Watching this on my V3. I have used multiple devices, iOS, android, nothing phone but this is a whole new experience. Absolutely love it. Someone coming from iOS might get overwhelmed with all the settings you have to go through at the start to make it personalised but it's worth it.
I was watching this video and saw this comment as I also found the same problem on my V3. But I think I found the solution. I disabled the keyboard and screen edge protection in the settings and it seems ok now. I also get an annoying bug that is sometimes when I open the browser and am typing a text to search in the address bar the keyboard (gboard) closes.. specially when I use space or "."
Also it supports desktop mode like samsung Dex .. it turned you phone to a PC like … WOW … honor is the premium version of fold phones … i have ordered one .. it is in the way .. so excited
I would be interested in a video to see how the pen works, whether it supports inclinations and how it works on the crease in the middle between the two sides
Do you use the front frame as well or just the back cover only? I use both for better protection but the phone becomes so thick and so heavy then. That's my only beef with this amazing foldable. But lately I saw some 3rd party thinner and lighter back covers only and without the kick stand which I don't really use or need that extra weight.
nice video with a lot of detail and enthusiasm! Just checking do you know, - if using the magic desktop mode, is it possible to connect the phone via cable to a simple monitor to create a 'desktop' by cable, for example using a usb c to hdmi converter?
Yes indeed I use the Edge Panel a lot too on my Note10 and on this device it is utilised for image, text and file sharing. As per the video you simply pick up, drop and drag said file to either side of the window and you can share it to any number of apps. I might make a short if that helps so be sure to sub.
I'd love a video of all the tips and tricks on the software as I've purchased one, and I haven't even taken it out of the box as I've only ever used Samsung I'm currently using the z fold 6.
just to be clear, samsung ui is well built because they already use a massive tank of system storage with around 50 - 80 gigabyte!!! while my Honor V3 only taking up to 16gb of system storage and it's already well built!!!
Do thr notifications for whatsapp come through? One review said it doesn't always work, once you open the app you have messages that came through hours ago

I had it sold for pixel 9 pro fold, Google better for me, but the v3 was amazing, but I missed circle to search instead of the knuckle search function on v3. Multi tasking better on v3. Much prefer the Google ecosystem though.
@marcelontech I didn't dude unfortunately. I have everything Google in the house though, security cams, doorbell, pixel tablet, so made sense to go with the Google. I prefer that Ecosystem and simplicity. The honor was great though, loved the size, just didn't like the software as much. Each to their own.

Great to hear a shout out to the Note 10+, still my second favorite phone, I used until I switched to the Fold 4, but my wife still uses it! I'm a Samsung sucker, I use the spen every for work (I'm an architect, so drawing and note taking all day long) and keep everything on Samsung Notes. I really wanted to switch my phone this year, but Fold 6 is very bland. I'd like to go for this, but I'm afraid the pen doesn't live up to the s-pen and the software let's me down compared to One UI. Can you make a video about the pen and the software, maybe comparing it to Samsung? Thanks!

You also currently get earbuds as well. Got one coming just a bit worried about servicing if I got a Samsung I would get care plus, nothing like that is available at Honor.
Hello mate, it does depend where you are ordering from. They offered my discounted buds but didn't get them as i have tried them before. Yes the service support is very important but I find that the app and chat function does work well. I just hope not to need it
I've had Samsung phones for years and the customer support has really gone downhill. It used to be pretty good. But, I had problems with a Fold 3, a Fold 4 and a Fold 5, and in each case it took months of frustration and arguing to get them fixed. It was the same problem - the wifi would disconnect when the phone was opened due to a dodgy internal connection. I eventually got the 4 and 5 repaired under warranty, but the 3 was old and out of warranty, so I didn't bother with that one.
Screen share was available on my honor view 20 in 2019 and my 2018 Huawei mate 20 pro. Funny how apple has only just got on this. Nice review btw. Not sure whether to get the V3 or hold out for the honor magic 7 pro 🤔
Hahaha you are so right. Apple have (invented) this tech for the masses but its not new for sure. Well you have 2 different form factors with these devices so you might want to decide if you are ready for a foldable for flagship candybar. Thank you for you positive feedback.
Best hardware? Yes. Software on the other hand... just basic. They have a long way to get a great user interface. They should check with Oppo / OnePlus to get some ideas and top it up with Pixel UI. Also, good camera HW but SW is missing - not too great pictures... Obviously, they could have been much better than that. Best overall? No way!

I also come from iOS, but somehow the external display is too slow when typing on Gboard. Is it the same for you?
Absolutely agree. The device is epic for both hardware and software.

Good question. The back cover is use but not the front as it changed the feel of the phone. I agree some 3rd party carbon covers look really cool!

Can you show us how the sidebar works? That is the most useful thing on Samsung for me. I have folders I create on the sidebar. (edge panel)

Mine came with charger in the box 66W But no free Pen which is definitely worth more. Had to buy my own pen.

Z fold 6 has some refinement to the software and i wish the magic v3 had a udc, overall the v3 is the better phone
