stopped you right there. And another thing It is cause by curiosity but it it's an experiment, experiments provide insight into cause and effect by demonstrating what outcome occurs when a particular factor is manipulated. I manipulated the place of event which you called the tub. As I've said I get what you're coming from, but it's too much to compare this one on your examples but I don't mind i guess that's pretty normal thing to ridicule someone. Sufferings? Ants don't feel pain. Call me self righteous or cruel, that's fine with me but I'll end it here with this. I don't want a debate with someone who compares ant to human life.
